“It's kind of a big deal to leave your pet with a stranger. I am so happy to report that I now have a trusted person to give love to my dog when I have to go away for work. Anika took care of my golden retriever, Baron, over the weekend while I was out of town. Baron and I met her before our trip and I could tell that my dog was immediately at ease in her home. The house is very clean and cute and Anika and her family are warm and welcoming. There is a fenced in front yard with grass for Baron to play and get some exercise. I missed my pup so Anika even texted pictures over the weekend when she took him for walks. I will happily use Anika again the next time I need day or night care for Baron! Definitely recommend.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and each one has had a huge piece of my heart. I will treat your dog like they are a part of my family while they are in my care. I am home most of the time. I typically feed around 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, and this can be adjusted to meet your dogs needs. I do have crates if needed. I also have a large size doggie door that leads into a fenced back yard. I close up the house by 9:00pm after we have had the last potty break for the night. I have a cat, so your dog must be cat friendly. I also have a large male dog that is sweet and gets along with other dogs. Dogs are allowed on my furniture. They can either sleep in a crate, or sleep on their own bed, in my bedroom with me and my dog. I offer a daily walk in my neighborhood, weather permitting. Your dog will be the only dog I host. I only host one family at a time so that I can give your dog and my dog the best experience. Your furry family member will feel happy, safe and secure in my home. “Review is for cat boarding. That sounds like a sport but you get the idea - my cats stayed with Kaelin, who had generous availability on short term notice. 2 cats, 6 nights, 0 problems. Kaelin is an absolute gem. Pre-stay she held a call to learn the specific needs of my cats and throughout their stay she picked up on components of their personalities I didn't even think to share. One of my girls is considerably shyer than the other, but Kaelin made consistent and ultimately successful efforts to engage each cat in a manner comfortable for them. Her patience calmed my shyer cat and her energy and thoughtfulness invigorated my more excitable/curious cat - she picked up on beneficial ways to interact with each of them that could not have been covered alone by what I shared with her pre-stay. Kaelin is clearly someone who has a profound understanding of and deep appreciation for animals, and she takes seriously how much they mean to us, her customers. Kaelin paid incredible attention to detail, was able to tailor every aspect of their stay in ways beyond what I requested, and she provided consistent updates with photos and videos of the two, often focusing on activities she intuited that I would be wondering about (How is shy Summer utilizing the space and responding to interaction? How is playful Autumn being allowed to explore and see outside? etc.). Through the way she was engaging with my girls and seeing how they, in turn, responded to her, it is so clear that Kaelin approaches her work with immense passion and care. About: My name is Sophia! I am 27 and I have been around animals most of my life. I always try to understand any animal and pet. Making sure to get to their level and accommodate them in any way I can. I currently have one doggie, one cat, and a fish. They are all super sweet. I train my dog often at home and the public parks. My dog is kennel trained and usually is in her kennel when no one is home, but we leave her out when we aren't gone long. I make sure everyone has water in the morning and evening. We walk our dog around the neighborhood twice daily. One in the morning and one in the evening. I have fenced backyard. I have a doggie door for pets to come in and out. I can also close it off to control access outside. I always leash my dog when going on walks.

She was able to medicate those on meds the first day - which for a bunch of indoor/outdoor cats and someone they don’t really know is amazing. We also had to make some last minute changes in our plans (because ice) and she was completely fine with that. We also loved that she had experience with chickens and exotic birds as we may be adding those to our family. We very much hope to work with her again.”

