Ruthie is a compassionate, attentive, and detail-oriented human who has a clear and natural intuit for dogs, and adores and respects them as the whole, wonderful beings that they are. It was impossible to miss that she held Marlin’s complete and total admiration when I came to pick him up. If that weren’t enough evidence, Ruthie’s wonderful updates and beautiful photos of Marlin clearly having the time of his life would be! Ruthie, thank you so much for your friendship to Marlin, and your understanding. it’s meant a lot. We’ll be happy to see you again soon!”

“Sandy and her husband were very welcoming to our dogs, and us! We did a meet and greet first and she introduced her dogs to ours one at a time, and all went well. So nice to not have dogs in a crate or kennel the whole time you are gone, and with Sandy they get to hang out and run around with her 3 Golden Retrievers, inside and safely outside, which is fenced. She sent us pictures while we were gone, of each dog sleeping on the couch. Very accommodating for pick-up and drop-off as well.”

About: I was raised in a dog and cat household and loved taking care of them. For the brief time in my adulthood that I did not have a pet, I would dog/cat sit for a various families often. I am fond of elderly dogs/cats and have taken care a few (including giving medications, shots, cooking specific diets, etc). I am also comfortable feeding farm animals such as horses and mules. I work full-time from my home allowing flexible time to play and care for animals. My outings are usually quick errands around town so my pets get a lot of dog mom time! I am available to do longer stays given that I work remote and love making pets feel safe and comfortable whilst their owners are away. I have a fenced-in yard and 2 friendly dogs (lab and border collie mix) to keep your furry loved one company! I also play music often for myself and for the dogs. I find it helps soothe some anxiety for them as well!

I look forward to meeting your fur baby.

About: I have been pet sitting and volunteering since I was 10. I have worked with shy dogs, reactive dogs, overly friendly dogs, puppies, anything you can think of. I also work with cats, even the ones who are not fans of visitors. I’ve gone through vet tech school and I have a lot of experience in training as well. I am very patient and work with your wants and needs. I have experience administering medication and can work with most needs, just ask! :) **I can accept dogs who don’t get along with others, just let me know. My dogs are crate trained and I can keep them seperate.** I am available at almost anytime of any day. Pet sitting is my passion and currently my only job, and when I am working I still make sure that your pet can be my priority. I can work with whatever environment you have. Apartment, large home with yard, there are so many ways to still interact and tire out your pup :)

About: Apart from being a cat mom myself to special babies (FIV+) for the better part of 5 years, I have prior experience working with cats in a variety of environments. I began volunteering at the AZ Humane Society, where I provided care and enrichment to the cats (and dogs). Once in college, I found a job as a veterinary assistant, where I remained for 4-5 years. I was accepted into numerous veterinary schools and ended up choosing OSU in '24. I have extensive experience with cats in the clinic environment and the shelter environment - as these are both high stress environments, I pursued a Fear Free Certification and a Cat Friendly Veterinary Practioner certificate, to ensure that I was most knowledgeable about techniques in how to reduce stress and offer a better experience for my patients in the future. With my own cats, I have a tendency to be a helicopter parent and I watch my cats for changes in their behaviors, very closely. My FIV+ cat, Bryan, also has asthma, which has allowed me to learn how to utilize an inhaler. Bryan also has had numerous eye issues, so I am very comfortable administering eye medications/drops, and anything oral (both pill/liquid, etc.)

I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust, and I’m here to give your pet the love, attention, and comfort they deserve while you're away. As a part-time nursing student and mom of two, I’ve learned how to balance a busy schedule with care and attention to detail. qualities that I also bring to pet care. I work relief shifts as a behavioral health support specialist, which gives me a flexible schedule that allows time during the day and weekends to dedicate to animals. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because caring is what I do, whether it’s my own kids or someone’s beloved pet, I’m fully committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. “We brought our dog to Whitney’s house for three days while we were in the area for work and she took great care of him! She was super flexible since we needed to pick him up at different times each day. And our dog was happy and well exercised when we got him in the evening. If we are ever back in the area again and need babysitting we will definitely bring our puppy back. Thanks Whitney!”

