My only concern was that I had become used to Rover hires providing a daily update; I had not explicitly asked for this and Donte sent one unprompted update (on Christmas), but he was very quick to respond when I reached out to check in on her. He also offered an important observation at pick up about the length of my dogs back toenails, indicating careful attention to the dog’s wellbeing.”

About: I’ve had dogs for over 15 years and have always been very hands on with their care. I raised my Yorkie and Dachshund from puppies and cared for them throughout their entire lives. I’ve also watched other dogs, including Corgis, Maltese, and Beagles, and I’m most comfortable with small to medium sized dogs. My two dogs recently passed away after long, happy lives, and I’m not quite ready to have another dog of my own yet. I have always been an animal lover and genuinely love being around animals. I honestly can’t imagine my life without having an animal around, so caring for other people’s pets feels like a wonderful way for me to still have that companionship while giving their families peace of mind. I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs because I cared for my own senior dog through lymphoma, heart disease, kidney disease, and seizures. I’m used to the extra attention, patience, and observation they may need, and I’m comfortable giving medications, injections, or medication with food when needed. Most of all, I truly enjoy caring for animals and getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I know how much pets mean to their families, so when I watch someone’s pet, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and at home, not like they are simply being boarded somewhere. I work from home three days a week, so I’m around the house most of the time. On the days I do go into work, my office is only about a 15 minute drive away and my schedule is flexible, so I can come home when needed. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and will do my best to keep the same feeding, potty, walking, and medication schedule they’re used to at home. I want your pet’s stay to feel as normal and comfortable as possible. Your dog will be welcomed into our family life and receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision throughout their stay. My home is best suited for dogs who are comfortable around children and other dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard, and all outdoor time is supervised. This is especially important for smaller dogs. We also have a swimming pool. I understand that some owners may be nervous about a pool, especially if their dog has never been around one before. We moved here two years ago, and my own dogs (6 and 14 pounds) have never fallen into the pool. As a parent, I understand how quickly accidents can happen, so supervision is something I take very seriously. During the winter, the pool is closed and covered. During the warmer months when the pool is open, dogs are never left outside unsupervised. Dogs are free to relax in our living spaces and become part of our daily routine. I carefully supervise introductions between dogs, always feed dogs separately, and provide quiet spaces for rest when needed. Resource guarding around food is common, and I make mealtimes stress free by allowing each dog to eat separately without interruption. I usually host dogs from up to two families at a time, so there may be other friendly dogs staying with us during your dog's visit. Because of this, my home is a great fit for dogs who enjoy a social environment and being part of family activities. If your dog is shy, prefers their own space, or would be more comfortable without other guest dogs present, please feel free to ask about exclusive boarding. Depending on availability, I may be able to accommodate one-on-one stays at an adjusted rate. During holidays or busy periods, I may occasionally welcome additional families if all dogs are compatible and can be safely cared for. My focus is always on maintaining a safe and positive environment for every dog in my care.

About: As experienced dog owners, we are familiar with periods of puppy & teenager, have expectations for accidents, demand of attentions and needs of releasing energy. We have two fixed male dogs & 3 cats at home. Dog is energetic and friendly. Cats are shy, they usually just stay away from dog(s).We have our family room cleared for dog to play, and a fenced backyard that allows dog to burn their energy anytime. We are looking forward to meeting and taking care of dogs&cats! Zhuoran is currently at home 24/7. All dogs are crate-free in family room unless there is behavior issue during the day, and all dogs stay in the bedroom with us at night. - Dog walking schedule: 6:30am, 11am, 3pm, 8pm, and before bed time. In weekends we take dogs to fully fenced dog parks for 30~60min. Schedules are adjustable as needed. I'm currently stay at home 24/7. We wake up 6:00am for the first walk, and a short walk every 3~5 hours. My working station is in the family room right next to dogs, so I can take care of the dogs quickly if anything happened. We have a cleared family room with a safe gate, the whole space is belong to the dogs. We also have a fully fenced backyard that allows dogs to burn their energy and enjoy the fresh air.

About: I’ve always loved animals, and loved a medium sized dog in my home growing up for about 9-10 years. Since having him I’ve pet sat for friends, family, family friends as requested. I’ve watched dogs overnight and for up to 9 or so consecutive months, and I’ve watched two cats for 3 months. I’ve helped my mom care for her pitbull puppy and her pointer. Any pet I watch I will love as if they were my own; and if I’m coming for an extended stay, I make sure the house is nice, clean, and smelling good so the owner can relax as much as possible coming home. Happy to do walks, feedings, extended stays, I’m not the most experienced in grooming but am willing to get the practice in if the trust is there. Let me know what you need and I’ll do what I can to support you and your fur baby🥰. I work a lot as an actor/performer, and am in between gigs. So my schedule is primarily dedicated to pet care outside of daily responsibilities When in my clients homes I stick to their rules with their pets. So if dogs on the bed/couch are a no, I’ll respect that. My goal is to make my clients animal as comfortable as possible. I even like seeing them sometime before the scheduled visit to see how our chemistry is, though I haven’t had had any bad visits. In my home I’ll care for them in the same fashion. “Donte boarded my senior German Shepherd for 5 days including Christmas Day. She was well cared for, receiving her medications twice a day to manage her hip arthritis and pain from IVDD. She came home rested and without any signs of over exertion, which can be difficult to manage while other dogs are boarded. My only concern was that I had become used to Rover hires providing a daily update; I had not explicitly asked for this and Donte sent one unprompted update (on Christmas), but he was very quick to respond when I reached out to check in on her. He also offered an important observation at pick up about the length of my dogs back toenails, indicating careful attention to the dog’s wellbeing.”

I have experience with providing walks, meals, and medications to puppies and senior dogs Currently a half-day Villanova senior, so I am around most afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends. After 2pm is ideal, with the exception of Wednesday nights I have a quiet, pet-safe apartment (no access to candles, flowers, sharp objects). I would be happy to set up a crate, food and water bowls, or pet beds.
