I was very stressed out and was able to connect with Joel and Chrystal to take Pancake for an additional few days. She had a great time and I can tell because I got pictures of him with his tongue almost hanging to the floor. He must’ve instantly felt very safe with them being moved around a lot over a few days. I got pictures of him getting cuddles with kids and playing with other dogs. The nice thing was he was able just to check on the dogs, but was allowed his own space just to go and sleep when he wanted to. Came back with a huge smile on his face and completely worn out and slept for a day Their communication was great and easy and extremely responsive. They let me know everything that was going on, especially knowing how nervous I was that we had to book without a meet and greet. To top it off my train was late by three hours and they were very accommodating on the pick up time. Pancake can’t wait to go back and see them.”

About: I was raised in a dog and cat household and loved taking care of them. For the brief time in my adulthood that I did not have a pet, I would dog/cat sit for a various families often. I am fond of elderly dogs/cats and have taken care a few (including giving medications, shots, cooking specific diets, etc). I am also comfortable feeding farm animals such as horses and mules. I work full-time from my home allowing flexible time to play and care for animals. My outings are usually quick errands around town so my pets get a lot of dog mom time! I am available to do longer stays given that I work remote and love making pets feel safe and comfortable whilst their owners are away. About: My family has owned cats since I was a child. For any family or friends I would take their dogs out for walks, play time, and even stayed overnight with them if needed! I do have professional experience from doggy daycare for 2 years which included play time, walks, baths + grooms, nap times, feeding schedules and medications, boarding and much more! I have personal experience training dogs as well, patience is key. I have even trained my own kitties to do tricks! I work full time but I am able to leave early almost every day and then I do something else to fill in the rest of the day. I am available late afternoon-night. The days I can pet sit are after and before work Saturday-Tuesday. My cats are all inside cats. Two need lot of attention and I give them as much cuddles as I can and loves. The other two also need a lot of love but they are shy so I always make sure they are comfortable before handling them. With dogs, I always make sure I’m doing exactly what I’m told by the owners. I’m a very patient person as well, so if a pet is shy or nervous I always stay calm, never push them, and I let them come to me on their own time so I can build the trust.

About: I worked at a pet boarding facility for a 7 years before I moved. I am a fast learner and choose to have the pet accept me before moving on to anything else. I shadowed groomers and vets to be sure the road I was taking would assure me happiness with animals and still plenty of time with my own animals. Working with the boarding facility I learned pets are different without there parents and can act differently around them so learning their likes and dislikes personally is a must for me. I want to make sure Pets and Parents are happy with me as help. I want both parties to feel safe, happy, and well rested when staying with me. I am currently transitioning into a full-time veterinary assistant role in a clinic in Eugene, OR, but I will do my best to accommodate any services in my time outside of the clinic. I am hoping to spend the next year focusing on my health, continuing my veterinary learning at a pace that suits my current needs, spending time with my cats and my partner, and exploring OR. I will reliably provide updates on the status of your pets and provide immediate reports if I notice anything abnormal or medically concerning during our visit. In my time off from veterinary school, I plan to pursue BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification in Portland, OR in mid May. Fingers crossed that I am able to find a class with space but I will update my profile once I have official certification shortly! About: All my life I’ve been obsessed with dogs 🐶 When I was finishing up nursing school, I needed to find some part time work to help make ends meet. I found a job as a kennel technician at a commercial dog boarding facility - where I mostly cleaned up to 36 dogs daily messes and gave them social enrichment. I quickly jumped up the short ladder of management and took over as CEO right around my first year mark of employment. I have cared for hundreds, possibly a thousand plus dogs in the last half of my entire lifetime. I’ve worked hard to help dogs and owners alike understand eachother better - communication often needs no words. I specialize in “project pups”, socialization and reactivity. I’ve taken care of newborn puppies to teenage obedience school dropouts - through the medically fragile & elderly pooches on palliative care & absolutely everything in between. I’ve worked in a rescue as an adoption coordinator and had the extreme pleasure of helping people and pooches find their forever spaces together. Along with rescuing over a dozen dogs of my own over the years & nursing several back to health from horrific conditions. Dogs are my passion - simple as that. Nothing makes me happier than helping a dog & owner relationship thrive. I am a stay at home mom, my boys are 2 & 3 years old. They’ve been raised around dogs & already have learned a healthy respect for their space. I am hyper vigilant & always err on the extreme side of caution for everyone’s safety - especially when it comes to those tricky resources. Other than weekly appointments on Mondays - we have a very flexible and open schedule. Our yard is fully fenced with 6 foot - reinforced wood fencing. Gates are double locked to keep toddlers from opening them - dogs too. I have a 10 year old spayed female border collie that I picked from her litter at 3 weeks old. She’s my right hand gal and socially bulletproof when it comes to hanging out with her furry friends. I often used her as the “Ice Breaker” dog when I ran the boarding facility - meaning she did all the temperament testing for any newly boarded dogs we were socially unsure about. We have multiple baby gates, and crate option for separation of space. A dog door built into our back door leading into our fully fenced, toddlerized but maintained, grassy residential yard on a quarter acre. We live in a very quiet tiny town on an even quieter little street, perfect for safely regulated walks and training opportunities.

