About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am available for early morning or evening walks and drop-ins during the week. I am available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday unless I have a family or social event. However, I am always open to working around my schedule and offering as much flexibility as I can - just shoot me a message! We have a large back porch and yard with a fenced area for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. About: I have experience in caring from all types of animals from hermit crabs, lizards and fish to cats, dogs rabbits horses and everything in between lol. So I can also provide care for other pets not listed here. My 12 year old daughter and I love animals and have been rescuing and rehoming animals for years. About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. About: I’ve had experience with Dogs and Cats basically my entire life, but took over caring for my childhood pets as they aged! Now I’m a pittie mom x2 with my boyfriend! I’m a college student currently, and work 3 days a week on breaks, so I have a pretty open schedule to fit various availability needs! To me, our pets are our family. I see my own as children and I dote on them and love them as such. Big or small, dogs or cats. I love them all.

About: Hello, I’m Kirsten. I have been actively dog sitting for the last 5 years in and around thurmont and the surrounding areas. (Mount airy, woodbine, Frederick, smithsburg, Hagerstown. etc) I do both overnights in your home and boarding opportunities in our home. I can work from home most days which allows a very flexible schedule. I am willing to accommodate for what ever needs are present and will make sure your pet is well taken care of. About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and my experience is mostly centered around dogs. At one point, I had five dogs of my own, but currently, I’m lucky to have two. While dogs are my main focus, I’ve also had the pleasure of caring for cats, horses, birds, reptiles, and smaller mammals like bunnies. While I can sometimes accommodate daytime requests, I generally prefer to schedule walks and visits after 4 p.m. once my workday is wrapped up. I’m happy to work with your pet’s schedule and provide them with the care and attention they deserve! When I take your dog on a walk or visit your pet, I treat them like they're my own. I make sure walks are fun and tailored to their energy level, whether it’s a relaxing stroll or a more energetic outing. I keep a close eye on them to ensure they’re comfortable and safe the entire time. During drop-ins, I’ll give them lots of love, playtime, and bathroom breaks, and make sure they have fresh water. About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am available for early morning or evening walks and drop-ins during the week. I am available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday unless I have a family or social event. However, I am always open to working around my schedule and offering as much flexibility as I can - just shoot me a message! We have a large back porch and yard with a fenced area for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!

We asked him to take Bristol for 30 minute walks each day and Matthew went above & beyond that request to make sure Bristol got sufficient exercise. About: I have a strong love for animals, and have grown up with many different species my whole life. I currently have 3 cats, but I love dogs as well and hope to get one of my own someday. I have worked at multiple doggie daycare/boarding facilities and have worked at a veterinary hospital for over 4 years. My goal is to become a veterinarian someday so I can continue helping animals lifelong. I have been dogsitting and dogwalking for years but I would like to expand into having more customers around my area. I am a very responsible caretaker and do the tasks I am asked to do readily and on time. I also love to take pictures of pets so you will get lots while you’re away (if you elect so). About: I grew up with cats, dogs and horses, and have been taking care of them since I was 10 years old. I have my own lab mix and a cat. I make sure that the animals I watch are well cared for, safe, fed, entertained, and exercised. I love all animals and really enjoy working with them. I am available anytime to watch pets in my home. I do work some evenings for up to 4 hours and weekends for up to 6 hours. At my home I have one dog and a cat that will be able to keep your pet company. My pets get along very well with other animals. I have a yard, a large field across the street, and a dog park near by I can take dogs to if allowed.
About: I have experience in caring from all types of animals from hermit crabs, lizards and fish to cats, dogs rabbits horses and everything in between lol. So I can also provide care for other pets not listed here. My 12 year old daughter and I love animals and have been rescuing and rehoming animals for years. We currently have a 7 year old golden retriever that we raised from 8 weeks old. And a 4 month old kitten we rescued and raised from 5 days old. Animals have full access to my house unless they have restrictions that would prevent that such as not allowed on furniture in clients home or eats things then they would for their safety be prevented from those areas. I am very respectful of others and following rules so if I would need to be in your home rest assured your home and fur baby would be in good hands.
