“We’ve had Diane as our carer for our dog for over 6 months and she’s amazing in every way a sitter could be… and More!!! Anyone who choose her will be as blessed as us and will continue with her for sure. She loves our boy and cares for him as if he were her own. We will continue with her always! He’s made friends there and is happy there as soon as she sees Diane, so we all are pleased and it’s his vacation spot!!!”

“Danny was great. Kept me informed and sent pics of Finn. This was the first time I left Finn for such a long time, but I think I missed him more than he missed me. I will use Danny in the future to take care of Finn.”

“Sarah was absolutely fantastic!!! She took such great care of my Rosie and was so understanding of unexpected travel delays. Sarah sent me updates and pictures each day.”

“Tina is the best!! Luna loves staying with her. It gives us such peace of mind when we are away to know that she's being well taken care of. She is actually very spoiled. 🙂 we will definitely be booking again the next time we need someone to watch Luna. Thank you for loving her!! 🥰”

“Donna and Scott are AMAZING. We needed a last minute sitter and they welcomed our pup with open arms. Our dog is very nervous and barked when he arrived, but Donna and Scott knew exactly what to do to make him feel comfortable and at home. They sent multiple pictures of our dog at their house, and I had no doubt he was in the best hands. Thank you again for your flexibility, patience, and love for our dog!”

“Ashley did an awesome job accommodating a last minute boarding request. She sent lots of pictures and even took my pup swimming. Our pup came home happy and exhausted from so much playing!”

“Mady was great, Tanner loved her and his time spent with her. Lots of space for him to run around and do zoomies with her dog. We would recommend Mady for anyone looking for a boarder. Mady is our new #1.”

“We booked her at the last minute and she was very flexible and helpful! She and her family took really good care of our pup. We loved the photos that she sent us of our dog playing.”

“Melissa and her family were such a great place for Harper. She was able to spend time outside and off leash, as well as cozy up to the boys on the sofa - all of her favorite things.”

“I am so very pleased with Cheryl and her furry family. Cheryl was very meticulous about assessing my dogs needs and care right from the start. My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. My dog was happy and stress free while in Cheryl's care and I will definitely be using her again! If you're looking for a caretaker that will provide top notch care and treat your furry companion with the love and respect they deserve, then look no further and reach out to Cheryl.”

“Heather was wonderful! Abbie was well-cared for and very much at home with Heather and her daughter. Lots of fresh air and space on the property, plus other animals for Abbie to see- chickens, ducks, and kittens—she loved it! Heather was very responsive to texts and sent pictures of Abbie’s activities over the course of the weekend. I look forward to using Heather again and highly recommend her.”

“Jesse was wonderful is every aspect.. as we are driving down from CT, we had a few questions and she very prompt with her communication. She took care of Sufi very well and he was very happy when we picked him up.”

“Juliane was super sweet ! I felt 100% comfortable leaving my dog with her for the few nights I needed to. I asked to keep me updated with pictures and she did just that! Would 100% recommend and would book again if needed”

“Shaynna was awesome. She was willing to take Kelce on a last minute basis. She was also able to tell when Kelce was stressed and was able to give her the attention she needed. She gave updates and sent a picture. I will definitely book with Shaynna again when the time comes about.”

“My dog had a great time boarding with Satsuki! It was one of my longer trips so I was worried but all those worries went away quickly. Satsuki took great care of my dog and gave me regular updates including pictures - which I love! Would definitely rebook again”

“My sweet pittie is a snuggly love and is also quite strong, high energy, and reactive to other dogs. That said, it can be tough to find someone who is up to care for all parts of him. Kirsten and her husband were awesome with him! Kirsten was flexible with timing, receptive to his particulars, and provided daily updates with pictures. He looked right at home and at ease in her space.”

