My husband and I wanted to go away for Valentine's day weekend to get some alone time and we have never been away from our Sheldon, who is a clumsy, gentle giant and lovable doberman pinscher puppy (1yr and 2months and 80lbs lol). My husband was thinking of boarding him at a kennel and I could not stand the thought of him being locked up in a cold pen like a wild caged animal. Honest to goodness (Rover did not pay me) I told my husband about this commercial I saw about people who offer dog services- Rover.com. My husband was skeptical and well, I thought it would be better than a cold pen, where he would pee and poop in his area and let out for so long per day. The site was easy to use and i knew what type of person i was looking for. I wanted my baby to be in a home where he would be loved as their own, warm, and in constant contact with humans (if you dont know anything about Dobermans, they are called velcro dogs because they are attached at your hip and have to be where ever you go). I looked and read Marie's profile and I just knew she was the ONE! Her family was awesome, they loved Sheldon and she gave us frequent updates of their adventures, runs, and how he he'd wind down at night and even included lots of pictures! We could tell he was having the time of his life! Marie and her family put our minds at ease knowing we left him in good hands. We could not be more grateful to have found them. Sheldon came home with a second family. We highly, HIGHLY recommend them! If they are in your area, she is the highest qualified dog sitter and we will be using her again in the future for Sheldon.”

They tried different approaches and truly cared about making sure he was happy and settled. They made Togo feel completely at home, which gave us so much peace of mind. Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay — Tim regularly shared updates and pictures, which meant a lot to us. Our flight was unexpectedly delayed, and they were kind enough to accommodate Togo for a couple of extra hours at the last minute without any hesitation. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is, my enthusiasm to get all of your animals outside having as much fun as we possibly can! I have been taking care of my own dogs for the past 4 years. Including giving medication, nail trimmings and everything else that comes along with being a pet parent! My husband and I found Grace because on the days my husband can’t come home during lunch, we didn’t want our puppy to be crated or left unattended all day. “If I could give Vu 10 Stars rating I would. For example, Vu was on his family vacation and I had sent him a text and right away he responded. Another example of Vu going beyond the scope of his job is that he came to pick up my dogs for a walk and noticed one of the dogs had vomited. Vu could've left the vomit there for me to clean up when I got home, but instead he cleaned up the mess and informed me. In addition, he has also pulled my garbage into the house. Being a single moms it's the little things Vu has done that has great tremendous help for me and my dogs. I can't speak highly enough of Vu. About: I have always loved dogs and started caring for my friends and family’s when I was 12! Since then, I’ve found myself watching multiple dogs, staying the week at the pet owner’s home, and routine check ins for walks, feeding, and to let out. I did job shadowing at a veterinary clinic for 8 hours which was such a great experience . I am comfortable with different breeds and sizes. I have the knowledge on certain breeds. My classroom had a program called Doggy Daycare where we made sure the dogs had their walks, bathroom breaks and playtime as well as have them properly fed while their parents were away. I know basic grooming techniques like for example: nail clipping, coat brushing, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning. I am also comfortable with administering vaccines and oral medication. I’m familiar with tick and flea medications. I am able to work with dogs that have special diets. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I can walk during the day and before and after work as well. I am able to housesit too because I can work from anywhere. I have two friendly dogs and we have an underground electric fence. We can take them out on leashes or if comfortable with the electric fence we use that as well.
About: When I was 8 my father surprised me with our first ever dog Harley! I fell in love instantly and am so grateful to have grown up with him in our family. When I grew older I took on more rolls taking care of Harley which gave me basic experience in pet care. When he was a senior dog I learned a lot through his medical issues like how to handle medicine and emergency vet visits. About: I am currently a college student at Lock Haven University and I am looking for a side job where I can earn extra money while doing something I love. I have had two dogs throughout my life, one small and one medium breed. I volunteered at a dog shelter for 8 months. I worked with a variety of different breeds, ages and sizes.
