“We never had Scout stay in someone’s home before. Vivian’s reviews were outstanding, so we decided to give it a try. She asked us to come over for a visit before boarding. That visit calmed all our worries. Vivian and her family were so attentive to Scout and it was apparent that they were very loving and knowledgeable. When we dropped him off for his “vacation” she quickly escorted him to yard to allow him to get acclimated, while her husband helped us with Scout’s belongings. During the vacation, we received pictures two or three times a day. It was apparent that he was enjoying his stay. I am sure he especially enjoyed the walks and the trips in the car. When we have picked him up from boarding kennels before, he would not leave our side. When we picked him up from Vivian’s, he spent time jumping all over us and then bounced back and forth between her family and our family. It was obvious how much he loved them. We will definitely be scheduling more vacations with Vivian in the future. She and her family have given us peace of mind that we never had with anyone else taking care of Scout. About: I truly enjoy getting to know each individual dog's personality and tailoring my response to match. My family always had a dog growing up. Though I am not a "dog trainer" my dogs have always been taught basic commands and learned to reliably respond, for their safety. Lots of treats. I am retired, so I (and my husband) are normally home except for brief errands. My dog and I take about a mile walk twice a day through the woods. Your dog would get frequent leash walks, and whatever playtime they wanted. And of course lots of hugs. :) We have a large back yard bordering on a wooded area for frequently leash walking your dog. Additionally we have a small (20' x 14') fenced area for some off leash play time. Our dog enjoys other dogs and our cat thinks he is a dog. Our pets are allowed on furniture, but of course we would reinforce your rules if they differ. We will play games in the house and lots of attention will be given.

I am comfortable administering any medication as well as taking long walks or playing to wear down the youngest. I work from home as a supervisor so I have the ability to come and go as I please. My son is engaged in some activities which may be the only reason for a turn down of service but my availability is pretty open. All of my animals in my home are well versed with this of the other kind. All of my animals are very dog/people friendly. We also have 4 cats so The dogs are well rounded and the cats are as well. If need be I do have the ability to separate any of them.

While dog sitting at your home, I'll also tend to any messes that are made, bring your newspapers/packages/mail, and give you thorough daily updates of what's going on around the home. I can work with dogs that pull. I prefer to use a waist leash (I have my own) while walking dogs since it allows me to be hands free and have more control with your pet. Of course, if you prefer your pet's own leash, that's fine too. :) I am self-employed so I am able to make my own schedule for work days and hours. If extended stays or additional pets need longer periods of care, I can adjust to these changes.
