About: I’ve had cats my entire life! I love to care for them. My grandmother was a vet so I have decent knowledge in care :) I have a completely open schedule!! I have a lot of chronic pain so I’m not currently working a normal part time job. Due to my health, my availability may be closed for a couple days at a time, but I should be mostly open! I love my own three babies and would love to care for yours as well :) I don’t believe I would be able to bring your baby to my home, but I can always come to yours! I won’t bring my babies to stress anyone out, but they all might smell each other. I’m very gentle with disabled pets, as one of mine is deaf and has some back issues. I will be very patient and understanding of your fur ball’s needs! If you are going away for multiple days at a time, I can stop by as many times as needed to clean litter box(es) and food dish(es). I will also make sure your kitty has fresh/clean water, especially with the warmer months!!

About: I've been lucky to have dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, that is 50+ years of wagging tails. I know how important consistency is for keeping dogs calm, especially when they're staying somewhere new. My goal is to make their time with me feel as close to "home" as possible. About: I’ve never known life without animals. I grew up caring for dogs, cats, chickens, a pig, and horses, and have been responsible for animal care in some form since I was around six. Today, I have three dogs and three cats of my own, including two dogs under 1.5 years old, so I’m very comfortable with puppy energy, training routines, enrichment, walks, and consistency. About: I got my first pet at 18, a kitten who was from a stray in the neighborhood. We had her and her brother for 16 years, as well as two pit bull mixes that 14 & 15 years. Now we are just down to a 1.5 year old rescued chihuahua mix. I’ve fostered over 30 dogs and a few kittens, volunteered at our local animal shelters and worked events trying to find pets loving homes. I love caring for animals and being a person animals trust. I am a self employed person so my schedule is very flexible, I take my own dog on daily walks and can fit things in easily. My animals are the center of my world and I am always wanting them to be safe, comfortable and loved. I will do the exact same for your babies within your household boundaries. But mine will always sleep in my bed! :)

About: Caring for pets has been an important part of my life for as long as I remember and I know how important it is that our furry family members get the best care when we are away. From daily feeding, playtime, and training to handling medications, vet visits, trips to the emergency vet, I've done it all. I volunteer weekly at the Greenhill Humane Society socializing shy and nervous cats and have completed a course in pet CPR and first aid. With an 18-month-old boxer of my own, I know all about working with exuberant dogs and puppies and am always learning new training techniques to help with enrichment and obedience. A few things I would like every pet parent to provide me before I care for their pet. We can discuss this, and anything that I missed, when we first meet. - Expected arrival and departure dates and time - Emergency contacts besides yourself - Feeding schedule and instructions, including treats allowed - Health conditions to be aware of - Detailed medication instructions if needed - Name and address of their vet - Closest emergency vet - Pet temperament (fears, anxieties, etc) - Toys and favorite games - Where pet(s) sleep - Where they are and are not allowed in the house or yard (if dog) Dog: - Their potty habits - Equipment such as harnesses, leashes, poop bags, treats etc. - Anything I need to know about their behavior outside of the home (walking, in the car, around other animals and people) - Crate rules (if used) House (if housesitting): - Alarm instructions if applicable - Trash, recycling, and mail/package handling - Location of pet supplies - Location of thermostats, electrical panels, laundry, etc. - Wifi password, remote controls, etc. - Any service professionals who might visit during the stay (cleaners, yard maintenance, etc.) - Expectations around plants, mail, clean-up before your return I'm retired from the UO, so outside of my volunteer hours (~6 hours/week), my schedule is very flexible! I'm happy to work with the schedule that suits your pets needs. Meeting your pet's needs is my highest priority, whether it is playtime, quiet affection, a long walk, or simple companionship. I ask that all pet owners leave detailed instructions on their pet's needs, including what treats they can have, medications required, how they like to play, what actions or situations might cause anxiety, and all information for vet care and emergency contacts.
