About: I've had dogs for the majority of my life. Over the past 20 years I've owned a cocker spaniel and 2 malshi. At one point I bread my Malshis and Mom had 5 beautiful puppies who I successfully placed in loving homes. I currently have one malshi who I absolutely adore. I work fully remote from anywhere with cellular coverage or WiFi and only have rare times when I absolutely have to be in meetings so I have a lot of flexibility to make time for other things. About: From a young age, I’ve always had a soft spot for animals. I still remember the first time I saw a butterfly with a broken wing. Me and my siblings managed to create a makeshift prosthetic wing using leaves and stems. This compassion for helping others still lives with me today. Over the years I’ve taken care of my own family pets along with vulnerable animals my sister picked up along the road. When it comes to taking care of animals or even helping you out you can always rely on me. I’m currently a student and involved in sports but my school days end pretty early leaving me some extra time, I’m also free on tuesdays Although my yard is not fenced I’m surrounded by open fields trees and trails along with a state park really close, Im also willing to accommodate to any environment that’d be best suited for potential furry friends.
“Cherokee and Lucy, my two large dogs, have stayed with Wendy multiple times in the past when I lived in SEO. This past trip, my husband and I drove 2 hours out of our way from Detroit to the Smokey Mountains-- just so our dogs could be with Wendy! They hadn't seen Wendy in almost three years and Cherokee scratched at her door to get in! Wendy is so thoughtful, clearly caring of our dogs, and overall a wonderful person to have in your corner. We will continue to book Wendy in the future, as her drop-off and pick-up are seamless, she is obviously quite experienced, is such a joy to see, and sends me the best updates occasionally through the stay-- always making me smile! “I can’t say enough good things about Nicolette. She’s sweet and compassionate. She took care of my little Princess like she was her own. I know she gave her lots of love and attention and cuddle time. Princess gets two eye creams twice a day and Nicolette handled that with no problem. She gave me daily reports about how Princess was doing and she sent lots of pictures. I felt completely comfortable with Nicolette and I know she took wonderful care of my fur baby. Most of my days are very flexible and I am open to new short and long term clients! On Visits: I’m down stop in and visit your dog, or take them out on a walk in the yard or neighborhood. Feeding, playing, walking, trick training, giving medicine, and having hang time are all in my comfort zone. I can follow specific directions and trust my gut instincts. I love all dogs, big and small. They all have different personalities and I like to take my time to learn a dog and their preferences and tendencies. I always bring a treat with me on meet and greets if allowed, and I understand dog behavior enough to interpret their mood. For Dog Boarding: At my house, we have baby gates to separate the floors of the house, the cat stays upstairs most of the time. I like to have dogs meet on leashes or through a gate, I never leave unfamiliar dogs alone together, and my house is very dog friendly, with hardwood and linoleum and not much floor clutter. Outside, my dog is off leash trained (I know I am spoiled), but all other dogs I keep on a leash if we are outside or on an 100ft rope when we take walks through the field.
