“Our Puppers just loved hanging out with Kathy! Tucker become her lap dog and Daisy made herself right at home in her well puppy proofed home. They loved their time outside with her and watching squirrels from her back patio window. We will definitely use her again next time we need a sitter!”

“Jaideep was amazing with my German shepherd, Moo! He sends multiple updates daily with pictures and it really put my mind at ease while I was away. He played with Moo in the backyard daily and ensured he was nice and tired when I picked him up :) I will definitely be reaching out to Jaideep for any future dog sitting needs.”

“De’Andra was very accommodating for me, as I booked her very last minute. She followed my instructions and advice with how to care for Lewy, and the process was easy. She and her husband were very attentive to Lewy and also remained in touch with me with updates and pictures throughout his stay. I will definitely use them again!”

“Vivian did a great job watching my dog! She gave very good updates throughout and it seemed like he had a blast with lots of time running around in her nice big yard. It is very clear Vivian loves animals and treats all the dogs she watches like they are her own.”

“Angel is a great dog sitter. Very kind, empathetic and trustworthy. My dogs are rarely away from home but they bonded with her and were able to relax and enjoy themselves while I was away. She was very consistent with getting them some exercise and maintaining a medication schedule for my boy with a touch of arthritis. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Sandra and Antione were great! Stella seemed happy when we picked her up. Sandro was great about sending regular updates and pictures. I would definitely use them again next time I am traveling out of the Harrisburg area.”

“Teresa has watched my baby boy Milo a couple times and this past time was much longer than others and let me say he did not want to leave her! She does an amazing job with communicating and sending pictures especially when I miss him too much! She has been such a great help! Looking forward to using her in the future.”
“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

“I recommend Desire for all of your pet boarding needs. My dog, Roscoe, was anxious, he had never been away from home before. Desire took him out for a walk immediately upon arrival and gave him a lot of individualized attention to help calm him. She sent daily updates, including photos and videos. I recommend her for any boarding needs that you might have.”

“Max is very excited to come stay with Rebecca. He always runs to greet her when we arrive. She is on point with sending us pictures of Max which is comforting when we are away from him. When I pick him up , he is happy and I can see he has been well cared for.”

“Tiffany was great!! She took Callum with just a few days notice. She had no problem with my special requirements for him. And she helped him feel right at home and took special care to introduce him to her cats. she sent me an update and photos a few times, which I really appreciated. We’ll definitely use Tiffany again!!”

“Very pleased with this boarding experience, 100% satisfied. Sowmya and her husband sent us lots of photos and videos, responded quickly whenever I had a question throughout the whole process. They took our dog for lots of walks and they have a nice property for dogs to enjoy. Highly recommend!”

“If you want your dog truly loved & cared for, BOOK Phillip & Maria!!! Bodhi had THE BEST TIME: walks, cuddles, new dog friends. We got a video every day & Maria replied within 10 minutes any time I messaged. I can't say enough good things-- we've had some sketchy Rover sitters and Phillip & Maria restored our faith. Our boy was with them 5 days, he ate well, and slept like a rock. 10/10 highly recommend and we will be booking with them again!!!”

“I cannot express my gratitude enough for the genuine care that Rosa and her daughters gave to my sweet Nyla. Rosa sent me pictures and videos the entire stay. She went above and beyond, by giving my Nyla a bath per request and administering her meds and special diet as carefully requested as well.”

“Goose was so happy after his overnight stay with Oleg! He was able to play and get lots of love at his house. Oleg was responsive and flexible with us to make it a pleasant experience for us just as much as it was for Goose!”

“Heather and her husband watched our pup for a long weekend and we couldn’t be more thankful to have found her! We don’t have any family nearby. She sent pics of him while we were away and he was very well cared for. Thank you Heather! <3”

“The kitties’ stay couldn’t have gone better. Chloe and Cooper were in good hands with Anton and his family. I received updates every evening complete with photos and a video. My Cooper even left Anton pet his belly, which was amazing 🤩. We would highly recommend Anton to anyone needing pet sitting.”

