About: I have owned, trained and cared for dogs, cats and horses over the last 17 years. I also work with a dog rescue organization in the area and have fostered over 40 dogs in the last 3 years. As an avid animal lover I understand the significant impact that owning animals has on our ability to travel and relax when away. I want to provide people the opportunity to travel care-free while their dogs enjoy the best care being boarded in my home. I have a very dog-friendly house with a fully secure fenced in yard. I work from home so dogs receive attention all day and night and get lots of playtime. Dogs boarded here will get free roam of the house but can also have and use a crate at the owner’s request. I am able to feed special diets and give medication as needed. If your dog stays here they will be welcomed into my house as if they were one of my own. Dogs that come here should be friendly with both male and female dogs. There are no cats in the home. I am also available for lunch time, evening and weekend dog walking. “I have really enjoyed having Shanon coming to walk my big boy. My big boy is a rescue and is not great with new people. At 140 pounds he can be very intimidating to others. We need someone to watch our dogs for a long trip this year which will require work and time to build a relationship. Shanon is very intuitive to my dogs need to build a relationship slowly. She doesn't react to him the way most would and genuinely takes clues from him. Ive been so worried to try and have him build a relationship with someone and I dont think I could have gotten anyone better. She does rush him or force him to be near her and he is very quickly getting comfortable with her which is something I wasnt expecting to happen so soon. I can not rave enough about her natural intuition and willingness to work with us, its been a perfect fit and I know our dogs will be just fine with her for an extended period of time in a few months!”

About: Life long animal lover I've taken care of many different kinds of pets! I had a frog growing up, fish, cats, dogs, and I've helped pet sit numerous times for a friend for his goat, chickens, turtle, geese, turkeys, ducks, and dogs (puppies, adult dogs and a senior dog with medications who needed extra tlc). I also work here and there at a local horse farm feeding and cleaning stalls as well as turning 45+ horses out to pasture. I'm used to handling strong pulling animals (I like to think being able to handle an antsy 1200+ lb animal prepares me for most anything haha), and my own strong pulling dog so I'm well versed to handling eager dogs on walks. I've been able to administer medications to senior dogs, my own dog needed 5 different medicines for a few weeks during heartworm treatment and my cat currently is transitioning to a prescription urinary diet so I know a few tricks to getting medicine to them as well as doling out special meals. I'm currently switching to working 2 part time jobs 7 days a week to only working 1 of those jobs maybe 2-3 days a week so I'm looking to fill my time with taking care of your furry best friends and probably working more at the horse farm too. My schedule for work is made at least a month in advance and I don't work weekends since I work for a dental office so I have some free time to do this now. Looking to walk your dog, drop in on your cats/dogs while you're away and maybe open to short overnight stays in your home if I can arrange for my own doggie to be taken care of because he gets really lonely and upset if I'm not home at night, otherwise I'd have it on my profile that I was available for that too. I will follow your every instruction and request for taking care of your pet in your home, I can crate you dog and handle letting them out, making sure they don't get off leash or out of your fenced in yard and make sure your cat doesn't slip out the doorway when I come in. I have some sneaky pets myself sometimes and I feel I've become a master at outsmarting even the sneakiest pet. I'll make sure your pets have plenty of fresh water, the right amount of food, nothing is left out for them to get into or chew up, and cleaned litterboxes! I believe in treating your pet like my own and providing the utmost care and respect for both them and your home.
About: I've had a dog for 2 years. Worked with a trainer and taught her commands. Looking to help others with simple tasks such as walking, feeding, and playing. Currently work weekends as an RN. Open to big dogs/ reactivity/ pulling (taught leash manners to a 80lb Pitbull 😂). Experience with most training/ e-collars and harnesses/ leashes I am available 3-4 days a week, anytime of day for drop in visits and or walks. Also occasionally after 8pm drop in visits 7 days a week I am open to whatever is your pups preference and owners boundaries! My dog is crate trained (her comfort) but has free range of the house and furniture