“Sam is such a wonderful dog lover and knew exactly what our dog Dublin is like and how to introduce him to other dogs. We didn't know this prior the drop off, but she had a few other dogs in different sizes, including her own dog, so it was wonderful for Dublin to be able to play with them and socialize. Her house has a huge fenced yard, surrounded by a woody area, which I think was perfect for Dublin. This is just a one-time boarding opportunity, as we were traveling through the area, but we'd certainly board our dog with ther again if we could.”

About: I have been providing consistent cat care for my Tabby Cat for 10 years! I understand that cats have an even wider range of moods and unique personalities than their canine counterparts. Their behavior can be a little trickier to read, but this doesn't stop me from providing felines with optimal care. In fact, understanding that cats and their needs can be different from dogs has taught me the importance of evaluating cat behavior and adjusting my caregiving approach accordingly.
“Danielle took excellent care of our little kitten Penny. We were nervous about leaving her alone, but Danielle eased our fears with constant communication, lots of photos, and flexibility. Penny was a little sick the day we left, so we were hoping to add another drop in visit and Danielle worked overtime to accommodate and make sure Penny was OK. Also, Penny can be a little skittish, but was so friendly and warmed up to Danielle instantly, she must be a good just of character! You’ll have to plan your vacations around mine, because we will definitely be using Danielle again.”

“We have an older dog who has anxiety being left alone so I’ve been looking for a doggy day care type of care for her when I can’t be home. The Rover app was recommended to us and we found Diana online who was highly rated. Wonderful experience and will book again. Thank you.”

“I was nervous because I've never used this app or left my dog with anyone. Charlie made me feel super comfortable. He showed me the space, showed that he had read her profile, and took such good care of her. She had ample space and friends to run and play with, but Charlie also gave her cuddles when she started to get anxious, which I truly appreciate.”

“Sam was great! Greeted us on arrival and Arthur immediately bonded with her. Sent us photos during the day and he had a relaxing day. We would definitely have her watch Arthur if we were in the Gettysburg area again. Thanks Sam!!”

“Ellen is great! She has a big heart and is an animal person through and through. We started out with a few boarding visits and now go to Ellen for day care every week. She’s very easy to work with and has a great location for dogs to run around/play/hike. Thanks Ellen!”

“Christa is wonderful! Kind and caring, her home is so warm and welcoming. Our dog Schatzi is older and needs some special care which Christa provides, she really goes above and beyond to make your pet comfortable. And also thank you for being available for a very last minute booking, very much appreciated ❤️”

“Tux has always been anxious when left behind, but did very well with Emily all day. She was very attentive to his needs and he got along well with her other daycare pup. She sent numerous pictures and answered my texts right away when I checked in on him. She asked permission to take him on a short ride in her car, which I granted since he loves car rides and hates being left behind. I will definitely book with her again. Thanks, Emily, for taking such great care of our boy.”

About: I have been around animals my whole life and truly think of them as family! I got my first dog at 5 years old and it was my job to take care of him everyday, give him baths, etc. I started watching other peoples animals when I was 14. I have done stop by walks/potty breaks since the very beginning and overnight stays since I was 18. I have experience with insulin shots, and other forms of medications. Pets are family members too, and they should be well taken care of! While you are away they will be loved and cared for as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friend! I have a full time job working as a realtor, so your furry best friend will have a constant companion staying with them! I work mainly off my laptop unless I have showings set up, so your best friend will get all the cuddles, and love they can possibly get! While I personally do not offer in house boarding- I do have people I can refer you to who are absolutely wonderful, and who my parents trust their fur babies with! . Ask me for their info! I work full time as a real estate agent, so most of my time in doing work from my laptop! There are occasional showings and meetings that I will attend, but they are not long- few hours at the max. Because of my flexible schedule I can make your fur babies feel loved and comfortable while you are gone! I do not currently accept home services in my own home. We have a cat who does not do well with other animals as she gets scared very easily. So, at this time, no home boarding will be offered. This will be updated if anything changes.
About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are supervised during outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and secure
“Pam was an awesome host! You can tell she loves dogs, our little dog Ninja fell in love with Pam right away. Ninja has never been left in any doggie day care or boarded before. We felt comfortable leaving our dog with her while we toured Gettysburg PA.”