“Michelle is genuinely and totally awesome! She graciously agreed to board my Bear for over a month and care for him until I was able to rehome him. Please read through this review if you’re looking for a truly trustworthy, sincere, loving and caring dog-sitter... Upon our initial meet n’ greet Michelle was professional yet really down-to-earth which helped to make me feel like I was leaving Bear with a dear friend. Her love for dogs was obvious from the first meet. It was raining on the day we met and Michelle without hesitation sat on the ground to greet Bear and he took a liking to her immediately! Throughout Bear’s stay Michelle took Bear everywhere. He enjoyed his long walks in the park and trips to friends. Each time I visited I was excited to see how comfortable and relaxed Bear’s temperament was and how much he had grown. You’ll understand in the next few paragraphs.... I am so grateful for Michelle for many things yet, there are three things I’d like to mention here that meant the world to me which is why I would highly recommend anyone looking for a caring, loving, genuine, dog-mom to consider Michelle. Firstly, I informed Michelle early on that I hadn’t socialized Bear very much at all in the past. This was somewhat of a concern for me as I was rehoming Bear and having him feel more comfortable with strangers and other dogs would help him. Michelle willing and successfully socialized Bear with strangers and other dogs as well as provided me with regular updates on his progress. She’s done amazing work with Bear which I will be forever grateful for! And, Bear’s a happier dog because of it!!!! Secondly, having to rehome Bear was and is truly a difficult decision. Bear recently loss his dog companion brother of 7 years to cancer, separated from his dog-father and he had to relocate to another state. So Bear has experienced much loss and changes over the past few months. However, with Michelle boarding Bear until his adoption was complete helped to provide Bear with stability - one-loving-home-to-stay. She cared for his every need, played with him, kissed and hugged him, and really really spoiled him! :) Lastly, during the rehome process Michelle willing participated in the meet n’ greets and offered her experiences with Bear with potential adoptees. She both traveled and welcomed them into her home. Most, most. most importantly is how instrumental she was in helping me to get Bear adopted. She without my asking created amazing n’ adorable YouTube adoption videos of Bear for me to upload on Bear’s online adoption profiles. I also uploaded some of the pics she took of Bear during his stay. As of this review, Bear has an awesome new dog-mommy and I give much of the credit to Michelle, most definitely!!!! Michelle was-is a life-saver for both me and Bear. And, on top of everything I made a great friend....Thank you Michelle!!!!!”

“Tina was wonderful with our cat, Nala. Nala was very comfortable with her. We loved the pictures and Tina’s daily reports. We will definitely request Tina in the future!”

“Hanna did an excellent job stopping by my house each day to care for my two cats while I was away on a trip. She fed them, cleaned and filled their water bowls, cleaned the litter boxes, disposed of the litter in the garbage can outside, and paid special attention to them each day ❤️. It was awesome that she sent me photos and videos of her petting and playing with them! And it let me know that they were in good hands while I was away. I can’t express my gratitude enough. Thank you, Hanna!”

“Sadie was so wonderful! She made sure that our cat and her would get along before the check ins and sent wonderful updates while we were away. I felt extremely comfortable with her and so happy that our little girl was cared for by someone so kind.”

“Rebekah was great! She got my shy cats to come around. Sent me daily pictures and it made my day to see my kids lol were doing well. I highly recommend her services. I will in the future 😁”

“Natalie is fantastic! She stayed overnight at our house and did extra tasks she wasn’t asked to do as well. She was so kind and helpful with our cat and he had the best time with her. She provided great updates too - pictures showing how happy he was and how much fun they were having. We could not be happier with Natalie and would recommend her for any all types of visits.”

“Sarah is fantastic! Our cat really did well under her care, and we loved the check ins and photos that Sarah would take for us. Super responsible and responsive. We will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Becky was absolutely amazing while watching my cat, Gin, over the holidays. She was incredibly thorough and sent photos at every visit along with live updates while she was there, which made me feel completely at ease. Gin loves pets and snuggles, and it was so reassuring knowing my beautiful boy was getting plenty of attention and affection. He was feeling a bit anxious and chewing on things, and Becky was extremely flexible—we were able to add extra visits on the spot without any issues. She met all of my needs and handled everything with care and professionalism. There’s absolutely no question about her capabilities, and I would 100% trust and recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, attentive sitter.”

