It took one of our boys almost the whole evening to settle in – – we were willing to pick him up right away, but Julie and Barry persisted and reassured us they were in good hands. Clearly, they were – – Julie and Barry have plenty of experience working with dogs, including dogs with special needs. The boys settled in for bed on time, and woke up happy and playful. “Nadine took great care of our dog, Rosco while we were away for a long weekend with family. He got to play outdoors a lot more than he does at home, and with other dogs, too. It was his first time boarding anywhere and he was a little nervous but Nadine is a dog whisperer and gave him what he needed to settle in. She also introduced him to her cat; a creature he had little knowledge of, but had admired from afar. Rosco wanted to chase her a little bit but Nadine was able to talk him out of it. She took lots of pictures for us. Good ones! Rosco is usually either asleep or in motion, so he’s not the best photographic model. We’re homebodies, but if we go somewhere again, Rosco will stay with Nadine.”

About: I have two older (but still high energy) dogs I love! I can cater if older dogs have bladder issues and can supply a doggy diaper to wear instead as well (our oldest has issues sometimes too, I get it!) I currently work from home Monday through Friday 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Stay at home working mom that also has a live in grandma. This is a total pet household. I do allow them on furniture and bed and they do not need to be kennel trained. I just ask that they are great with young children and other small dogs.

About: I’ve been rescuing animals for over 22 years-I’ve cared for big, slobbery Rottweilers to tiny, judgmental cats, fish who pretend not to notice me, and guinea pigs that somehow eat like linebackers. I’ve handled rabbits with attitude, a special needs Yorkie who runs the house, and our Texas rescue Lucy—who I’m pretty sure thinks she rescued me. I have a designated bedroom with a ring camera just for my furry friends! We can keep the pets isolated in their own space the entire time, or they can have free roaming of the house. Options for those pets who need less sensory and more quiet and privacy. I work full-time at a hospital Monday through Friday, so my availability for more hands-on, all-day care is best on weekends. During the week, I’m still happy to offer overnight stays, I just like to mention that-because on weekdays, there may be up to an eight-hour stretch without potty breaks while I’m at work. I live in a fantastic walking neighborhood and can happily meet you in yours or bring them to mine. Can never get too much exercise in! Plus, my big fully fenced in yard is at their disposal.

For overnight stays, I always leave each home in its original condition. I recognize I’m a guest in someone’s sacred space and I treat it as such. I am considerate of other’s homes and do what I can to ensure animals feel safe and comfortable with me in their space. I always appreciate detailed care instructions for overnight stays but I do listen, ask lots of questions at meet and greets, and take detailed notes of my own so I don’t forget anything. I will NEVER have anyone other than myself inside your home or on the property, and I will clean up after myself as well as have the home clean when you get back. I do allow dogs on furniture at my home but will not allow it if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the last 4 years. I’d love to spoil your pup! I have an extra crate if needed and plenty of toys from my dogs they can use. I work from home full time so I am available almost every day of the week. I am free to take them out too as needed. I have a large yard for them to potty in and a front yard for play time. “Communication is beyond great. There will be other dogs so your doggo will have plenty of company fun and exercise. Picture mail is sent daily and in several group photos at a time. The camera and effort that is used to get the pictures is actually really nice. I received well over 50 photos and it’s practically Live Photo updates so you always know what’s going on with your fur baby whether in photos, food updates, and or behavioral. Lastly I had to do last minute modifying and having to add days and Hannah and her husband were on it and able to extend and update very easy. they made process so easy. I am actually blown away by this married couple and their pet serviced if available I will be the only daycare/boarding I will book through on here ever! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! BOOK NOWWW”

“After just moving to Oregon, I was put in a pinch. Had to travel back east for a funeral. I don't know anyone here yet and needed a dog sitter. Back to ROVER I went. That's when I found Amanda. On short notice she invited us over for a meet and greet. I always get worried when I have to leave da pooch behind. She's like my child. Amanda was warm and welcoming. She greeted us with a smile. After a short time, I knew she was the sitter for us. I was only gone for 4 days. The communication was great. She sent pics on a daily to give me the comfort knowing my Pooch was doing OK, and most of all HAPPY 😊. I have to travel again next month, and have already reached back out.
