About: I am a single mom with 20 year old daughter who is away at college. I have a golden retriever who loves to have dog friends visit. Your pet will get the same TLC as my own dog. They will be a part of our family while they are with us. I have a fenced in yard, making it easy for your pet to be safe and get some exercise too. I have been watching dogs in my home for about 25 years. I work from home Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and I am gone on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from about 10-4, so I am almost always home aside from the occasional errands. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, I can always run home in the middle of the day if a potty break is needed. Accidents are ok too. Mine has had a few over the years. Your dog will never be in trouble if this happens. You won’t have to worry about your dogs when they are with me. They will be treated like family. I work from home, so your pets will rarely be left alone. When they are, it is just for brief periods for when I running errands. I have a fenced in yard and w very friendly fur baby of my own. I can let them out frequently and always supervise outside even though my yard is fenced. I am able to feed them if they are here during meal time. I will just need to know if your dog is food possessive so I can make sure they eat separately from my dog. Unfortunately I can’t leave your dogs food down throughout the day because my dog will eat it.

I love dogs and have experience working with them both small and large, ranging in ages from puppy to elderly. As a veterinary technician, I play the nurse role of the veterinary team. While I do personalize my schedule to fit your pet specifically, my typical day is scheduled like this and changed as needed, just to give you a better idea of your pet's time with me: When I arrive, I always spend time making sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and has everything they need. When staying with them overnight, I will keep them company until morning, make sure they have everything they need and get some pets or playtime in, then I will leave as needed to tend to any other appointments, making sure to return to check-in and spend time with them at minimum every 3-4 hours, unless more frequently is needed. Whether you just need a daily check in and play time for your cat while you're away, or if you need someone to take your pup out every couple of hours along with walks and lots of play time, or even if you have an older pup who can't really spend time alone at all, we can definitely make a plan to suit your family purrr-fectly. Your pet's safety is always my top priority. Whether at home, in the car, at the vet, out for a walk, or at the park, I am always extremely diligent to make sure your pet stays safe and sound. I always use doggy seatbelts or enclosures when driving, reflective strips and flashlights at night, ramps and manual assistance for mobility-challenged pups, predator-deterrent to protect them from harm, and vet-approved chews or boredom busters to make sure your pup is happier and healthier when you arrive back home. Out of an abundance of caution, I typically do not have pets I'm watching interact with other pets I'm unfamiliar with (ie: no communal dog parks). In the case that anything does happen while I am with them, I am trained on the safest and most effective way to stop a dog fight, as well as being trained in CPR, emergency triage and response, and homeostatic stabilization. I also always have a list of the nearest emergency hospitals on hand should they ever be needed. I strive to follow all pet-parent's wants and needs for their pets, including whatever training or rules you may have for your pet while they are in my care (crating, treats, toys, etc).