“Beth was amazing and took such good care of our cat!! She was very understanding with a communication error in the beginning, and spent a lot of time playing with our cat who can be shy at first but warmed right up to her! We will definitely be using her again- thanks Beth!”

“Sydney took great care of our kitties while we were away! Our cats can be particular with their people, so it was great to hear the updates and see the photos of our cats and Sydney getting along. They were absolutely well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since as early as I can remember. Honestly I get along with animals better then people! We've always had a dog and more recently cats. My in-laws ask for my help when they take a trip and I am always happy to help! Currently I am caring for my kids during most of the day but I am open on evenings and weekends as needed! I'll try to fit anything in that I can! I'll always greet the animals first and make sure they are comfortable with me. Then I check for water and food. Once I make sure those are good we are off for play time or walk time!

“Barbara was wonderful! I've never left my cats before but we had to put my uncle to rest in another State. Barbara is the car whisperer, my cats especially Bob took an instant liking to her. She has experience with both dogs and cats. I won't hesitate again to go out of town, I feel completely comfortable with Barbara caring for my 2 cats. Denise Flathers”

“Victoria is excellent! It was the first time I needed to leave my cat at home and I was nervous about finding the right support. Victoria provided me with clarity, daily updates, commitment, friendship and kindness. Sakura (my cat) was in good hands, thanks to Victoria!”

“Samantha did a fantastic job of taking care of my "pack" of huskies! She is very comfortable with dogs of all sizes, and knows how to handle their different personality quirks and behaviors. She is reliable and caring.”

Will be using Jaideep in the future!!”

“Rosa and her daughters took very good care of our puppy, Rosie during our stay in the Harrisburg area when we took a day trip to Hershey Park. She was very good at communicating to us throughout the day by sending lots of photos and videos of our pup! 10/10 recommend and will 100% use again whenever I am in the area and need a dog sitter. Thank you again for everything, we appreciate you and your care greatly!! Happy 4th of July!”

“Zuri had a wonderful time with Kayla! She sent lots of pictures and followed our instructions for the day. I will definitely be booking her again next time we need someone to take care of our pup.”

