My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. “Sam is such a wonderful dog lover and knew exactly what our dog Dublin is like and how to introduce him to other dogs. We didn't know this prior the drop off, but she had a few other dogs in different sizes, including her own dog, so it was wonderful for Dublin to be able to play with them and socialize. Her house has a huge fenced yard, surrounded by a woody area, which I think was perfect for Dublin. This is just a one-time boarding opportunity, as we were traveling through the area, but we'd certainly board our dog with ther again if we could.”

About: I have a wide variety of experience with all sorts of animals. I’ve had large and small dogs, cats, rodents, amphibians, and lizards, I even had a pot belly pig, sheep & duck as a child. I also volunteered at a local vet when I was a teenager and gained a lot of hands on experience caring for many types of animals! I’m a stay at home mom and I homeschool my two teenage daughters. They absolutely adore animals as well. I feel this will allow me to spend a lot of one on one time with your pet. Your fur baby will be well cared for and interacted with while they’re here! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space for your fur baby to run! About: I have experience in caring from all types of animals from hermit crabs, lizards and fish to cats, dogs rabbits horses and everything in between lol. So I can also provide care for other pets not listed here. My 12 year old daughter and I love animals and have been rescuing and rehoming animals for years. About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I love animals and will do everything I can to make yours comfortable and happy. Work is currently slow, so I have the time to give your pets all the attention they need. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. I do not have a fenced yard, but walk them on my private lane often, and take them to the dog park. My pets get fed twice a day, but I can feed yours as often as you’d like - they also have some treat throughout the day.

I see them as family and friends, This means that daily routines such as feeding/watering, bathing, walking, playing, and administering medicine are not done as routines. I grew up in a home with pets throughout my childhood—including 4 dogs (labs and pointers), 6 cats, and 10 bunnies—so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely love making animals feel safe, happy, and cared for. I recently started a full-time role, but the great news is I only work three days a week! That means I still have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends for drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. About: I have experience working as a veterinary technician. This experience gives me the skillls to handle older pets, pets that need medications, and pets that have certain medical needs. I have about four years experience currently with pet sitting and have references if you would like them. Overall, I am pretty flexible with my schedule and am normally available on short notice. Depending on your preference I could take your dogs on walks around your neighborhood or take them to a local trail. It is completely up to you what you would like me to do with your pets. I also offer dog boarding and doggy day care. I do have pets if my own, but have the ability to keep them completely separate. I would love to watch your pets for you! I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time for your pets! This gives me the ability to let your pets out every 2-4 hours and make sure they get plenty of play time! I have a fenced in yard and they get a whole level of the house to themselves! I do have pets of my own, but have the ability to keep them separate if needed. They would get plenty of play time and I can walk them around the neighborhood too!

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was around 5. My brother was very active in the dog community and often took me with him. I took care of his Rotwilliers whenever he vacationed and had several dogs of my own. I have been a dog sitter for friends and family my whole life and have taken care of dogs for my nanny families in the past! I am currently a part-time nanny, but fit in dog care in my off time! I only work two full days a week, Monday and Thursday, so I have plenty of time for my puppy friends! I love to help out other dog parents and want to make dog care my full-time job. When caring for a dog in another home, I can easily follow instructions you leave for me. I can walk the dogs on a leash, take them to dog parks, or play with them in my own yard. If a dog has to come home with me, I have a large home with plenty of yard for them to run and play in. I have small crates at my own home if needed. I have experience with giving dogs medication due to my own senior dogs and my French bulldog who has had allergy issues.

About: I’ve helped care for pets of my own and my family since I can remember. I adopted 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own almost 8 years ago now. I absolutely adore my fur babies and helping others care for theirs brings me so much joy. I also have now taken on chickens and fish as well, so I have a variety of experience. I’m currently a SAHM homeschooling my oldest and caring for my youngest. I enjoy animals of all kinds, they are my passion and would love to share that with others. Being a SAHM gives me more availability to do drop ins, walks, and care for critters. They are given every ounce of love that I have, and every opportunity to do all the fun things that I would do with my own pets.! My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. “Sam is such a wonderful dog lover and knew exactly what our dog Dublin is like and how to introduce him to other dogs. We didn't know this prior the drop off, but she had a few other dogs in different sizes, including her own dog, so it was wonderful for Dublin to be able to play with them and socialize. Her house has a huge fenced yard, surrounded by a woody area, which I think was perfect for Dublin. This is just a one-time boarding opportunity, as we were traveling through the area, but we'd certainly board our dog with ther again if we could.”
