About: I grew up surrounded by kittens and cats! My grandma and mom were crazy cat ladies lol. I have a Siamese cat named Mochi! I rescued him as a kitten. He was found in a trash can covered in fleas, worms, and could barely keep his eyes open from excessive mucus. I spent every 5 minutes cleaning his eyes, treated his fleas/worms, showed him love, and trained him. He’s now an indoor kitty and he will be loved for the rest of his life! “If I could give 10 stars I would. I’m new to the area and having an anxious dog going through some major changes has been challenging. The first night Mickenzie came over to let him out, Beanie wouldn’t let her touch him and growled the whole time. He wouldn’t even eat a treat that she left in front of him on the couch! Mickenzie was gentle, patient, and communicative through the entire process. The following day she agreed to come out on her own time to meet beanie with me and let him get more acquainted in a safe space with mom. She was kind and understanding even as he barked and growled at her throughout the visit. That night she came back to try again. She took her time, was able to connect, Beanie let her pet him, pick him up, and put a harness on. She was able to let him out to the bathroom and get him back in without any issue other than the time and patience it took from her. Mickenzie is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend her especially for those who are anxious leaving their babies in the care of someone they don’t know. I’m so grateful and will continue to use her as often as possible. About: Hello! I am an experienced dog trainer and currently own my own dog training business. I’m a force free, fear free dog trainer, and have over 500 hours of behavior modification experience. I can take anything from the most friendly puppy to a fearful pup who needs time and care to adjust. I’m certified and only use the most up to date modern training techniques! I am on the board of a local rescue and a behavior consultant for a cattle dog rescue and regularly foster when I have an open space. I live on a half acre, fully fenced, and have a mother-in-law suite, fully furnished and temperature controlled. About: Hi everyone! I am a recent law school graduate who is currently studying for the bar exam. You're not supposed to "work" during bar prep, but life is expensive, and I needed to find a way to make money for food and rent while I study. The nice part about studying is that I am available 24/7, around the clock. As long as I have wifi, I can study anywhere, and I can take a break every 1.5-2 hours to walk dogs, check in on pets, play fetch, etc. As for my history, I grew up with dogs and cats. We had german shepherds when I was a kid, and a few indoor cats as well. I have volunteered for multiple different animal rescues in Oregon- ranging from farm sanctuaries to foster based rescue programs, where I fostered 11 different dogs and puppies over the course of 6 months and got them all adopted into good homes! About: I've been working extensively and training with dogs, cats, and horses for over a decade! I love animals of all sizes. I worked with a professional trainer to train my first dog at age 15. I've carried those skills over to train my current adventure cat, and my friends' cats and dogs. I'm comfortable getting messy whether it's giving baths or hiking in the mud and rain. I'm a student, so I love working with animals in between study time and classes. About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters throughout my life and have personally adopted 6 dogs, 5 rats, 1 cat, and even a chinchilla—each one bringing joy and unforgettable memories. Currently, I share my home with my sweet pup, Xena. I’m patient, attentive, and quick to adapt to each pet’s unique needs. I have strong knowledge of dog training, behavior, and wellness, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs with medical needs or special quirks. About: Hello, I’m Anna! I’m a current graduate student at Pacific University navigating the world of online school. It’s a bit of a bummer, but has made it that much easier to be available for you and your fur baby! I’ve grown up with my own dog as well as regularly pup-sitting for family and friends! I have done both dog sitting in their homes, as well as taking them into my own home. I’m comfortable with dogs of any size, though smaller breeds would likely be more comfortable at my place. I’m happy to go for a walk or run, or just hang out on the couch, whatever they prefer! I’m the type of person who goes out of my way to say hello to a pup and give them love! About: Hello! My husband and I are newer to the Salem area, but I am not new to animals. I grew up with dogs and cats my entire life, and I have been a certified vet tech since 2015, working professionally with animals since 2009. I have 5+ years experience in emergency medicine, I know how to administer medications, and have worked with dogs and cats of numerous breeds, sizes, and ages. I also have some experience working with other animals such as rabbits, mice, rats, hamsters, some reptiles and fish. I am working full time hours 3-4 days a week currently, but can be available for drop-in visits as well as overnight stays. On work days I am available early mornings and later evenings, and as long as you are comfortable, my husband can fill in the hours I am not available. I like to give pets the attention they need. I follow directions very well, and am very attentive to detail. I can also offer basic grooming services such as nail trims, ear flushing, and baths (all pending temperament of the pet). I feel confident administering any medications as prescribed by a veterinarian or over the counter.
