About: I have had cats and dogs of every kind since I was a baby. I started volunteering at a humane society and loved working with animals. Since graduating college, I have been working in the animal field for over a year now. I dog sit a friends house that has multiple animals that take different medications and specialized diets. My friends and family have relied on me to walk and feed their dogs during their days at work. I work 4 days during the week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. (10 hour shifts). I consistently have Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday off. I am always willing to stop before and after my work days as well. I take my dogs to parks or in open fields in the woods and let them run freely while playing with them. I take other dogs on long walks and play with them in the yard. Sometimes will take them to get a pup cup (if they like car rides and have no stomach issues). I always ask owners what their pets love the most, whether it is walks, playing fetch or enjoying a favorite snack!

“Kristen came in clutch! We made a last-minute decision to extend our vacation and booked an Airbnb in the small town of Cadiz where sitter selection was sparse. Kristen responded to my request immediately and was willing to drive 30 minutes after work to take care of Bogey. The visit was flawless, she followed directions perfectly, and we returned to a happy dog. His bully looks were no issue for her either. I also appreciated the pics she sent. We felt comfortable leaving his care in her hands and would do so again. Maybe with more than 7 hours notice next time ?”

If it weren’t for Covid-19, I’d still be working as a Correctional Officer. I’m married to my best friend who has given me the best gift of all, a stepdaughter who is 8 years old. We have baby steps to get to our goals and I believe the same for animals, you take baby steps and earn their trust and the rest will come. We have one dog, he is a cocker spaniel. His name is Charlie and he is about 6 years old. I’ve had him since he was just 7 weeks old, he is my whole world and the love/bond we share is undeniable and unbreakable. I currently only work about two hours every day performing Military Funeral Honors. Times vary but typically the job begins around 11am and lasts 30 minutes after which I drive home. Our family includes three small pugs and two grade school children. Crating pets or having potty trained pets sleep in our room is an option.