“Josh was Incredible! My dog, Ziggy, is a bit apprehensive meeting new people and especially welcoming people into our home. Josh listened to my requests for their first meeting and had such good vibes and body language that it was a mere matter of minutes before Ziggy was literally eating out of his hands and Ziggy had no problem with Josh following us upstairs and hanging out inside. I didn't doubt for a second that Josh could handle Ziggy's antics and his strength on the leash. Josh sent daily updates and pictures of Ziggy out on walks and snuggling with him on the couch. I had a friend checking in on my kitty but Josh noticed that she (the cat) had thrown up in the spare room and not only let me know about it, and kept an eye on her mood/behaviors but even took it upon himself to clean up the mess! I was blown away. Ziggy had a great time and I will definitely book Josh for future pet care. Thank you so much, Josh!”
About: I've had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I have experience with many types of dogs including larger breeds and more active breeds of dogs. I enjoy them all. I also have significant experience in equine care. I'm self employed so flexibility for your pets is not an issue. I will make sure that your pet always gets the time that they need. The safety and well-being of your pet are my highest concern. All instructions and routines will be adhered to, as well as good communication. I want you to be completely comfortable with me caring for your pet, I know how stressful it can be to leave them.
About: I've been around pets of all kinds my whole life. Even a little gator at the local pet and pet supply shop. When it comes to dogs, cats, birds, and lizards, I love them all, most of the time they love me, some tolerate until they warm up to me. I love training animals of any kind, or at least trying. :) I have part time availability, but I'm usually able to adjust my schedule to fit in with any client needs. If you pick me, your pet will always take priority and I'll do my darndest to make them comfortable and happy around me. I live in a house with a fenced back yard. No pets, though our neighbors are often come by for a planned or welcomed surprise visit. As for a clients home I've learned over the years to leave a place the same way I found it. About: Ever since I was 8 years old I have been responsible for feeding, cleaning up after, walking and teaching simple tricks to our family pets. Family and friends have relied on me to not only give necessary care to their pets but make sure they are receiving all the desired attention, play time, and alone time. Since I have grown up with pets my whole life I have a great understanding of how to read cat’s and dog’s body language to know how they are feeling in different situations. I am currently living with two boy cats of my own and they are my babies! I’m currently a full time student, working a part time job looking for a way to get money to help with bills by doing something I’m passionate about, loving animals. When caring for your pet in your home, I prioritize safety, trust, communication and a clean environment. I will carefully follow all instructions provided to me including feeding or bathroom schedules, medications or any special needs. I keep the house secure by keeping doors locked and avoiding anything that could put your fur baby at risk. I am more than happy to communicate with regular updates if desired! I will also be sure to clean up after your pet and leave your home same or better condition than I found it.
About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.
About: I've had dogs my entire life and have always loved just being around animals. While I'm away from home, I'd love to spend some time with dogs and help give them the best possible time I can! I'm a college student, so my schedule shifts a bit with the seasons, but pet care fits in easily either way. Over the summer, I'm home essentially all day, every day, so I have plenty of time for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins whenever they're needed. This fall, I'll be taking classes again, but since they're online and my schedule is very flexible, I'll still have plenty of availability throughout the day. I'm happy to work around your pet's existing routine, whether that means a set feeding schedule, a mid-day walk, or just extra company during the day. Since I offer dog walking and house sitting/drop-in visits rather than boarding, most of my pet care happens in the client's home and neighborhood, so I always make safety and comfort a top priority there. Before any visit, I like to get a clear understanding of the pet's routine, any commands they know, leash behavior, and specific instructions from the owner. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed, stay aware of traffic and other animals, and avoid unfamiliar areas that could pose risks. For house sitting and drop-ins, I treat the client's home with the same care and respect as I would my own, making sure doors and gates are securely closed, food and water are refreshed as needed, and any medications or special routines are followed exactly as instructed. I also send updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for while they're away. At my own home, I have a fenced yard and no other pets or young kids, which makes it easy to give a visiting dog calm, focused attention with minimal distractions or safety concerns.