About: I have been around dogs and cats since before I could walk! I started pet sitting for my neighbors when I was a kid and have spent most of my life helping out my friends and family with their pets. I am a huge animal lover and also very active! I often pet sit for my friends and love to take their dogs on walks and runs. I live in Albany with my cat, Bill, and work from home a lot so I have lots of availability and would love some more dog time in my life! I work from home four days a week (wednesday’s i am in office) so i have a lot of availability to spend time with your dog! I am also an active runner and walker, so I can get your pup outside and get out energy if that’s what they need, or we can cuddle up inside and play or hang out :) I live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with lots of grassy areas and walking paths around. I do have a cat, he gets along well with dogs, but your pup would need to be okay with cats! I have a very gentle approach to dogs and respecting their boundaries is so important to me. Depending on what you prefer for your dog, they are free to roam my apartment and be on furniture, unless you prefer them not to be! I have some experience training so if you’re in the middle of building habits, i will adhere to those practices :)
“Arielle is really friendly and understood our dog’s demeanor. Our dog quickly took to her. As well, Arielle was very response through text and a life saver for the last day of our Sequoia trip. She is located just outside the entrance to Sequoia National Park… so very convenient!”

About: As a pre-veterinary student, I provide more than just pet sitting—I bring knowledge, patience, and a genuine passion for animal care. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and other small animals through both personal ownership and animal care work. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs, including administering medications when needed. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll provide attentive, reliable care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind. I'm currently home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Aside from occasional appointments and errands, I'm home throughout the day. Caring for animals is already a part of my daily routine, as I have pets of my own with established care schedules. Adding your pet into that routine allows me to provide consistent feeding, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, medication (if needed), and plenty of companionship. I always work to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, medical needs, and any household rules so I can provide care that's both safe and consistent. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment and closely supervise interactions. I carefully introduce new situations at each pet's comfort level and never leave animals in unsafe situations. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the home and the animals with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any specific care requests exactly as directed. I also provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. As a pre-veterinary student, I'm attentive to changes in an animal's behavior or health and won't hesitate to contact you—and, if necessary, seek veterinary care—if I have concerns.

About: Hello! Animals are my passion and have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up taking care of a working ranch and was riding before I could walk. I have experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, birds, horses, and livestock animals as well as some exotic animals. Through school, I did a lot of pet sitting regularly for neighbors and friends around the valley so I am familiar with caring for pets who require special care. When I got into college, I went to school for veterinary medicine but due to life circumstances, I had to begin pursuing another career. Now, I am working as a dog trainer with a good understanding of animals and some veterinary knowledge to help along the way. If you ever need help with dog training, just ask! While I am caring for your pet(s), I will play with them, take dogs on walks as the weather allows, and make sure your pets feel loved while their parents are away. I am dedicated to providing the best care possible and look forward to meeting you soon! I currently work evenings and my partners work mornings so one of us will always be available to stay with your critters. I am very flexible and organized so any pets we watch blends right into our routine like they're our own. I am willing to work with you to make sure your pet can stay on the routine they are used to and feel loved while they are away from you to help limit their stress. I, with your permission, will provide daily walks for dogs, exercise, and entertainment. I have experience with animals that require special care and I am familiar with giving them medication. I will play with cats and can teach tricks to both cats and dogs. I will use any treats and toys provided to avoid any possible allergic reactions and your pets will be treated like a part of our family when in my care.

“Heather was just amazing with our puppy- she goes above and beyond to be well-informed, kind, and efficient. Bowie absolutely had the best time. We appreciated how thorough she was about getting to know our high-energy puppy before he even walked through her door. Can't recommend enough!”

About: I've been lucky to have dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, that is 50+ years of wagging tails. I know how important consistency is for keeping dogs calm, especially when they're staying somewhere new. My goal is to make their time with me feel as close to "home" as possible. Whether your dog (aka family member) wants snuggles, a cozy nap spot, playtime with my dog, or a little quiet space to themselves, I follow their lead and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m currently in between jobs, which means I’m home full‑time and able to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day/night. My home is relaxed, warm, and set up for dogs to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. I keep things safe, clean, and low‑stress, and I follow each dog’s natural rhythm — whether that’s playtime, naps, snuggles, or simply hanging out nearby. I share my home with my young male mix‑breed dog (born 12/6/24), a poodle/wire‑haired terrier mix who’s neutered, well‑behaved, and absolutely loves meeting new dog friends. He’s gentle, social, and always happy to have a buddy around, but I also make sure every visiting dog has space and downtime whenever they want it.

