I was very stressed out and was able to connect with Joel and Chrystal to take Pancake for an additional few days. She had a great time and I can tell because I got pictures of him with his tongue almost hanging to the floor. He must’ve instantly felt very safe with them being moved around a lot over a few days. I got pictures of him getting cuddles with kids and playing with other dogs. The nice thing was he was able just to check on the dogs, but was allowed his own space just to go and sleep when he wanted to. Came back with a huge smile on his face and completely worn out and slept for a day Their communication was great and easy and extremely responsive. They let me know everything that was going on, especially knowing how nervous I was that we had to book without a meet and greet. To top it off my train was late by three hours and they were very accommodating on the pick up time. Pancake can’t wait to go back and see them.”

About: I've taken care of pets since I was a youngster. I had a diabetic dog for years, so I'm aware of the need for medications. I LOVE dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I am an avid walker, so would love to get a good hike in with your dog/s. There is nothing better than curling up in the evening with a dog or cat to snuggle with. I'm retired so I'm willing and available to travel and stay at your house thereby relieving the stress your pets endure staying in a kennel or at other people's homes. If I will be taking care of pets for several days, I would prefer to care for the pets in your home. I currently don't have accommodations to care for pets where I live.

Since then I've been obsessed, and my co-worker has also had me catsitting for Marilyn (the white cat in my profile picture) since 2024! I currently work remotely at home, so your pets will never feel alone and their set schedules and sense of normalcy can remain in place. I have a fenced yard to allow for outside playtime and a friendly dog of my own who loves to make friends! Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I am trained in pet first aid and CPR, and I maintain a clean, secure environment to keep your pet safe and happy.

About: I've taken care of pets since I was a youngster. I had a diabetic dog for years, so I'm aware of the need for medications. I LOVE dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I am an avid walker, so would love to get a good hike in with your dog/s. There is nothing better than curling up in the evening with a dog or cat to snuggle with. I'm retired so I'm willing and available to travel and stay at your house thereby relieving the stress your pets endure staying in a kennel or at other people's homes. If I will be taking care of pets for several days, I would prefer to care for the pets in your home. I currently don't have accommodations to care for pets where I live.
About: I have a lifetime of experience working with pets including Dogs, Cats, lizards, guinea pigs, fish and little sisters ;). All ages are welcome, from the tyrannical kitten and puppy stages to the golden years of senior pets. More importantly, I am a rule follower and will provide care as detailed as instructed. My schedule is flexible as I continue my vet tech classes online. House stilling is also flexible as I have support at my dwelling for current pets. About: I have a cocker spaniel back home, whom I walked daily. During the winter I walked my neighbors dog 5 times a week for 45 minutes after school. I work from home managing social media for a local bakery in Portland, I make my own schedule. I also have practice from 6:25-8:25 daily. My dog used to bark at other dogs on walks, using a reward system I’ve trained her to stop and wait quietly when dogs pass.
About: 8 years of experience with birds, and 3 with cats! Some experience with puppies and senior dogs belonging to friends and family. I'm happy to feed, medicate and play with your pet! If it's a dog, I can take them on walks up to about a mile per walk. Past experiences with pets include owning budgies starting when I was 14 (sadly, my budgie has passed away since, but lived a long and happy life) as well as living with roommates who had cats for the past 3 years. Experience with dogs is more limited, however I do have experience with my family's senior dog from childhood as well as occasionally puppy-sitting for my in-laws. In terms of availability, I am between jobs at the moment so I am very flexible. I am available pretty much anytime but have a preference for weekdays. Will follow any special instructions, no matter how convoluted! My roomate's cat is very ritualistic with her morning routine, so I get it. During those days, I am available for overnight stays and can complete potty breaks and daily care before work (around 6:00 AM), during my lunch break (approximately 12:00–1:00 PM), and after work (around 8:00 PM). water is always available and refreshed regularly. I am highly accustomed to following structured feeding and medication schedules. You can trust that your pet's meals and medications will be given on time following your instructions! I enjoy providing plenty of affection and attention to pets who seek it. Whether your dog loves to be out playing fetch or prefers a little more relaxing, I adjust my care to their individual personality and comfort level. Communication is a priority for me. I typically provide photo and text updates every 1–2 hours so you can stay updated on your pet while you're away. If you prefer fewer updates, I am happy to accommodate your preferences.
About: I have experience with all sorts of animals. I have worked with dogs and cats and most other household pets including snakes and birds. I have also worked with horses and most livestock farm animals. I make a daily roster of animals to care for and schedule my time accordingly. I care for my animals first always and help my community with animal care needs. I have a large fenced yard with room to run. I have 2 female dogs that are well trained and managed. The smaller mutt is elderly (11) and has a room of her own where she will put herself as needed. My big girl Sally, the Bernese is friendly to all animals large or small and really the very best calm neutral dog I have ever known.

“Joel and Crystal are lifesavers. While I was out of state at a conference my Dog center unfortunately canceled halfway through the booking. I was very stressed out and was able to connect with Joel and Chrystal to take Pancake for an additional few days. She had a great time and I can tell because I got pictures of him with his tongue almost hanging to the floor. He must’ve instantly felt very safe with them being moved around a lot over a few days. I got pictures of him getting cuddles with kids and playing with other dogs. The nice thing was he was able just to check on the dogs, but was allowed his own space just to go and sleep when he wanted to. Came back with a huge smile on his face and completely worn out and slept for a day Their communication was great and easy and extremely responsive. They let me know everything that was going on, especially knowing how nervous I was that we had to book without a meet and greet. To top it off my train was late by three hours and they were very accommodating on the pick up time. Pancake can’t wait to go back and see them.”