About: I adopted my dog from a rescue 13 years ago and have fostered (in my home) over 50 dogs since then. My dogs( I have two medium sized dogs) (and any fosters or fur friends we have over) enjoy frequent walks, hikes, and dog park trips. My pups (and the pups that were allowed to), sleep in the bed with me and get maximum cuddle and play time! I myself stay pretty active so enjoy the walk time. About: We had a family dog from the time I was a toddler. The first dog was a Doberman, then the next family dog was a Springer Spaniel. My family also volunteered as puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and we raised 5 guide dog puppies. One flunked out of guide dog school and came back to live with us until she was 13. Later, I volunteered with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and helped puppy raisers with their new puppies, and weekly helped teach the classes from 12 weeks when the puppies first arrive to their puppy raiser homes, up to 18 months when they leave their puppy raisers the puppies get trained before they go back in for their formal under harness training for their blind person. All 9 years of work there we used positive reinforcement with the dogs and helped the puppy raisers. I also attended some classes with Guiding Eyes on dog body language. I also have my own rescue dog who I adopted during that time and he has had positive reinforcement training since I adopted him. I now assist owners with training or behavioral needs they may have for their dogs to make the owners and the dogs happier and more peaceful living. I also have added a list of other services, from boarding in my home, to house sitting in yours, dog walking, drop in visits, or daycare in my house. I am working from home and available basically all the time, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and over weekends as well. Days: M, T, W, T, F, S, S I don’t have kids or cats. Just me and my one 10 year old personal dog are in the house. I live in a condo and don’t have a backyard, but I have always walked my dog in the neighborhood and gone to hike at Lake Chabot which is only a 12 minute drive or at Oakland hills parks.

About: I stay VERY BUSY petsitting, because I have several regular clients I Petsit, house sit, clean and organize for 16 years. Only sweet loving breeds of dogs, and all cats, chickens, goats, horses, koi,and pet squirrels! I have Virtual work that I can do while I'm Petsitting and housesitting. Also if I am hired to clean or organize a home while I'm Petsitting, that works out really well I care for pets in their own home to minimize their anxiety while their moms and dads are away. I make them feel as comfortable as they can be by sticking to their routine.
About: I have had dogs my whole life as well as cats and a few other random buddies. I currently own 3 dogs and 3 cats so I know they need love and attention many times a day just like a kid, and I will treat them like I treat my own loved ones. I currently do gig work full time and thus have a fully open schedule. I am able and willing to be there for your animals and house needs at any given hour. I am not currently offering care in my own home as I do not have the capacity of a correct home to take care of your loved ones since I already have my own friends in mine.

“It's kind of a big deal to leave your pet with a stranger. I am so happy to report that I now have a trusted person to give love to my dog when I have to go away for work. Anika took care of my golden retriever, Baron, over the weekend while I was out of town. Baron and I met her before our trip and I could tell that my dog was immediately at ease in her home. The house is very clean and cute and Anika and her family are warm and welcoming. There is a fenced in front yard with grass for Baron to play and get some exercise. I missed my pup so Anika even texted pictures over the weekend when she took him for walks. I will happily use Anika again the next time I need day or night care for Baron! Definitely recommend.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and each one has had a huge piece of my heart. I will treat your dog like they are a part of my family while they are in my care. I am home most of the time. I typically feed around 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, and this can be adjusted to meet your dogs needs. I do have crates if needed. I also have a large size doggie door that leads into a fenced back yard. I close up the house by 9:00pm after we have had the last potty break for the night. I have a cat, so your dog must be cat friendly. I also have a large male dog that is sweet and gets along with other dogs. Dogs are allowed on my furniture. They can either sleep in a crate, or sleep on their own bed, in my bedroom with me and my dog. I offer a daily walk in my neighborhood, weather permitting. Your dog will be the only dog I host. I only host one family at a time so that I can give your dog and my dog the best experience. Your furry family member will feel happy, safe and secure in my home. About: My name is Sophia! I am 27 and I have been around animals most of my life. I always try to understand any animal and pet. Making sure to get to their level and accommodate them in any way I can. I currently have one doggie, one cat, and a fish. They are all super sweet. I train my dog often at home and the public parks. I have a boyfriend who works later shifts, so pets won't be alone until 10am. We have a fenced back yard with a doggie door. My cat and dog let themselves out when they need to. My dog is kennel trained and usually is in her kennel when no one is home, but we leave her out when we aren't gone long. I make sure everyone has water in the morning and evening. We walk our dog around the neighborhood twice daily. One in the morning and one in the evening. I have fenced backyard. I have a doggie door for pets to come in and out. I can also close it off to control access outside. I always leash my dog when going on walks.
