My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. About: I've been an animal lover my entire life and have years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I currently have a 7 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a 1.5 year old Pomsky, so I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs. Growing up my parents owned dogs of all sizes and personalities (Dalmatian, Akitas, border collie, and jack russel) I love the Lower Allen dog park and would gladly take any dogs there with permission! My previous rescue pit had an abusive past which sadly caused some behavioral issues. Due to that I am more than comfortable watching any dogs that may be a little rough around the edges. About: I have a wide variety of experience with all sorts of animals. I’ve had large and small dogs, cats, rodents, amphibians, and lizards, I even had a pot belly pig, sheep & duck as a child. I also volunteered at a local vet when I was a teenager and gained a lot of hands on experience caring for many types of animals! I’m a stay at home mom and I homeschool my two teenage daughters. They absolutely adore animals as well. I feel this will allow me to spend a lot of one on one time with your pet. Your fur baby will be well cared for and interacted with while they’re here! (Please note that Rover doesn’t consider my children’s ages to count towards, “children being present in our home.” However, I think this information should be available to those who choose to put their pets in my care. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space for your fur baby to run! I also have separate family room in my house where our dogs sleep at night, and that is where I would put crates if they need to be crated at any time.

About: My entire life pretty much I've grown up around animals! I've had different rodent, and currently have 2 cats. The last 10ish years my family and I have cat/dog sat for multiple family members and friends. The last year I've cat sat for my neighbor multiple times. As far as regular work goes, I'm only doing part-time due to the limit on how many hours are being given. I'm also not enrolled in school, so my schedule has more than enough time to fit in some extra pet care. I have experience with giving medication (mostly pills), so if your fur baby has meds that are needed to be given, I'm more than willing. Like a lot of animals, I enjoy basking in the sun. So, taking your animals on long walks isn't an issue either. Your animals needs are my priority.

I see them as family and friends, This means that daily routines such as feeding/watering, bathing, walking, playing, and administering medicine are not done as routines. I do them with as much intention and love as I can! I have cared for every sized dog, every cat personality, and farm animals. I am currently more available this summer: my main job is M-F, 9am - 1pm, meaning I can visit your pets 3 times a day as you need before and after those hours! While Rover's pricing is set up on a per dog fee schedule, I cap charges at $80 per night and $40 per drop in or walk, regardless of the number of pets in your household. In the Rover app, I must modify your booking to be able to do that. I work full-time 9:30am -6pm, Monday -Friday in York, Pa, so I limit my service area during the week to areas between York and New Oxford. I can serve a larger area such as Gettysburg and Dillsburg on weekends. I adhere carefully to client directions about medication, supervision, feeding, and exercise. I want dogs to keep their usual routine as much as possible, and owners to rest assured their treasured pets are cared for as they would. I am a background -checked government employee that prides myself on being dependable and trustworthy. I discuss my scheduling limitations with owners to ensure they are getting a sitter who is the best fit for their pets.

I’m currently a SAHM homeschooling my oldest and caring for my youngest. I enjoy animals of all kinds, they are my passion and would love to share that with others. Being a SAHM gives me more availability to do drop ins, walks, and care for critters. I have a fenced in yard, which is how I’ve always pottied my dogs, but I’m also happy to walk them on a leash, and have gone back and forth crating my own dog and am happy to do that as well.

Our dogs are completely happy with no problems while they were visiting Heather and Family. Heather is great at communication and gets back to you right away. We asked for pictures and Heather sent lots of pictures to comfort us knowing our girls were safe and well loved.”
“I am so very pleased with Cheryl and her furry family. Cheryl was very meticulous about assessing my dogs needs and care right from the start. My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. My dog was happy and stress free while in Cheryl's care and I will definitely be using her again! “Sam is such a wonderful dog lover and knew exactly what our dog Dublin is like and how to introduce him to other dogs. We didn't know this prior the drop off, but she had a few other dogs in different sizes, including her own dog, so it was wonderful for Dublin to be able to play with them and socialize. Her house has a huge fenced yard, surrounded by a woody area, which I think was perfect for Dublin. This is just a one-time boarding opportunity, as we were traveling through the area, but we'd certainly board our dog with ther again if we could.”