“Kristy was awesome! I needed a sitter last minute for my 8 week old girl Eliza and Kristy took on the challenge. I will definitely be having her watch my sweet girl again. Highly recommend!”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Duffield

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens for many years. I have raised my own dog from early puppyhood to mature adulthood and her social but controlled behavior and level of training quickly caught the eye of other dog owners with young dogs. I had spent years researching dog and cat behavior, dog training, and everything related to dog breed history and care. This knowledge, along with my passion for animals, allowed me to offer services like dog training, walking, sitting, and drop-in visits with confidence and excitement even as a young teenager. This confidence and excitement along with my knowledge has only grown since then. I have experience with large breeds like Dobermans and Great Danes as well as smaller breeds like Cavaliers. Energetic breeds like Labradors and high-drive breeds like Coonhounds. When I provide you my services, its not just taking care of you and your pet(s) needs, its a reassuring peace of mind. It's a genuine relationship built on trust. Its a pleasant interaction between you and I and a lavish experience for your pet. It's knowing that I am not only making your pet's day but he/she is making mine as well. That's the difference between simply getting a job done and ensuring the care that's provided is at the next level. The level I'd want for my own sweet pets. I am currently in a season of life that allows me to be flexible and able to go the extra mile in providing the best service around! I just graduated high school and am taking a gap year. Even though I am working another job as well, now is a good opportunity to get involved in caring for your pet's various needs. I am a quick learner and am able to follow your instructions for how you prefer your pet to be cared for in your home. I can crate a dog if needed. I am able to fill your 30 minute time slot for drop-in visits with cuddles, playtime indoor and outdoor (whichever is preferred) and I understand that exercising your dog mentally is just as important as physically so I enjoy incorporating mentally stimulating factors into my visits. Training, finding treats, playing games etc.

About: I’ve had experience with Dogs and Cats basically my entire life, but took over caring for my childhood pets as they aged! Now I’m a pittie mom x2 with my boyfriend! I see my own as children and I dote on them and love them as such. Big or small, dogs or cats. I love them all.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. I do not have a fenced yard, but walk them on my private lane often, and take them to the dog park. About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years, starting in middle school and continuing through college and grad school. I have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and caring for both dogs and cats. While in school, I regularly pet sat for families in Pennsylvania and built lasting relationships through reliable, attentive care. I’ve worked with pets of all ages and sizes—including dogs with health issues who require medication, special routines, or extra attention. What sets me apart is my lifelong connection to animals. I grew up in a home with pets throughout my childhood—including 4 dogs (labs and pointers), 6 cats, and 10 bunnies—so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely love making animals feel safe, happy, and cared for. I recently started a full-time role, but the great news is I only work three days a week! That means I still have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends for drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. I'm happy to work with your schedule and provide consistent care for your pets while you're away or at work. Feel free to reach out with any questions or requests—I’d love to help! I take safety and trust seriously and always aim to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I care for pets in their own home to help maintain their routine and comfort, which I know is especially important for animals who may get anxious in unfamiliar environments. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it's feeding schedules, medication, walking routes, or playtime preferences—and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and happy while you're away. I treat every pet like my own and every home with the utmost respect, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. You can feel confident that your furry friend is in caring, trustworthy hands.
About: I have had a cat for 5 years and spent 3 years with my parents dogs. I understand the schedule that our furry friends need to maintain a healthy happy life. Monday to Thursday I'm available anytime to keep your animals entertained, safe, and cared for. When caring for clients pets I'm sure to follow their daily routine. “We are so incredibly grateful for the care Kathryn provides our babies. She is punctual and reliable and enables us to go to work without stressing over how our babies are doing at home. The pictures are like the cherry on top! 🥰”