About: • Veterinary student • Fear Free • *pending BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification coming 05/16* • • Transparent, reliable, and attentive care backed by extensive clinical experience • I’m Jennifer, a 2nd yr veterinary student at Oregon State University with an interest in small animal medicine and feline-centered care. I have 10+ years of hands-on experience working with (primarily) dogs and cats in both shelter and clinical environments. I began volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society, where I provided daily care and enrichment for incoming and resident animals. I later worked as a veterinary assistant in a small animal general practice clinic for 4–5 years, gaining extensive experience with patient handling, client communication, and medical care in a fast-paced setting, while completing a bachelors in pre-veterinary medicine and a wildlife management certificate. To supplement my extensive academic training, I have pursued Fear Free Certification and Cat Friendly Veterinary Practitioner certification to better understand how to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in animals in the shelter and clinic environment. I carry those principles into every visit, prioritizing calm, low-stress care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and personality. In addition, I am fully bonded and insured, and I maintain independent professional coverage beyond Rover platform protections. Currently, I am progressing on completing the BLS/ALS CPR certification through the RECOVER Initiative (the evidence-based standard used in veterinary medicine) and I will officially have that achievement met on May 16th! Additionally, I am continuing to expand my Fear Free certification in the coming weeks to include a higher tier of canine/feline care and a broader range of species in general. I am comfortable administering medications through a variety of routes and have experience caring for multiple species, including dogs, cats, and backyard poultry such as chickens and turkeys. While the majority of my experience is within the small animal realm, I have additional experience with a variety of species. Providing these services are an extension of my training and long-term career in veterinary medicine. I strive to provide thoughtful, consistent care so you can feel confident that your pet is in capable hands. One of my goals is to maintain your pet’s routine, while also monitoring for subtle changes in behavior or health while you’re away. I am currently transitioning into a full-time veterinary assistant role in a clinic in Eugene, OR, but I will do my best to accommodate any services in my time outside of the clinic. Thank you for sticking around to learn about me. I’d love to meet your fur kids! I am currently a 2nd year veterinary student that has needed to take a medical deferral for a year. I plan to return to OSU CCVM to finish my doctorate degree, during the Winter 2027 term. During the month of May '26, I expect to be transitioning into a veterinary clinic job in Eugene, OR. I will do my best to accommodate all requests in the meantime and I will be transparent about any scheduling conflicts. I am hoping to spend the next year focusing on my health, continuing my veterinary learning at a pace that suits my current needs, spending time with my cats and my partner, and exploring OR. I will reliably provide updates on the status of your pets and provide immediate reports if I notice anything abnormal or medically concerning during our visit. I am always available to be contacted if there are any concerns during the services or leading up to the services. In my time off from veterinary school, I plan to pursue BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification in Portland, OR in mid May. Fingers crossed that I am able to find a class with space but I will update my profile once I have official certification shortly! How cool to have a legit medical professional as a pet/house sitter while you're away! 😎 On top of being an approved Rover sitter/covered by the Rover guarantee, I have additional insurance coverage and am bonded through an external company to simply give myself and your family peace of mind while you're away!

