I’m always around the area since I typically only go on vacation once a year. I work overnights but throughout the week my husband works from home as well so someone is always around to care for your dog. I cannot host cats in my home due to the prey drive of my husky, sometimes she’s ok with them, other times not. *I’ll do feedings for lizards as I have had a few bearded dragons myself as well so I’m knowledgeable here also. (But under no circumstances ask me to care for your snake, or your spider!) ***I offer potty breaks, walks, playtime, feed & water breaks, treat time, medication administration ALL in my standard fee. Anything else, just ask! I’m very flexible & willing to work out most things if we can come to an agreement suitable for both sides. About: As a nurse new to semiretirement, I am looking for some new furry friends to spend some time with. As a former dog momma to a golden retriever mix and a cockapoo, I have over 25 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages and phases of life. I am comfortable with puppies and senior dogs who may need medication or a little extra attention. I also have a 1 year old golden doodle grand puppy that I help take care of when needed. I would love the opportunity to get to know your furry family member. For me, dogs bring a unique kind of joy you just can’t find anywhere else. I am semiretired and have a lot of flexibility with my current schedule. I am available most days of the week between 9am and 3pm. When coming to see your pet or walk them, please let me know of any specific or special requests. I will follow your routine as instructed.
About: I graduated with a BS in animal science with a companion animal emphasis, obtaining knowledge/experiences through classes, labs, internships, and employment. I worked as a veterinary assistant and kennel tech throughout undergrad seasonally and for several months post-grad at 2 different clinics. I also worked as a wildlife rescue & rehab intern and aquarist intern during undergrad, focusing on animal care and husbandry. Lastly, I have owned/helped care for family pets almost my whole life (including rodents, rabbits, and a dog) and have pet sat dogs and cats for family friends/neighbors on the side. I am beginning a full time gig on July 13. I will not be working a typical 9-5, so my availability may vary week to week and we can discuss further details upon inquiry! I will not make myself available if the time allotted is not appropriate to truly care for your pet. I deeply care about animals and would love to do what I can, especially since I cannot have my family pup & chinchilla with me at school. I will surely abide by clients' wishes regarding their caretaking directions and preferences. I will also be mindful and respectful of being in another person's space, and clean up after myself and the fur babies.
About: I spent my life growing up in a household full of animals. From large dogs to small dogs, to kittens & cats, I will love & care for your furry family member as if they were my own. I also have experience in walking small & large dogs, as well as our fur-legged friends who may not have much experience on a leash! I currently work remotely from my home full-time. I am available to step away during the day and take your animal for potty breaks. If there were to be an emergency, I can do my best to show up for that as well! I currently do not offer the service of house-sitting in my own home… for your pets comfort and my own pets! If an emergency were to pop-up, or we establish a relation as pet-owner/pet, I would be happy to reconsider this on a case-to-case basis.