About: I’ve dog sat for some families with 1 dog and others with multiple. I’ve taken care of a dog as young as a little puppy all the way to senior dog. I’ve taken care of dogs with special diets and that need medications. My family has relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. My schedule is currently free for the whole month of April. I’m normally around my friends and family dogs every weekend so I help taking care of them when I’m around. I care for my friends and families dogs by walking them or playing with them in their yard or house. I treat others pets just like my own. I love spending time with others pets and giving them attention.
About: I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have had multiple dogs in my home since I was young, and I love getting the opportunity to love on other people’s dogs. My dogs are spoiled rotten, and I will do the same for your dogs. I love getting details about your dogs and their likes/dislikes to tailor my care to each dog’s individual personality and needs. Please reach out to me for your every dog care need! I am available for all types of pet care, including bathing and medicine dosing. My yard has a high, secure fence for boarding. I am great at keeping you posted with plenty of dog pictures, updates on the dog’s mood, and eating/drinking/pottying. You won’t have to worry when I’m taking care of your dogs.
About: I have cared for pets my entire life. I had 3 dogs throughout school, and have assisted in training 5 dogs and 3 cats in my life (all of whom I love with my whole heart). I have also always been very good with new animals, and animals seem to like me (even when they "never like anybody"). I'm currently working part-time as I wait for my nursing program to start and figured I could make some extra money doing something I love to do anyways - hanging out with animals! I have enough space to play with your pet in my apartment and have a large, private yard. My yard is not fenced but I assure you I know how to hold a leash so that it cannot be pulled away and I have experience with strong dogs (I had a pit bull and 2 boxers growing up).
About: Although most of my experience lies in caregiving and sitting for equine/farm owners, I also have lots of experience taking care of household pets! I started letting out close friends/neighbors' dogs when I was about 10 and began staying overnights to take care of pets as soon as I had my license when I turned 16. I have more experience with larger dogs (Pitbulls, labs, Malinois, German Shepards) but have also taken care of some smaller dogs as well. Don't let me forget cats! I love sitting for households with a kitty! Nothing is more fun than playing with toys or even just laying around grooming and brushing a cat. A purr from your cat is one of my favorite sounds. There has never been a time I have not had a dog or cat in my household, currently, I have two German Shepards and two rescue kitties! I can do just about anything you and your pet need; walks, house sitting, baths, playtime, etc. I am currently home for the summer from college and will head back to college on August 27th. Since I just recently got home, I have not finalized my work schedule but I will post that as soon as possible. Anyways, I am a part-time employee so as long as your pet can be alone for a few hours at most my work schedule generally does not conflict with caring for your pet. As a competitive horseback rider, there are a few weekends that I have competitions during the day, but after assessing your pet's needs I can let you know if I am still available to help you and your pet with whatever you both need! Whenever house sitting, dog walking, potty breaks, or even playtime I always make sure to leave my client's home how I found it; clean and secure. I always make sure to follow instructions regarding the security of the home (for example what doors need to be locked/unlocked). I also always make sure the house is in the same condition as before I came as if I was never even there. I would never share keys, passcodes, etc with anyone because that would be a violation of my client's privacy and safety which I respect greatly. My main priority is to leave my clients smiling, and their pets purring or tails wagging!

About: **please note I have a day job that takes me away from my house M-F from 5:30am until 4:15pm…all boarded pets will be let out to potty immediately upon returning home ** I have been taken care of dogs for over 15 years. My first dog 2 when I adopted him and I cared for him until he crossed over the rainbow bridge when he passed at 10yrs old. I also raised two puppies from 8 weeks until they crossed over as well. I work full time away from home Monday thru Friday, so your pet would be alone for about 8hrs week days. I will make sure they are let out before I leave and let out again immediately once I return home. I am able to walk dogs / check in on family pets after 4:30pm on week days. I have a deck and a 6ft tall fenced in yard. I do not have small children in my home. I also do not have any other pets that may not get along with another dog. I will always care for your pet as if it were my own.
“Ellen was just wonderful and I know my dog was in good hands while we were gone. She got to run and play and hike on the farm and Ellen sent pictures and videos. Will absolutely use Ellen again to watch our Bella girl!”
