About: I've been a dog person for as long as I can remember, with over 13 years of hands-on experience covering walks, cuddles, vet visits, and everything in between. I recently lost my beloved pup to cancer, so I know firsthand what it means to love a dog deeply and care for them through every stage of life. I'm experienced with senior dogs and administering medication, and welcome large breeds . My partner Max is also home to help, so your pup is always in good hands. I only host one household at a time and am committed to giving your dog my full attention. Right now we have a pet-free home and will give your pup gets all of our attention. Your dog will be treated like a member of the family from the moment they arrive. Fri-Mon there is someone home at all times, so potty breaks can be kept to whatever schedule your dog requires. We don't often host midweek, but if we do, Tue-Thu we are able to limit alone time to approximately 4-5 hrs. I have a securely fenced yard for outdoor play and potty breaks, and will be present with you dog as long as they are outside (no leaving them alone despite the fence). Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in the bed. I'll stick to whatever routine works best for your pet, including feeding schedules, medication, and any special needs. I'm experienced with senior dogs and large breeds, and I'm happy to share regular updates and photos so you always know how your pup is doing.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats since I was a child. I have helped my girlfriend train our current dog which is a bernedoodle. He knows how to sit, shake, go to his pillow, and he is currently learning to roll over. I currently have a Doberman at my parents house that I help take care of while I am home. I am currently a dental student at Ohio state and I am in school from 7:30-4:00 daily but the weekends I am free. Some days I will finish before 4:00 but that depends on the week. I feed and water my current dogs and cats every morning and every evening. They get treats throughout the day when they exhibit good behavior and listening skills so they know that is a positive thing to keep doing it.

I would love to nurture and spoil your pets as I do my own. This includes endless amounts of love, plenty of play time and frequent walks, and potty breaks. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I’m patient, dependable, attentive to routines, and skilled at recognizing behavioral changes and individual needs. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their dogs by feeding them, taking them on walks, providing companionship, administering basic medications when instructed, and making sure they feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I have experience providing both in-home pet sitting and boarding dogs in my own home. Before transitioning into the corporate world, I partnered with a friend who owned a successful dog-sitting business, where I cared for pets for approximately six years. During that time, I gained experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, personalities, and care needs. I’m now excited to return to pet care because it’s something I truly enjoy. “Mary was amazing. My dog Thyon is a sweet but skittish boy. Since making a big move from the country to the city, he has suffered from anxiety which he needed to be medicated for. I tried traditional boarding facilities however they were not a good fit. There were too many loud noises and he always came home stressed and nervous. Mary provided a wonderful environment. Not only was he able to quickly adapt and feel comfortable, but he seemed to thrived there. He was running in the yard with her dog Elle. Which he has not done since we moved months ago. I have finally found a place where I am comfortable to leave my boy and know he’s being well cared for. Thanks Mary!”

“We left our labradoodle with Rene during our week vacation. We loved receiving her pics and updates! Murphy was very well taken care of. I left notes about his usual day at home and she was happy to accommodate those things so he was a happy and comfortable guy. Murphy was just another family member at Rene’s house that week and I would be at ease leaving him again. She has a great set up for the dogs to enjoy the outside. When I was at their house dropping him off and picking him up, I could tell this was an animal loving family because they were all there smiling and willing to help the “move in” and adjustment of Murphy being away from home. 😊”