About: Hi! I have 5 dogs and 4 parakeets myself, I love to craft or just binge watch movies. I’m currently in college, I’ve always loved animals and I lost my job in March, I’m just trying to find better things for myself. Reach out anytime ☺️ I have open availability so pretty much let me know what you’re looking for, if you want me to just stay at yours or even if you just want me to pop in and out from time to time! I have a fenced yard so I’m always watching my dogs, I sit outside with them and just watch them play. I also take them on walks when my parents are able to help since we have alot
About: 6/2026 UPDATE: After a long hiatus, I am back to dog sitting. It's a long story but my house burned down and it took years to get back into, a car accident, etc. However, I would like to start sitting other dogs again. I have my own dog, a bullmastiff named Bodi, who turned a year old in May 2026. He's 130+ lbs so far. He's a big big baby. He's very well socialized and goes to the dog park frequently, doesn't guard resources, and loves smaller dogs too. He is very gentle with them. Bodi is not neutered so no females in heat. My mother lives with me and she has a household cat. So, while it's ok for dogs to chase a cat, the cat is dog savvy, I cannot watch any dogs that would wish to do actual harm to the cat. I am especially doing this right now so my dog remains accustomed to new dogs entering his home and welcoming them. I'm home all the time so my schedule is open. My mother also lives with me and she is here all the time as well. I have a small fenced yard. I usually take my dog to the dog park or for a walk, or he has a playdate with the neighbor dog. So, while watching your dog, I would take him/her to the dog Park if that's ok with you, or take them for a walk. I do have a hip issue so I can't promise a lengthy walk every single day no matter what, simply because I do have hip issues. However, i would be able to throw a stick around, etc, to ensure your dog gets enough exercise. My dog Bodi is allowed on the furniture and in my bed and your dog would also be welcome to do so. I do give my dog people food treats. If you do not allow people food, please just let me know and I'll respect your wishes. The last thing I want to say is that my dog is my first priority, being that I'm only willing to watch dogs that get along well with my dog. So, I cannot promise any bookings without meeting you and your dog beforehand. I want dog sitting to be a positive experience for him and I do not want Bodi to be uncomfortable in his own home. 8/23/2019 UPDATE: My dog, Stella, passed away in March from osteosarcoma; but, I can't bring myself to remove her info from my profile yet. So, I'm adding this info as an update. Although I don't think I'm ready to get a new dog myself yet--because I still feel as though getting another dog would be trying to replace the irreplaceable-- I feel ok when around other people's dogs & feel as though I am ready to watch dogs again. In fact, being around dogs more, again, may be exactly what I need first, before getting another dog. All of that being said- despite my profile information & posted pictures, I do not have any dogs in my home so I would be able to watch dogs who may not be good with other dogs. I can watch more than 1 dog at a time, provided they are from the same household; but, I generally don't accept dogs from more than one household at a time. I set that rule/limit because I also had my own dog, so I may be willing to watch two dogs from different households...but, I wouldn't watch another dog from another household unless I had permission from both owners (first & foremost). Furthermore, I still would probably only do so only if I was already familiar with both dogs and/or felt very, very confident that neither dog's presence would negatively effect the other dog's experience. As a final note to owners of multiple dogs: Apparently, my thinking and experience(s) are contrary to Rover and or other Rover sitters in regards to watching two dogs from the same household. In my experience, whenever I have watched more than one dog from the same household, they have been easier to care for, and seem more calm and content. Therefore, instead of charging more for the second dog, my charge is $20 for the second dog. Additionally- I'm not sure what exactly my rate is for extended stays, based on my experience(s), extended-stays become easier and less time-intensive the longer the dog stays. As an example, I never expect to sleep much on the first night a dog stays over, simply because even when they're calm, they tend to wake up more often & obviously feel the need to go outside upon wakening. (However, being able to sleep through the night is an added bonus). So, I am willing to adjust my fees for well-behaved dogs staying longer than 3-4 nights. If and whenever that is the case, feel free to ask me about it, if I don't bring it up myself, during the meet n greet, asked prior to booking anything through the site. ___________________________________________________ Hi! I'm a dog person. As a kid, I grew up in a household with many dogs always coming and going so I am very comfortable with dogs. That being said, large and giant breed dogs hold a special place in my heart, and are my favorite. I am a college-educated professional and very trustworthy, and would be happy to meet in advance of taking care of your dog, in order to ease any concerns you may have about leaving a dog with a stranger. And, I could tell you more about myself over the phone, or in person. I also recognize I am new to Rover, and don't or probably won't have have any reviews or customers for a while, so if there's something I can say or do to ease any concerns you may have, feel free to let me know. I have one pet in my home, an 8-year-old female Bullmastiff named Stella, who is very, very laid back. Although I've known Stella her entire life, she came to live with me during the summer of 2017. She always lived with both male and female dogs of all sizes, and in a household with children, and has never displayed any behavioral issues or aggressive behavior. I think Stella gets a little lonely sometimes so she welcomes canine company. Every once in a while & depending on the personalities involved, the most 'aggression' Stella has ever displayed is a warning growl/light snap if she's eating a bully stick (her favorite), or when lying down in her spot on the sofa. It's an appropriate-level response & not aggressive. Actually, I think the only time she's ever even reacted like that, in any way, has been with dogs of her size or larger/taller than her. Even though I love the large dogs- I think Stella prefers dogs smaller than her. She seems to especially love dogs who nag her to play by running & jumping on and around her. Basically, I think she typically requires that the other dog motivate her to play ? (I think she also likes that she can play with the little dogs without having to do much of the running herself!) All in all, I think there's just a certain instant chemistry between certain dogs that make them immediate friends & good playmates. And, the reason I signed up on Rover is for Stella to have an occasional in-home playmate; however, Stella needs to feel comfortable in her own home, which is my first and foremost priority. Regarding house rules and what your pet may be accustomed to, I will adhere to any rules you set for your dog. Stella is allowed on the bed, and has a designated spot on the sofa. Your dog would be welcome on my furniture, if your dog is accustomed to that. However, I also have two ultra-comfortable dog beds (dimensions of each, 36"x 52"). I have exchanged dog-sitting favors with friends and neighbors and watched other dogs in my home for many years, but do not have any prior "professional" dog-sitting experience. MY HOME'S LAYOUT/SENIOR DOGS For anyone with senior dogs, my home is less than ideal, but can also be manageable for senior dogs. My home has a small fenced rear yard, but is a two-story home with the bedrooms located upstairs. There are also approximately 6-8 steps leading to the fenced yard. If your dog has a problem with the steps leading to the yard, I would be willing & able to walk the dog around the house to/from the yard without encountering the steps. I have hardwood flooring throughout my entire home (as well as ceramic and/or porcelain tile in the bathrooms). The stairs are hardwood floor treads with carpeted treads secured on top of the step. Although my stairs are certainly not the steepest stairs I've ever seen in an old home, they're still a bit more narrow and or steep than would be found in a newer home. Overall, my home may not be the best option for some senior dogs, but steps can be avoided as long as the dog is not accustomed to sleeping in the bedroom at night. That being said- I actually slept downstairs on my living room sofa (which has since been replaced) for 4-5 years when my previous dog was no longer able to climb the stairs. So, I'd probably sleep downstairs if I was watching a dog who couldn't climb the steps. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P. S. There is a question or checkmark on my Rover profile for me to answer as to whether anyone smokes in the home. The question is a little but unclear, and I marked mine as no smoking in the home. So, I would like to clarify that I am a smoker, but I don't smoke in my home. I'm currently home all the time so I have lots of time to give love and attention. My mother also lives with me so there's two people to get attention from. I have a small fenced in yard, but frequently take my dog for a walk or the dog park, or at least somewhere to get them out of the house on a rainy day (i.e. Bass Pro Shops)

