I adopted My Own Cat promptly upon turning 18 (in 2002); Khaki was with me for 18 years, outliving his adopted brother Leo (my sister’s cat), who ended up living with me as well. “Blessed finally someone I can trust Eileen and Rich found me on Rover. They were looking for a sitter for there pup as their beloved long time sitter had moved. Rich came to my place with piglet for meet and greet with my 3 smalls . He shared with me how much anxiety he was having trying to find the exact right fit for piglet. I have 3 dogs. Doyle is my fear dog (He has come ALONG ways in 5 short years. He immediately ran up to Rich and put his feet on his legs so he could pet him. They watched the pack for me one day and it was the first time I had ever left Doyle with anyone and even tho I was a little nervous that Doyle would try to escape to come find me I knew they would be watching him like a hawk. About: I’ve been rescuing animals for over 22 years-I’ve cared for big, slobbery Rottweilers to tiny, judgmental cats, fish who pretend not to notice me, and guinea pigs that somehow eat like linebackers. I’ve handled rabbits with attitude, a special needs Yorkie who runs the house, and our Texas rescue Lucy—who I’m pretty sure thinks she rescued me. I have a designated bedroom with a ring camera just for my furry friends! We can keep the pets isolated in their own space the entire time, or they can have free roaming of the house. Options for those pets who need less sensory and more quiet and privacy. I work full-time at a hospital Monday through Friday, so my availability for more hands-on, all-day care is best on weekends. During the week, I’m still happy to offer overnight stays, I just like to mention that-because on weekdays, there may be up to an eight-hour stretch without potty breaks while I’m at work. I live in a fantastic walking neighborhood and can happily meet you in yours or bring them to mine. Can never get too much exercise in! Plus, my big fully fenced in yard is at their disposal.

About: Hi! I’m River. I was raised with dogs and cats (and birds and turtles and fish) as a child, and as an adult I have raised my own from puppyhood/kittenhood through their senior years. I am comfortable with puppy potty training, litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten/puppy energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. (I can even do baths with the right set-up, and advanced notice.) I typically like to do a little light housekeeping anywhere I stay; I live by the motto of “leave it better than you found it.” I also have a wide range of experience and am comfortable caring for various other pets that might need tending while you’re out. In general I love all animals; when asked if I am “a dog person or a cat person,” I say, “yes.” I have done lots of pet-sitting for friends and family (including fostering for a year, to help a friend of a friend while she finished school) and I love meeting and getting to know new animal friends. I am finally joining Rover at the recommendation of many friends and family members who think caring for people’s pets is an excellent job for me. About: I've taken care of dogs through all stages of life. I love engaging dogs and learn what they love most. I have a 5 year old blue heeler that I've taught over 15 commands. About: Hi yall! I grew up on a farm with my two parents who are vets. I have experience with rats, mice, horses and bunnies as well as dogs and cats. I work Saturdays and Sundays from 8-2pm, but other than that I have an open schedule. I tend to wake up around 8 or 9 am and can tend to the pet until around 10 when I go to sleep.
