I have experience looking after pets of friends and family while they're out of the house for the past 5 years. I have a great deal of patience in training and caring for animals. I'm currently available on weekends, with Fridays most preferred. I work fulltime Monday through Thursday so at the moment those days are going to remain unavailable. I believe respect for animals, owners, and their environment to be super important. I adhere to any rules and guidelines when entering a client's home and I work to provide my client's pet with my utmost attention and full energy. I am down for taking pets on walks, playing with them till they wear themselves out, feeding and cleaning up after them, and anything else they might need.

About: I have been taking care of our dogs since I was little. I love helping out friends and neighbors with their pets when they are out of town! I am currently working as a part time intern only 20 hours a week, so I have plenty of time to play with and take care of your pets! I take care of my pets at home all the time. I feed them, take them outside to play, and take them on walks when possible. I am fully capable of anything you need me to do for your pets!
About: I graduated with a BS in animal science with a companion animal emphasis, obtaining knowledge/experiences through classes, labs, internships, and employment. I worked as a veterinary assistant and kennel tech throughout undergrad seasonally and for several months post-grad at 2 different clinics. I also worked as a wildlife rescue & rehab intern and aquarist intern during undergrad, focusing on animal care and husbandry. Lastly, I have owned/helped care for family pets almost my whole life (including rodents, rabbits, and a dog) and have pet sat dogs and cats for family friends/neighbors on the side. I am beginning a full time gig on July 13. I will not be working a typical 9-5, so my availability may vary week to week and we can discuss further details upon inquiry! I will not make myself available if the time allotted is not appropriate to truly care for your pet. I deeply care about animals and would love to do what I can, especially since I cannot have my family pup & chinchilla with me at school. I will surely abide by clients' wishes regarding their caretaking directions and preferences. I will also be mindful and respectful of being in another person's space, and clean up after myself and the fur babies.

They took him for walks every day, kept up with his usual routine, and even let him sleep in bed with them, which he absolutely loves! Adisyn kept us updated throughout our entire trip with plenty of pictures and videos, and she was always available whenever we needed her. This was Sunny’s first time staying in someone else’s home, so we were a little nervous about how he would adjust, but they made him feel completely comfortable and at home. “Shannon was very kind and accommodating. Shannon and her husband seem to really love animals and have a passion for taking care of them. Scarlet warmed up to them very quickly and came back the same happy dog she was when I left her. Shannon even went the extra mile for me, I had to pick up Scarlet early from her stay and Shannon exceeded in making it easy for me. She even went so far as to change the stay dates with Rover so I wouldn't be charged for the extra nights I booked. Great sitter and I would highly recommend her!”

About: I have owned my own dog for the past 15 years. Experienced with difficult eaters, medication needs, walking, playing etc. Experienced with dogs who don’t like other dogs. Currently at home most of the day most days. Will spend a lot of quality time with your pet. I’ll cater to how your pet wants to spend their time: cuddling, playing, walks, napping.
