About: I’ve owned cats and dogs over the years. My family raised kittens for years when I was in high-school. I also had a dog of my own for 15 years. I’m always the first to volunteer to care for friends and family members pets when they are out of town or need extra help walking them during the work week. I am currently pet free and miss having furry friends around! I work evenings so I have plenty of time during the day to walk pets and take them on adventures! I’m happy to house sit or keep pets overnight as well, as long as they can be left for 4-6 hours in the evening! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I have a dog park at my apartment complex, and take lots of daily walks as well. In your home, I make every effort to keep your pet on their normal schedule, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of affection. If I do have to leave for an errand I tend to separate the dogs in bedrooms and/or crates. I have a large fenced yard (over half an acre) with plenty of room for your pup to run and play. About: Grew up with dogs. Haven’t had as many dogs as cats as they required more attention than cats and Rover didn’t exist when I was younger. I had 3 dogs in my young adult life over the course of 30 years. Currently we have a 9 year old pittie rescue and she is well cared for. I’m recently retired so my schedule is very flexible. Rover has made it possible for us to travel with peace of mind that our pets would be cared for. Pet care fits really well into my routine. I’m a full-time software engineer working a hybrid schedule with flexible hours (10 AM–3 PM). I’m typically out of the house on Mondays and Tuesdays, work from home the rest of the weekdays, and I’m completely off on weekends. My schedule is also flexible enough that I can adjust days if needed to match your pup’s needs. On the days I’m home, I have plenty of time for walks, play, and feeding, and I’m usually happy to have a dog keep me company while I work.
