My Rusty is one year old and had little socializing with other dogs, but Josua "auditioned" him with the family dogs in advance, which ensured a great fit. About: I have had dogs and cats all my life, along with horses,chickens and goats. they are always treated like a part of the family and that's what is in store for your furry babies as well while in my care, I don't mind watching for the day or doing over nights. I plan to spend most of our day outside playing unless it's raining then of course potty breaks and drying, playing inside and cuddling on the couch.while I watch them I will brush them and for those shedders out there I will brush until I dont get any more hair hopefully minimizing in home shedding for you. because our pets are like family I don't mind giving text updates on how they are doing during the time that they are in my care. About: Although if asked, I’d say I’m a dog person. That hasn’t stopped me however from owning and caring for the kitties in our midsts. I’ve only owned kitties that could go outside so the litter box was not apart of my experience at home. I have, however, taken care of cats that live indoors only, and I’m very aware of the importance of a clean and tidy litter box.
About: Young and old, disabled and moody, I've cared for them all, and have never been without several cats in my life. My Mother used to rescue/trap, spay/neuter, nurse/tame. We have even tamed adult wild cats. It takes lots of time and patience. I've pet sit for many kitties, even for a cat rescue other than ours with over 50 cats. That was incredible! About: Growing up with pets, I learned at a very young age, that our family dog did not like being ridden like a horse! While I've been around dogs all my life, most of my experience has been acquired during my adult years. I (Laura) am a freelancing Designer, and my husband (Lawrence) is a retired Registered Nurse. Together we have many years of experience raising our own family dogs: First we had a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, then two Yorkshire Terrier's, and currently a Pomeranian mix... ...We also raised a couple of boys, and their motley-menagerie of creatures. I think my heart doubled in size, when I realized I could combine two of my favorite passion's; hanging out with furry little Lapdogs, and creating miniature fashion's for Sport! I also really enjoy doing 'Street' photography of doggies and their humans. Dogs bring us so much joy, we just love making a fuss over them! We live near Downtown Cottage Grove, in one of it's walkable historic neighborhoods. Ours is a child-free home, offering 'Boarding' and 'Daycare' services--hosting only small lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. Additionally, we also do 'Drop-in' visits in 'your' home for small and medium size dogs. Our fully-fenced backyard features a variety of tree's and flower gardens, with lots of room to romp and play. It's complete with a covered patio that provides protection from rain or sun year around. Most importantly, we want you to feel worry-free, while we keep your doggie safe and happy! We are available full-time to provide pet care. Occasionally, I freelance from home--where I make and sell custom-fit dog wear, including alterations on existing doggie wearables. My husband is retired, so we have very flexible schedules to accommodate and host our Lapdog friends. We can host up to three Lapdogs per day/night. We also can do 'drop-in' visits to your home, for both small and medium size dogs. Well, around here, it's safety first! We host only Lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. (Also, we only take small breed puppies.) Ours is a child-free home, with a fully-fenced backyard. We can host up to three dogs per day/night. I always sleep in the same room with our visiting doggies--either on our comfy sofas, or our king sized bed. My husband is a retired Registered Nurse. Please be mindful that visiting dogs need to be current with vaccines, flea & tick prevention, and an identity tag. We also have zoned heating and air conditioning throughout our house. There's several doggie-beds, toys, and crate (if requested) or feel free to provide your own. Also, we want to know about anything you think would be helpful in making your Doggie's visit a successful stay. We offer lots of love, cuddles, and belly rubs!

About: I recently trained my high energy border collie mix puppy and although he’s still a teenager, he’s turned out to be a calm, caring, and gentle pup. Most of my pet sitting care has been done for cats, but I have house sat for a family with a Newfoundland, so I have experience with large breeds. I also have cared for a smaller dog that has OCD and separation anxiety. Thanks to the research and dedication that went into puppy training, I’m well aware of what their body language is signaling, and how to adapt according to what they’re feeling. I work from home, so my schedule is flexible. My weekends are pretty flexible as well. Most of my plans are in the evenings (if I do have plans). I give my pets a predictable routine. The cats need a lot of attention as they’re very social. I take my pup to the dog park every couple of days, but I also tire him out through walks, herding games, and mental stimulation.

I have excellent references on my website. I can give oral medication, puppies will go out every 2 hours. I have an adorable poodle who will love playing with your puppy, she is like a mother to puppies. I used to do dog rescue while living in France, and placed all dogs saved in very good homes, this was my main concern. I can read dogs body language, and dealt with traumatized dogs, among them my silver poodle, who was very traumatized by his past. I do like old dogs and have adopted some in the past. If a dog swallow something he should not have, I know how to make them throw up. I am retired, as a parent of 2 purbred miniature poodles, I spend most of my time at home, and take them out reguarly. When I have to go out, I am never gone long. I give a lots of attention to my dogs and dogs I sit. I will give the same care to your dogs and if I take them on a walk, will never let them approach a dog I don't know. the yard is fenced but will always go outside with the dogs and will take them on a leash when it's dark. I live outside cottage grove, I am very protective of my own dogs, will be with yours, too.

About: I've been lucky to have dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, that is 50+ years of wagging tails. I know how important consistency is for keeping dogs calm, especially when they're staying somewhere new. My goal is to make their time with me feel as close to "home" as possible. I grew up with a Newfoundland Retriever mutt and my most recent dog was a lab mix. I spend my Sundays at college walking dogs at the local humane society. I am comfortable with all breeds and have experience with dogs that have health issues. I currently work from home Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with lots of weekend availability. About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life and love animals! I started house sitting dogs about 10 years ago in Oregon. Nova is a golden retriever and she is a pretty low key and very good with all dogs, cats and children. I have experience with both rescue dogs and anxiety ridden dogs. I love to be outdoors so your furry friend will get plenty of exercise at a place of your comfort! I am excited to care for your pet for you :) I currently work a part time job and have flexibility for most days and times of the week. I have a little girl that does most everything with me and understand if arrangements need to be made to accomodate your pet’s comfortability around children. Just let me know. :) I have a fully fenced yard and our sweet Nova (golden retriever) to keep your pet entertained and engaged. We have a pretty laid back style in the home with dogs allowed on couches and beds. They have an abundance of dog beds in a few rooms too if that is more your preference.

I have a lot of free time and have spent much time dropping in on friends’ and family’s animals during work-hours for playtime, walks, potty breaks, playdates with my pooch, etc. I am a self-employed musician with usually way too much free time while others have to be at work- help me fill my schedule with walks, potty breaks, and playtime while you work, and housesitting when you travel! :) My current dog is a Dane-Lab mix with a ton of personality who is very social and could be requested for play dates. Having said this I am not intimidated by large breeds with puppy energy, I’ve seen it all! And I know how important proper situational control and planning is in ensuring dogs are safe and comfortable.
About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.

I adjust as well as I can to make this feel like a safe space.
About: Owner of a Siberian husky for over a decade. Have trained her since she was a puppy. She is now a senior and requires minimal walks compared to when she was young. She gets along with cats really well and is around farm animals frequently. Working 40 hours a week while managing pet care is essential, I am able to work around my schedule as fit for the animal's needs. He's a blond and white 11 pound Pomeranian So it was kind of a big deal especially for me to leave him with a new person for 2 nights and three days. Teresa set up a play date for him one day which he loved . I found Cashew happy and calm when I returned. Teresa is very calm, very attentive and loving. Also she reliable and trustworthy.