Pet care fits naturally into my routine because caring is what I do, whether it’s my own kids or someone’s beloved pet, I’m fully committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. In my home, pets have plenty of space to play and relax! I live in a duplex with a large, fully fenced backyard that’s perfect for safe outdoor play and exercise. I provide a clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment where animals can feel at home. Whether I’m caring for pets in my space or at a client’s home, I follow their usual routines closely; including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. My goal is to keep pets happy, healthy, and stress-free while you’re away.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs big and small for 8 years. I have some experience training puppies and adult dogs as well. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, over all take great care of their furry friends for weeks before. I have always had a love for furbabies, I always volunteered at the rescue shelters as much as I could. Im currently enrolled in college, however after class hours and in between I spend all my time taking care of my fur babies at home. I am not currently working which gives me plenty of time to play and care for your loved pups/kitties. I have a big yard and 2 playful pups to keep your furry friends company. I have a couple crates so that if needed they can have down time away from each other to ensure I can prioritize the care given to your loved ones.
About: I have taken care of family/friends dogs since I was little, I have also taken care of my own since I was a teenager. I have two puppy's one who is 3 years old who is my best friend, I also have an 1 and a half year old who is also my best friend. I love all animals. I can help train a bit with basics if need be, am very patient and caring. I am able to take on walks, to the park or just hang out if needed. I can also give baths if they need one. I understand all dogs are unique and have different needs and am willing to help. I currently work part time, Monday through Thursday. So I will have plenty of time to check in on, take on walks/ to parks and just play with your animals. I can also bring my dogs along for other dogs if you would like so they have someone to play with or just learn to be around other dogs! I can either take care of your pet in your home or in mine if needed. I do have a fenced yard and 2 dogs of my own. About: I’ve had animals of all kinds in my family since I was born. I’ve taken care of animals and helped watch and care for loved ones pets over the years. I’m currently a SAHM and looking for extra ways of generating income while doing things I love and things that are fulfilling! Very flexible and eager to help. Ready to help where is needed. I have many good references. I am trustworthy, kind, careful, communicative, and an all around animal lover! I can’t wait to meet yours.
About: I grew up with cats and dogs in my house and I had pet frogs! I previously was a pet sitter for dogs, cats, and sometimes other critters. Afternoon/evening/overnights during the week, or weekends work best for me as I do work. My job is flexible with me being in and out of the office, so with a day notice I could potentially do mornings and mid days. I am very open to respecting what the pet owner ask of me. I will happily send cute pictures throughout the visit! I am comfortable asking clarifying questions.
About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.
About: There’s nothing I love more than animals! I have had and cared for them my entire life and have years of experience walking and feeding dogs, cats, and many other animals. I am reliable and can be flexible when needed. In my free time I volunteer at Greenhill animal shelter and have lots of experience with all types of dogs and their needs. I am currently a college student and have a pretty open schedule. I am always looking for ways to help out and love surrounding myself with animals. I am a very active person and love walking, hiking, trips to the beach, or just laying around keeping them company! I have classes and work but times vary for each. I follow rules and do everything that is asked, I leave everything as I came and pick up after myself. I ensure to always ask questions to avoid problems, better safe than sorry!

About: I have had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, rodents, and even reptiles. I am currently training to become a dog groomer and I’m taking classes to get my vet tech certification. I have the experience and knowledge necessary to ensure your pets are safe, comfortable and happy with me. I am currently working part time so I have the availability to care for your animals without anything impeding my ability to keep a close eye on them. My house is a large space with a very large fenced in back yard. I have two dogs that are easy to get along with. I have animal gates I can secure if you’d prefer your pets to be separated from my two small pups. I have 3 bedrooms so I can even dedicate a room to just your animal so they have a private and comfortable space.
“Jada was sooooo amazing! Best rover experience I’ve had this far. I was an idiot and forgot to update my address and she ended up traveling to my new address without any difficulty and reassured the entire situation!! Highly highly recommend!!!”

Ruthie is a compassionate, attentive, and detail-oriented human who has a clear and natural intuit for dogs, and adores and respects them as the whole, wonderful beings that they are. “Shay was great to work with! Dennis had a great weekend and I got regular updates and pictures on how he was doing! Would definitely use her again in the future. Thanks for taking such great care of our Dennis:)”

About: I worked at a pet boarding facility for a 7 years before I moved. I am a fast learner and choose to have the pet accept me before moving on to anything else. I shadowed groomers and vets to be sure the road I was taking would assure me happiness with animals and still plenty of time with my own animals. Working with the boarding facility I learned pets are different without there parents and can act differently around them so learning their likes and dislikes personally is a must for me. I want to make sure Pets and Parents are happy with me as help. I want both parties to feel safe, happy, and well rested when staying with me. I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule. I would be able to come for an early morning and evening walk or adventure if needed. I have two dogs that are high energy. We often go to parks, take long walks, or swimming during hot days. I do have a kennel and a large vehicle for transport.
