Having traveled to Portland from San Diego to visit our toddler granddaughter, we were in a bind. Our mixed-breed dog is reactive to the toddler and to the two cats who also live in the house, and that makes for a stressful visit. I wanted to get a dog sitter, but I was worried about finding someone so far from home on short notice. Our dog has a lot of separation anxiety and is rather high-strung. About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. About: Throughout my life I’ve had 2 dogs, 7 cats, and I currently live with 3 cats. I don’t have a preference between cats and dogs, I love them equally! I don’t work a regular job so my schedule is almost always open for pet sitting. I’m free to house sit, dog walk, whenever you need me. About: I’ve always loved old dogs, my first dog was 9 when my family adopted her, I was only 7! But when I saw her for the first time I just knew she was mine. I’ve had many dogs since and absolutely love meeting new dogs and getting to know them. I am currently self employed full time so my schedule is very flexible. I generally am available for pick ups and drops offs from 7am to 12am. I treat your dog like family. Dogs on the bed! I have lots of puzzles and lick mats etc for enrichment and lots of toys at my place for boarding. I frequent many of the dog parks in the city if your pup and you are comfortable with off leash dog parks. I also know all the great walking trails around the area for on leash romps. I’ve defended my dogs against aggressive off leash dogs in the past and feel very confident in my ability to protect your baby whether at the dog park or walking the neighborhood.

About: Dedicated Certified Dog Trainer and Pet First Aid/CPR Instructor with over 30 years experience caring for my own variety of pets and family and friend's pets. I also have over 4 years experience working in high-volume doggie daycare, boarding, and training environment. I'm experienced in working with dogs of different breeds, ages, sizes (XS-XXL), and temperaments. I am also experienced in caring for cats, rats, guinea pigs, and bunnies. The pets in my care will be treated like my own and receive top-tier care. I work from home, so your pet won't be left alone or crated all day. I have a fully fenced backyard (6ft tall vinyl fencing), baby gates, and x-pens to keep dogs out of unwanted areas or keep dogs separated. I enjoy capturing pictures and videos of the pets in my care doing various activities and am willing to send you updates throughout their stay. I'm starting my own in home pet care and am home with your pets 24/7. Everyday the pets in my care are let out for a potty break upon arrival or in the morning, before coming back into their separate spaces to have breakfast (if boarding or parent's brought breakfast). About an hour (time to let their food settle) after breakfast we go out for another supervised potty break, depending on the weather we'll stay outside and engage in some supervised play or come inside and do some enrichment activities before enjoying some down time to relax and reset. If you have requested a lunch for your pet, I'll provide a safe and quiet space for you pet to enjoy some lunch between 12pm-1pm. After letting their lunch settle( between 1pm-2pm) we'll go back out for a supervised potty break and some more supervised playtime, enrichment, or go for a walk in the neighborhood. I live in a house in a quiet neighborhood. I have 2 pet friendly dogs of my own, a husband, and a 16 year old son. My backyard is fully fenced (6ft tall) with security cameras all around the outside. I also have baby gates and x-pens to keep pets separated if needed. I have poop scoops and a bucket for quick and easy clean up, pet safe/vet approved sanitizer to keep things clean, pet first aid supplies, toys, enrichment/training equipment, a dog run, kennels, water bowls, a sandbox for digging in, swimming pools/sprinklers for hot days, and plan to add more outdoor equipment for a more fun and enriching time. Your pets will be treated like one of my own.
About: I've taken care of all kinds of animals ever since I can remember I love and care about all animals and would treat yours like my own! I'm a stay at home mom at the moment so I'm just looking for extra money to make so I can go out and do more things with my kids! I can definitely help leash train if that's something you would need or train in any other way I've trained every animal I've had so it's pretty easy for me!

They are very friendly, easy to work with, and respond to communication quickly. They have a very nice area for your pet to stay, but also allow them to be part of their family if the pet is compatible. They also provide daily exercise including walks, and will send pics and texts to keep you updated.
