About: I grew up with dogs my whole life. I have one of my own. I have trained and raised a couple puppies and housesit and cared for many dogs. I also have veterinary care experience. My schedule is currently very open and I am looking to add caring for animals more into my life as it is something I really genuinely enjoy so I’m available for last minute or prepared ahead of time plans I have a fenced in backyard, with access to a doggie door. I have a miniature dachshund, and a domestic shorthaired cat. My animals rule the roost and are cared for exceptionally well. With access to food and water and a cool house with comfortable beds.

About: I always help my best friend and coworkers with their pets whenever they need. I care so much about pets as much as other human beings. I enjoy working with pets on my days off. I am a Nurse working part time at the hospital. I have a 12 lb poodle at home I have fence around my house. It is safe for them to play in the yard with me. “Valerie took such great care of my two kitty boys! She was truly amazing with them and also with me - sending photos frequently along with updates. She answered my questions and special requests to make sure Izzy was peeing first day. I was able to go visit them as well. Her home is clean and neat. When we arrived to her special room for kitties for drop-off day, it was so welcoming and all set up for two cats. I felt so welcomed. I will have to replicate some of the beds and carpet she has for them, they loved them so much. There is a big, secure catio with kitty door for those cats with indoor-outdoor preferences; it has a whole wooden structure in it for them to climb or be up high or down on the ground. Valerie gave my boys lots of loves and playtime/laptime. Milo "helped" her with paperwork (ahem). She is calm and warm and loving. When I visited, they were so calm. Izzy was hesitant at first, hiding under the bed, but by day 2 he was ready to get rubs and playtime. She even plays soothing kitty t.v./music for them. I 100% recommend Valerie and her set-up. She also invited me for a meet and greet before booking. I am so grateful for Valerie taking care of my cats while I traveled and looked for a rental.”

About: I’ve had dogs in the past; loved them and walked them every day. I’ve trained puppies before on how to walk on a lease and more. I’ll be able to give them lots of attention in the morning and afternoons/evenings. I work a flex schedule, but the flexibility allows me to make my own schedule. About: Cats get the same experienced care as my dog clients, just a different approach. I’m comfortable with oral meds, subcutaneous fluids, and insulin injections if your cat needs them, along with keeping an eye on things like kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes. I’ve had cats around me my whole life and I know how different their needs are from a dog’s. I let them set the pace, read their body language, and give space to the shy or easily stressed ones instead of pushing for attention right away. Litter, food, water, playtime, and meds are all part of a normal visit. I’m happy to send photo updates so you know your cat’s doing well while you’re out.

About: I've had a pet in my home since the day I was born, ranging from small breeds that need less stimulation to 75-pound huskies that need intentional activity throughout the day. I've worked as both a dog walker and a doggy daycare team member. At Dogs Life on Damen, I led multiple groups both indoors and outdoors with up to 10 or 15 dogs at a time. Some had special needs stemming from behavioral differences, and it was my job to keep those pets and everyone else safe in an exciting and playful environment. In addition to my experience, I simply love dogs. They are the closest we'll ever get to heaven on earth, and it is my privilege to care for all of our furry friends. Thanks so much, and I hope I can be the right fit for you and your dog. I'm currently working part-time, and have the opportunity to be home for a good amount of the day or go to you. I will have ample time to care for your pet, and there's a lot of work I can do from my computer that will not interfere with any duties while sitting. I will either be home to care for them or provide the living room area where they can hang out if I need to leave the house at all. That being said, when I do need to run out for an errand, I always come back to walk them or take them outside every 2 to 4 hours so no accidents occur. I welcome any crate-trained dogs as well.
