“If I could give 10 stars I would. I’m new to the area and having an anxious dog going through some major changes has been challenging. The first night Mickenzie came over to let him out, Beanie wouldn’t let her touch him and growled the whole time. He wouldn’t even eat a treat that she left in front of him on the couch! Mickenzie was gentle, patient, and communicative through the entire process. The following day she agreed to come out on her own time to meet beanie with me and let him get more acquainted in a safe space with mom. She was kind and understanding even as he barked and growled at her throughout the visit. That night she came back to try again. She took her time, was able to connect, Beanie let her pet him, pick him up, and put a harness on. She was able to let him out to the bathroom and get him back in without any issue other than the time and patience it took from her. Mickenzie is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend her especially for those who are anxious leaving their babies in the care of someone they don’t know. I’m so grateful and will continue to use her as often as possible. About: I've taken care of several types of dogs. Growing up we had a chihuahua and I was responsible for feeding, bathing, and I played a lot with him. I also pet sit my friends two labradoodles and was responsible for feeding, playing, and just watching the house for most of the day. About: I grew up surrounded by kittens and cats! My grandma and mom were crazy cat ladies lol. I have a Siamese cat named Mochi! I rescued him as a kitten. He was found in a trash can covered in fleas, worms, and could barely keep his eyes open from excessive mucus. About: I started on Rover back in 2018 boarding dogs in my home! Now I'm available to do drop in visits for dogs and cats. I have a cat of my own named Peach who is 5 now. Dogs tend to really like me which is a plus! I love playing and taking dogs for walks. I work at a bank full time but looking to make extra money in my free time. “This was our first time boarding Ginny with someone who wasn’t family or close friends, so I was definitely nervous. Dezarae was so great and sent daily updates with photos and videos without us having to ask, which meant a lot. Ginny can have some separation anxiety with me and my partner, but the consistent updates (and little details about how she was doing, especially with crate time) really helped ease my mind. Ginny clearly had the best time. She got comfortable with Dezarae’s dogs quickly and loved being part of their routine. We also booked pretty last minute and she was very flexible and accommodating. Ginny came home happily exhausted in the best way. We would absolutely book with her again.”
