“Manisha and her family took such good care of Kylo, our 3 and a half months old aussiedoodle that he actually is missing them after returning home after 3 weeks stay. Manisha sent plenty of pictures of Kylo during the entire stay and helped us stay connected to him. Kylo received lots of hugs, kisses and family fun times from Manisha and her family. She is a very thoughtful caretaker and even bought a whole bag of dog food to send home with him after the food we sent with him nearly finished. About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

(2 dogs 3 cats) I have been house sitting my pets for a few years while my parents go out of town, and have also helped a few family friends with their pets. My professional experience includes working as an adoption counselor for the Humane Society of Utah (where I walked and cared for many different breeds, temperaments, sizes and ages of dogs), raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, volunteering for Animal Aid shelter here in Portland, and petsitting and dog-walking for family and friends. I'm a mom doing part-time homeschooling and freelance work, which gives me a lot of flexibility to work around your schedule. I'm available for morning, midday, or afternoon dog walks. Your pet's safety and your home's security are my top priorities. I strictly follow access instructions, maintain complete control on walks, and double-check every lock before leaving. I provide clear communication and photo updates so that we're always on the same page.
About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: I've been dog sitting for friends and family for over 7 years. I love dogs and love going on walks with them! I have experience with nervous dogs and higher energy dogs, I've dog-sat rescues, 1-year-olds with their bouncing off the walls, and seniors. I help my mom with in-home child care during the week from Monday to Thursday but I have free time outside of that. I usually can start the day by 7am but will start moving earlier if the dog needs it! I have a smaller fenced backyard with some dog neighbors. We have some guinea pigs in our home but they're upstairs in an elevated cage with a gate at the bottom of the stairs. The neighborhood has a variety of routes I can go on of different lengths to fit your dog's needs.

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs and love to be around them. I am comfortable walking, boarding or pet sitting for large dogs, untrained dogs and reactive dogs. I am working just part time so am available sat-mon all day and just Tues-Friday I am available after 3:00. My husband starts work at noon so it is only 3 hours without someone home. (He is also a huge dog lover and is happy to meet anyone if that is uncomfortable to you). We love to board dogs because they get to come on adventures with us, we have met Santa, hiked waterfalls and so many other fun activities for pups. “Manisha and her family took such good care of Kylo, our 3 and a half months old aussiedoodle that he actually is missing them after returning home after 3 weeks stay. Manisha sent plenty of pictures of Kylo during the entire stay and helped us stay connected to him. Kylo received lots of hugs, kisses and family fun times from Manisha and her family. She is a very thoughtful caretaker and even bought a whole bag of dog food to send home with him after the food we sent with him nearly finished.
