About: In the past I have volunteered a Forever Paws Animal Shelter as a cat room specialist. My job was to complete health checks, socialize, feed, groom, and clean the cats, as well as maintain the cleanliness of the rooms they dwelled in. I actually met my cat there! Experience with diverse/exotic animal caretaking rolls, canine cpr certified, lots of experience with difficult dog breeds. My schedule with work is very flexible. Usually I tend to walk my dog for a 1-2 hours a day. It is extremely important that my dog Nala gets exercise each day to make sure she stays happy and healthy. Sometimes I also take my cat on the walks as well (he loves spending time outside with his sister with his harness and leash on!). Weekends have much more flexibility with my schedule. It is extremely important to make sure that any animal feels comfortable in their environment. Giving them the opportunity to take bathroom breaks and keeping pets on their normal schedule is very important. Giving pets access to fresh drinking water, specific foods, and medications as needed is also crucial. Providing proper exercise and mental enrichment only helps to further improve an animal’s experience in their surroundings as well.
About: I cat sit for my neighbor for long periods of time when she goes away. I’ve been an animal owner since the age of 3. Currently I’m in school for nursing but don’t have classes Monday and Wednesday as well as the weekend. Those days I’m hoping to spend time with pets.
