About: Hi there! My name is Vickie and I have over 40 years in the Pet Industry. My pet career started in the pet department at Walmart (when they still had live pets). I have an Animal Science degree and was a Vet Tech for 9 years. I have experience as a vet clinic and boarding manager . About: I have volunteered for FADAR cat rescue for 6 years now, caring for cats of all ages and sizes. My childhood cat had diabetes and my family’s senior German Shepherd has severe arthritis. I am used to administering medications as well as certain injections. I often take care of my mom’s senior German Shepherd, Doberman, and younger German Shepherd who is high energy. I also had a Yorkie growing up. I am comfortable and excited to be around any breed or size of dog. I am currently just driving for doordash and similar establishments so I am very flexible. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a little kid, and they’ve always been under the most perfect love and care for so long. I also always make sure they are always happy and beyond. Usually I like to spend time with them and have fun with them a lot, such as playing with them. Usually I’m good with dogs, even when approaching them. It’s very important I understand more about the dog though so I can be friendly with it. I have also done a lot of dog-sitting for my friends who have dogs and cats, and usually their dogs and cats would love me and feel comfortable around me. I’ve also watched over my mom’s friend’s dogs a lot throughout my teenaged years, and they would always end up being just fine and happy! I’d play with them and give them the love and affection they deserve. I’m currently a graduated student from high school who is going to Tulsa Community College for musical theatre and acting after the summer ends, while I also do work a part time job at a restaurant. But I’ll definitely be free a lot to spend time with a dog and play with them and watch them, or even walk them! I always enjoy hanging around dogs and even getting the chance to spend time with one and make one happy. Never will it ever become a problem for me to watch over one at any days of the week. And if it does that will be a rare occasion, but it always important I’m given a week or 2 week notice! (Preferably 2 week notice) then I will definitely be more free. I take good care of my 4 cats in my home, by spending time with them, feeding them, playing with them, giving them love and affection, as well. I’ve also taken good care of my 2 dogs throughout most of my life before they passed away recently. I’d always play with them, make sure they stayed well fed, and I always spent a lot of time with them, making sure they’re fine. I would also dog-sit my friends’s dogs and my mom’s friend’s 2 dogs a lot as a teenager growing up, which I still sometimes do to this day. Even when not dog-sitting, at my friends’s house I’d always come off as friendly and nurturing to their cats and/or dogs a lot, and it would always work usually. But as long as the owners of the other cats or dogs tell me how they’re like and how they take to new people approaching them, I’ll be just fine and be fully capable of approaching them well.

Also, their dog Mauve is super sweet and makes the perfect companion for dogs who are away from home. He seemed to have a great time playing and snuggling with her! While we were traveling, we were grateful that he was in good hands and we could just be present in the moment without worrying too much about him. If we ever need to travel without him again, we will definitely be using Sonia!”

It was honestly very comforting as I could tell she wasn’t in it for the “money” she genuinely loves dogs! She even went above and beyond and brushed her for me to help that summer coat come in!
