About: I’ve been involved with dog rescue for many years. I worked with virtually every type of dog there is. From shy, timid to very high energy. I’ve had dogs that had aggression issues. I worked with dogs on leash training, housebreaking, and socialization. I am retired. I have nothing but time on my hands! I volunteer Thursday mornings at an equine therapy barn. But I will still have time to take care of animals on Thursdays. I am open to caring for dogs in my home. But! They have to be dog and cat friendly. I would prefer not to have younger dogs, only because my dogs are older and don’t like young dogs, jumping all over them. My dogs are very dog friendly though. My cats are very dog friendly. “We've boarded 4Xs with Amanda and can't say enough good things: amazing family environment, responsive to messages, dependable. This last time we left our 2yo German Shepherd and 7 month old puppy with Amanda for 2.5 weeks. It was a long time for us, but both dogs were healthy and happy. Unfortunately my puppy isn't 100% housebroken yet but he and his crate/bedding were clean and well taken care of. I could tell they had plenty of exercise and good stimulation. Already going to book her for a fifth time.”
