About: I have experience with pets big and small and of all ages. I have 5 animals (3 cats, 2 dogs) and plenty of room for all to roam. I have cared for animals ever since I was a little kid and have years of experience in house sitting for neighbors who had chickens, lizards, cats, dogs, quail, fish, and various rodents too. I have experience in providing medication and other various needs your pet may require. I also love taking photos and can provide photos often! There will be someone home with your pet at all times of the day and we are always able to be contacted. I am currently unemployed so I am home most of the time with my fur-babies and I am never gone for more than 4 hours at a time so that means more time to care for your animals and give them the attention they deserve! My husband and I both provide amazing care to our animals and would love to give your fur-baby a safe home when you’re away. Before Indy and Loki, I cared for two cats who each lived to 18 years old, providing them with a happy, well-loved life. During that time, I became experienced with administering insulin shots, pills, capsules, and liquid medications, and I’m attentive to the subtle behaviors and patterns that signal a pet’s needs. My home features multiple pet gates for safe separation when needed, a second floor for flexible space, and a large, fully fenced backyard with lush grass. I live in a quiet, flat, dog walk friendly neighborhood . While I’m not currently sitting cats, I’m happy to provide dogs with consistent care, attention, food, and any required medication. Because I work from home, I can accommodate nearly any reasonable request. I am able to take frequent breaks and often spend that time playing with my two dogs or taking them on walks. They are let out at regular intervals and fed twice a day. I can keep your pet within my view at all times while I’m home and can accommodate a crate if you prefer. During the day, my dogs usually rest at my feet or on a nearby bed until our first walk. Your pet is welcome to stay with me or lounge wherever they’re comfortable on the first floor of my home. If needed, I can separate pets by floor or with pet gates to avoid direct interactions.

About: *MUST MEET ME AND MY LAB IN PUBLIC PRIOR TO BOOKING*. Although my lab, Hela loves everyone, unfortunately not every dog loves her so please set a meeting prior to booking! I'm flexible with times and locations! I offer attention to detail and love for pups. I'm the pup mom that knows all my dogs allergies and favorite foods! I've had dogs my entire life and even as a kid began training them! My friends always choose me when they are going out of town to watch their pups. I actually decided to join Rover after one of the pups I watch dads suggested I should! I work from home with my black lab who loves everyone and is a gentle soul (her 2 besties are a min pin and a golden retriever) and currently she is the only animal in my house. We take hourly stretch breaks to pee and play a little ball! I have a fenced yard with grass. If you'd like, I'll send cute pictures throughout the day too! Also if allowed, the pups go with me to get weekly pups cups from Starbs. I work from home and have a black lab, so all day everyday I do pet care. My job fortunately makes it easy to interact with thr pups and make sure their needs are taken care of. Prior to recently (they moved), I was watching a golden retriever (Duke) along with my lab every week day and his dad is who suggested I start rover as he would often say "I know my buddy is safe and happy here, he has the best of time". Currently, when we have a guest I make sure there food is prepared and on time. We take hourly potty and play breaks (more if requested - I have a buzzer my dog presses). The rest of the day the pups are free to roam the house with me. I have dog beds (including some in my office), thousands of toys (my dog unfortunately does not destroy anything lol), and when we have an overnight guest, the pups sleep in the bed with me (unless otherwise requested). I love pups and have always wanted more but babysitting is a happy medium!

This was Lainey’s first time ever staying somewhere other than our home while we were on vacation, so we were a little nervous. Makena made us feel completely at ease by sending pictures and videos every day so we could see how well Lainey was doing. She even took Lainey to a self pet wash, which was such a thoughtful extra and totally above and beyond. You can tell she genuinely cares and treats the dogs like her own. We’re so grateful for such a positive first experience and will absolutely be using Makena again. Highly recommend her.”

About: I've had pets since I was born, so usually i'm quick to be befriended by most animals. Over the years I have had experience with taking care of many pets including dogs, cats, rabbits and I’m always loving and attentive with all of them! I am available for regular walks in Tri-cities and overnight stays in both my camper home/your home! I am also available for walks weekdays between 7am-5pm weekdays (depending on location). Weekends I am available from 7am-3pm, unless boarding which is much more flexible! Care for your pets will be given with my absolute undivided attention! Pets are always welcome in my camper home, which sits on a grassed garden area in lovely Benton City. I kindly ask that supplies (including doggy bags, crates and bowls) should be provided by you upon arrival, as well as anything your pet may find comforting to have with them.