I’ve worked with animals with behavior and health issues. I very big animal lover and will treat your pets as if they were my own. I’m recently retired. “Dan and his wife were excellent doggy hosts. They made drop-off and pickup quick and simple. They gave picture updates and were great with communicating. I also loved that my spoiled dog had a couch to nap on. I will book again.”

“Molly took amazing care of my Dallas and always sent me pics to update me on how he was doing! He is a puppy, so she did an amazing job at handling his energy well :) would 10/10 recommend booking her to watch your pup!”
About: Hi! My name is Kristen and I've been a true animal lover my whole life. I've grown up having animals and I have a deep love for anything furry. I'm a happily married, stay at home mom to a toddler. We recently lost our special needs senior pup of 14 years. We miss him so very much. He was my everything. I truly understand loving your pet like a child and will treat them as such. I have 7 years of experience in veterinary medicine and know how to handle most pet emergencies calmly. References are available. I am looking to start pet care full time, as animals are my passion. I have open availability but can only work with dogs, as I'm allergic to cats. I can do walks, playtime, overnight boarding in my home, or day care. Senior pets are my specialty! I am looking to transition into full time pet care, as I now have the time as a stay at home mom! I am able to provide walks several times a day, and all day attention & love. We live in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, where I can walk your pet several times a day. Our senior dog recently passed away and we miss having a pet in the home tremendously, but we aren’t ready to welcome a new personal pet just yet. Animals are welcome to sleep on furniture in my home and cuddle like I would my own animal. My home is their home while they’re with us. We have a 14 month old son, so your pet needs to be comfortable around children. He is good about not touching, but he is a typical toddler and makes noise throughout the day.
“We are new to the area and this is the first time we have used Anton. My dog Lancelot enjoyed his visit and received a warm welcome and he felt relaxed upon the meet and greet. Right from the start he made Lancelot feel comfortable and he felt right at home. Anton is very responsive and kind and he sends updates with photos. Knowing your pet is cared for makes me enjoy my time away even more! I have already booked another visit with Anton. Thank you Anton!”

“Danette was such a sweetheart and took care of my Dexter last minute when we decided to take a last minute trip to Hershey Park. She is so knowledgeable and patient and treated Dexter like one of her own. Dexter came home worn out from a long day of play which is just what he needed to get his mind off of his “pawrents” being gone for the day. If we lived in the area, I would use her every time!”