I follow each dog’s routine closely and am comfortable managing large breeds, working breeds, and higher-energy personalities. Your dog’s physical safety and emotional comfort are my top priorities.
About: I have a high drive working German Shepherds, and husky. I have always been full of energy and taking care of crackhead dogs give me a lot of patience, so puppies and active dogs are my favorite and specialty! And I've been bitten and scratched enough times, it almost tickles... Almost During hot months my dogs are given all attention in the evening/at night and during cold months my dogs are given all attention in the afternoon so there is a period of time where I can help take care of yours outside of pet care and work! I will make sure to follow strict instructions and be very attentive and watchful of your pup! My own dogs schedule consist of playing, walking, training, cuddling, feeding and potty every 4-6 hours! And I would love to treat your pet with the same amount of needs whenever you feel you can't! No dog left behind!
About: Animal care has been a part of my whole life. I've always had a pet, whether they were cats or dogs. No matter the size, age, or breed of the pet, I understand to respect their boundaries and be mindful of their safety. Spoiling and playing with pets is the easiest task on the planet. I'm a part-time college instructor. My hours are extremely flexible, so I can happily take a break from grading to pop in for a pet. I first and foremost will defer to the owner's instructions and requests. For pop in care, I will check basic needs first: food/water/litter box/potty breaks. Then comes socializing or any other request from the owner. Weather permitting, I like to take dogs out for fetch, chase, tug-a-war, or casual walks. What we do is sometimes determined by the breed of dog. For cats, I understand that play is up to them. I'm happy to engage in any way they prefer. My own cat is a fiend for a string.
About: I bond easily with cats and dogs. I am gentle, patient and give 100% to all the fur babies in my care. I enjoy entertaining and caring for these special critters. While with me, I am observant and provide the kind of interaction the pet wants. This could be anything from a massage to hiking and play at a beach with a variety of toys. About: I have help my mom out a lot when she was dog sitting, but I have also been watching dogs on my own for about a year now. I'll be able to sit pretty much whenever but I am still in high school so I may have to leave for a few hours but I can stop by during lunch and I'm always down for staying overnight. Always making sure there fed on time, let outside very frequently to go potty, and walks everyday for at least half an hour, weather it be around the neighborhood or at a dog park.
About: I have worked at a boarding facility for three years. I currently work at an animal emergency facility and have been here for 2 years. I love animals and caring for them is my calling. I am well trained in dealing with emergency, animal nutrition, can trim nails and do basic grooming of pets as well! I am very flexible and am able to juggling my responsibility as needed.
