About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. About: Hi, I'm Suzie and I'll turn 62 this month... That is almost how long that I've been a pet owner from dogs, cats, horses, ponies, chickens cows, peacocks.. I'm also a Registered Nurse who worked critical care for 11 years and have been an RN for 35 years. I'm very comfortable with injections, and giving meds, assessing the animal and knowing when to call a vet. I have a Newfoundland here and a newfie/great dane cross, 3 house cats, and then the rest of the animals outside. The dog yard has a pet door that leads into a small area in my kitchen that is currently fenced off so no one gets free run of the house unless supervised. They can come and go back and forth as much as they want to. My back yard is lined with 4 board fencing that also has American wire in the inside to keep little ones in. I'm currently working flex at the hospital so I'm actually home almost all the time. I have a roommate that helps with the farm and the dogs when I'm not here. I'm a home body so I'm home here almost all the time. I have a 4 board fenced in yard that is also lined on the inside with American wire for my yard and have chains on the gates leading into and out of the yard. My fence is 5 ft high. There is a pet door leading into the kitchen which has a small fenced in area inside the kitchen so that the dogs can be contained just in case they are wet. I allow them into the house once they are dry.

About: I have watched dogs both at my home and at owners homes since I was 15. I love dogs and being able to provide care for them makes me very happy. I promise to take good care of every dog and tend to their every need I only leave my apartment for class which is an hour at a time. About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.
About: I've lived with pets all my life and while I’ve only had one human roommate in the last 30 years, I've always had a least one cat up until 2018. I LOVE cats (esp kittens), and am quite comfortable around dogs as well (I love them too, just not in all capitals, LOL). When I first started pet sitting, I thought I preferred cats to dogs, but the past few years have enabled me to expand in my love of, and comfort with dogs (but please don't tell the cats that)! I also used to 'lease' a horse in my youth and have experience with birds, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs. I DON'T like snakes or insects (sorry!) In the last 12 years I’ve volunteered with several rescues as a cat/kitten foster and I'm known to be particularly good with feral kittens and cats. I'm really good with walking (dogs mostly), dispensing medications, and loving attention, but I'm not a pushover when it comes to treats from the table (that's a no-no) staying on leash when required, and letting them know I mean business when necessary. I don't believe in EVER striking or punishing animals and seem to fall in love with them all. I’ve been a house and pet sitter on the site “Trusted Housesitters” since 2018 and have over 21 positive reviews there. I’m recently retired (yet surprisingly busy). I don’t do a lot of night driving, but am otherwise generally available. I’m a stickler about being on time, and keeping dates I commit to. My preference is for cats to remain indoors at all times at my house, and dogs always on a lead when outside. I have a variety of crate sizes here, and am totally comfortable with your fur kids riding in my car, lounging on my furniture, and/or sleeping in my bed. I have all wood floors, plenty of cat litter pans and bowls for food and water. My yard is not fenced but I have easy access to neighborhood parks.

About: I've walked dogs, as well as watched them while the owners were away since I was little. I don't currently own any larger animals, but I have always handled them. Any dog wouldn't be an issue I currently could fill pretty much any need! I have a few hours of every day that I am busy, but I can be available pretty much anytime! I have an unfenced in yard that I would keep the dog leashed within, but I also know many of the dog friendly hiking trails within the Altoona area. We have a guest house where I will board your pet, so no need to worry about any interaction with my current pets. I can take crate trained dogs anytime during the week but could only provide potty breaks every 6-8 hours. We have 300 acres to go for walks or chase balls! My husband and 9 cats live in the main house. Our cats don’t mind other animals but I can keep your pet away from the cats if you prefer.