“I was so nervous hiring someone I didn’t know to take care of my pup but Sadie quickly put my mind at ease! She made the effort to meet us ahead of time which meant a lot since I was on the road for work and she was coming to my hotel to take Peps out each day. I could tell from all the cute pics she sent of Peps in the room that my super shy girl had really warmed up to Sadie. Thanks for taking such great care of my girl.”

“Ella was reliable and on time. She communicated in a timely manner and she did wonderful on the walk with my pups. The one has anxiety so he only walks so far down the street. So she walked them a few times and even gave me feedback on if they did #1 or 2. I will hire her again in the future.”

About: I will probably remember your dogs name before I remember yours. I love animals and I have 2 German Shepherd Labradoodles who are high energy and extra clingy. I know how to take care of dogs and understand their needs for exercise. Currently I am an educator for High School students looking for summer work. I want to be able to be flexible to still spend time with my puppers and take care of yours. My dogs are crate trained and can be left without destroying things. They are exercised daily as well as keeping them up on their medications and probiptics. My one dog has issues with his hips so we get that checked frequently with the Veterinarians.

“Our Puppers just loved hanging out with Kathy! Tucker become her lap dog and Daisy made herself right at home in her well puppy proofed home. They loved their time outside with her and watching squirrels from her back patio window. We will definitely use her again next time we need a sitter!”

“Sandra and Antione were great! Stella seemed happy when we picked her up. Sandro was great about sending regular updates and pictures. I would definitely use them again next time I am traveling out of the Harrisburg area.”

“Goose was so happy after his overnight stay with Oleg! He was able to play and get lots of love at his house. Oleg was responsive and flexible with us to make it a pleasant experience for us just as much as it was for Goose!”

“Kayla is awesome! My dog always has a great time and we always get a lot of pictures and updates from Kayla. She is a great communicator and we always feel confident when we leave Zuri with her. We have used Kayla several times and we will continue to book with her in the future.”

“Steffany was so incredibly welcoming of myself and Tito. During our meet and greet, Tito got to meet their dog Padme and seemed to get along very well with her. Steffany said Tito had a really nice time playing with Padme and her son and enjoyed his stay. When he got home he took a long nap, so I have no doubt he was tired from a fun weekend. I will be using them again for future trips this year, thank you again!”

“Heather did such an amazing job watching our two dogs! Our little dog has a couple of behavior issues and Heather was beyond willing to work with her on those and make her feel at-home. I am extremely attached to my dogs but we had to leave them to get married. Heather made this process super smooth by sending daily updates and photos. I can’t thank her enough for giving my babies an amazing home for the week and giving me the peace of mind to have an amazing wedding.”

“Maria and her family were absolutely wonderful in taking care of Snoopy, while I was traveling. Maria is incredibly responsive and responsible, always keeping me updated and making sure Snoopy was comfortable and well taken care of. Her kindness and genuine care for animals truly stood out, and it was clear that Snoopy felt at home with her and her family. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

“Pam and Michael were wonderful! They are clearly animal lovers and I trust they took care of our dog as their own. They sent lots of pictures and videos while we were gone. Our dog came home tired from playing and very happy.”

“Letisia took great care of our two dogs while we were away for the weekend. When she noticed a cut on one of our pups she communicated everything immediately and offered to reach out to our vet. We are extremely appreciative of her attentiveness and care and would highly recommend her!”

“Sarah cared for our labradoodle and we would definitely recommend her! She communicated regularly, sent pictures and updates, ensured our pets were compatible before booking, and made us feel very comfortable that our girl was in great hands.”

“Jamie was excellent! My dog teddy had such a blast and was very well cared for during the weekend that I was a way. She sent tons of photos showing my boy having a great time. Definitely recommend Jamie and I plan on using her in the future to watch my dog! A++”

“Victoria was amazing! She cared for our dog Chloe with so much love, as if she were her own. She’s kind, responsible, and truly loves animals. Our whole family is beyond grateful — Chloe was happy, safe, and so well looked after. We highly recommend her!”

“Alexandra and Robert did a great job with my dog, Baxter! He is a German shorthaired pointer and has a ton of energy. he had plenty of safe space to run and let all that energy out. He sent photos daily and told us how he was doing. He seemed very happy and would love to stay there again in the future. I will have Baxter stay with them again and highly recommend them to anyone!”
