About: I’ve hand raised birds and kittens. I volunteer with Save a Gato and Puerto Rico dog fund. I foster for both and flight ángel where I fly animals to the states and coordinate getting them to the foster. I have 1 chihuahua mix breed and two cats full time. Occasionally, I will have other foster animals as well. I’m free. I’m a independent contractor I make my own hours. I work from home. I travel often so my days will vary I’m best for boarding short term. I have a fenced yard and all of my pets are friendly. Everyone has flea treatment, dewormed and shots. About: I was Blessed with a Tortoiseshell cat for 15 years named Penelope Rose. Pets truly help us through the hardest times of our lives and we help them in return. They do find us, for sure. She was developed cat asthma (rare) and medication was not helping her so I put her down and that was my last pet years ago. I grew up having a grey Siamese cat. Both cats followed me everywhere. Every cat I meet has a unique personality that I love getting to know each and every one. Cats make me feel very calm & relaxed and I feel I have that same effect on them as well. I like the idea of sometime developing a cat toy line because I used to make so many homemade, safe ones when I was growing up. I understand Dogs & Cats and they seem to get me too. I used to foster a 3-legged handi-capable cat and an amazing 1-eyed cat (who is older than 20 years and is now blind). She keeps on going that sweet girl! Shes got a great will to live. I’m familiar with wound-care and post-vet care. I’m in tune with cats and understand calming techniques to make their environment pleasant & comfortable.

I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home as an editor, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.

About an hour (time to let their food settle) after breakfast we go out for another supervised potty break, depending on the weather we'll stay outside and engage in some supervised play or come inside and do some enrichment activities before enjoying some down time to relax and reset. If you have requested a lunch for your pet, I'll provide a safe and quiet space for you pet to enjoy some lunch between 12pm-1pm. After letting their lunch settle( between 1pm-2pm) we'll go back out for a supervised potty break and some more supervised playtime, enrichment, or go for a walk in the neighborhood. I live in a house in a quiet neighborhood. I have 2 pet friendly dogs of my own, a husband, and a 16 year old son. My backyard is fully fenced (6ft tall) with security cameras all around the outside. I also have baby gates and x-pens to keep pets separated if needed. I have poop scoops and a bucket for quick and easy clean up, pet safe/vet approved sanitizer to keep things clean, pet first aid supplies, toys, enrichment/training equipment, a dog run, kennels, water bowls, a sandbox for digging in, swimming pools/sprinklers for hot days, and plan to add more outdoor equipment for a more fun and enriching time. About: 5 months of volunteer experience in a private shelter in Romania, taking care of 80+ dogs at any given time. Recently adopted one of the dogs from the shelter. Dogs and cats have always been present in my family. On M/W/F, at 8AM-2:30PM, I attend massage school in Portland. On the days I go to school, I do have periods of time, early morning and early evening, to check on your fur babies. Aside from that, my free days, Tue/Thur/Sat/Sun, are fully open for whatever frequency is needed to check on your animals. I have a fenced yard with two dogs that are social. Occasionally there is a cat present. I’m fully comfortable taking your dogs on walks, playing with them, or just sitting and keeping them company.
About: I’ve owned huskies and malamutes for over 10 years. I’ve had my current malamute since he was a puppy. About: While growing up I have always had a dog in the home. I’m a huge dog lover and don’t know what I would do if I did not have a dog in my life. I remember when my parents let me chose our next dog when I was young. I chose a sheltie and named him Arrow. The reason for the name Arrow was when I went to pick him up I noticed in his fur on the back of his head was an arrow. I loved taking care of Arrow and we had a special bond! I loved taking him on walks and he loved chasing me around the house. When I turned 15 I started to take care of one of my neighbors cats and fish when they went on vacations. After completing one summer, I started taking care of their cats and fish for the next eight years before I moved out. Once the rest of my neighbors found out I was known in the neighborhood for taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats when they were on vacations! I have also taken care of many of my coworkers cats and dogs as well. So rest assured your pet will be in good hands while you are on vacation. It will be one less stress to worry about. I currently work full time, however work three 12 hours shifts. I’m currently off Friday-Monday. So I’m available for the weekends, so perfect for anyone wanting to do a weekend getaway! I do work graveyard so I’m available anytime after 2pm on Fridays. However, if you need to drop of earlier just communicate so I can plan ahead. My girlfriend and I live in a townhouse. I don’t have a fenced backyard. However, have a small backyard that is used for potty breaks. It does have a small area of grass turf (fake grass). The good news we live in Fairview in the Fairview Terrace community. We have a very large area for dogs. So your dog will have lots of playtime in the grassy area. Also, the neighborhood is perfect for walking your dog as well. The community is fenced and a gated community as well. Our community is very dog friendly and many pet owners. We also have a micro mini Golden doodle. So your dog will have a playmate as well. We can also send photos of your pet to you while on vacation to help with the separation. I know when I go on vacation I have a hard time leaving my fur baby behind. For me, getting photos of my fur baby made the vacation a little easier!

About: I have had experience with many different types of breeds and ages. I have seen it all! I have grown up with dogs and have experience with rescue/ shelter pups. Fun fact: I have leash-trained all of our family dogs ranging from 11-70lbs, assisted in potty training, and in January 2025 I began working as a part-time veterinary assistant! Since about age 17, I have volunteered at my local dog shelter in my spare time and helped friends and family bathe, feed, and walk their pets! I have a sweet spot for senior dogs; I have one of my own (Oreo) who is very spoiled with love and treats! My weekend availability is very open. On weekdays Mondays-Fridays it varies, since I do work in healthcare. About: My name is Emily and animals are a major part of my life. I grew up in a home where my mom was a dog trainer for 40+ years. We provided doggy day care and boarding service in our home. I have lots of experience with dogs, their behaviors and personalities, and how they truly bring happiness to people's lives.
