She took time to ask questions and fill us in on their process of handling a guest dog in their home. Her home is beautiful (I said I wanted to take his place being boarded there lol), it looks like actual doggy heaven. She sent videos and pictures that made our hearts so happy while out of town, and we could visually see how great she treated our little guy (who can be difficult to say the least). I have worked with hundreds of owners over the last 5 years, helping them solve behavior issues from barking to pulling and stealing food off the table. Before that, I was a reptile hobbyist who bred Tokay Geckos, believe it or not (they're called the pitbulls of the gecko world because they bite and don't let go)! So hard-to-love animals are my bread and butter. As a behavior specialist and a certified trainer, I know how to act around any dog. Yes, even the really ornery ones. I am patient, I never yell, and if you have a doggie cam, you might catch some of the entertaining antics I pull to keep your dog safe and happy. I use the LIMA model - Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive. What this means is, I will never force your animal to do something they don't want to do. My goal is to build trust so that your animal will be able to adapt easily without you there and will learn to trust other humans as well. Because I am a behavior specialist, I know what *NOT* to do, so that you don't come back to a dog that was worse off than when you left! Oh, and I'm also an artist, so a sketch or portrait of your dog is not off the table! I love drawing pictures for my clients. When we got married, we adopted a greyhound racer. We had him for 7 years and lost him unfortunately due to cancer. About: I’m a recent college graduate who loves dogs even more than people! I recently lost my puppy due to bone cancer he developed early on in his life. I’ve been around big and small dogs almost my entire life and would love to get to interact with more puppies (I always call dogs puppies because I see all dogs as puppies lol). Since I was a kid I’ve always felt I’ve had a deep connection to dogs and have always been able to understand what they need and want. Whether the dogs need a bath or need to go on a walk every hour on the hour I’m up for the commitment. I work from home so I can essentially work from home anywhere as long as there is wifi available. I would like to begin with 2 days a week and if I feel the schedule and chemistry is right I could increase the days. I’m a very big cuddled especially with dogs so I would mostly sit on a couch or table and keep an eye on the pet while I work and if there’s a communicative sign that they need to go outside I will take them right out. About: I’ve had a fur companion all of my life! I’ve successfully raised and trained five dogs from puppies and I have experience with rescue pups who may not feel entirely comfortable in their new environment. I’ve experienced small and large breeds alike, with my current pup being a King Cavalier Spaniel. Goose’s cousins who we see weekly are two Golden retrievers and one rescue mix. I’m able to be flexible or rigid when it comes to your pets schedule, and am knowledgeable in special diets, fresh pet food, administering meds if needed. I have the luxury of working from home and creating my own schedule which makes my days very flexible! I currently can accept pets for boarding, play dates or walks Sunday through Thursday, 9:30am to 10pm. My dog is allowed to be on all furniture and sleep in the bed and your pet would be permitted to as well if that is your preference! Goose and I take several walks a day and love to take day trips to various area dog parks and hiking trails or enjoy a lazy afternoon on the couch.

I got hurt at work, and I’m unable to return. I am available 24/7 now. I have plenty of time to give ALL of my time to furbabies now. I have a full time job working midnights. I get off at 7am, but don’t usually go to sleep till around 10am. I do not work Friday nights. My part time job is just Mon., we’d., and Fri, from 9am to 1pm. I have every other weekend off. I always put fur babies first in my home. I play with them as often as I can. They are allowed on the furniture and bed. No matter what I am doing, I will stop to take them out, or play with them. I DO NOT give for babies ppl food, their little digestive system mite not be able to handle it. If there is something extra that you say they need, and you don’t have, I will buy it for them. I remove any and everything off the floors, so they cannot get in it. If there is a special diet that they have, I will just need written instructions on how to prepare it.

During that time,I learned how to give oral medications and instill eye drops. Safety was a main priority. My house looked like an obstacle course, with cushions and pillows around anything he could run into, baby gates at the stairs, etc,but it was all for the love of my dear Comet. I have every weekend off. I could easily have your dog at my home for the day or do drop in visits and walks after 3:30. If I do services at my home, I have a big back yard,where I will have a fenced in play area so your dog can play freely. I also have a large back deck that can be enclosed with baby gates. I have a 4 year old male Maltese Yorkie, I love spending time outside with him, especially in the summer months, so that is most likely where we would be. There is an umbrella on the deck and a large tree that provides plenty of shade. I also have a baby pool that is always filled with fresh water,so they will be able to take a dip to cool off or play ,along with a sprinkler that my dog loves to play in. There is also a long gravel driveway next door to me that leads to a farm that I can take your dogs for walks on. My home is clutter free and smoke free. Nothing is out that my dog could get into and potentially cause harm. For dog walking, I ask that your dog has a harness and a reliable leash. There are a few places that I take my dog for walks. Those include, Mosquito Lake, Buhl Park , a development that my parents live in and a development my boyfriends mother lives in. I am very familiar with all of these locations. Mosquito Lake also has a dog park that I could take your dog to ,if you would like. If there is an area your dog is familiar with and has been to or if you live in a development , I would be more than happy to walk them there. I stay alert and always stay aware of my surroundings. During transportation to and from anywhere, I have a backseat barrier in my car. I am all about keeping my dog and others pets safe, so whatever I can do to achieve that is what I will do. For drop in visits, I ask for details about your pets needs and what needs to be done. During my visits I will treat your fur babies as if they were my own. I will spend time with them and give them the attention they need before I leave.
About: Hello my name is Kerri, I have grown up with animals most of my life, I've dealt with animals in many different sizes, I currently have 3 dogs and 6 cats. I do have experience walking dogs, bathing them, as well as bathing cats. I volunteer at Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, I have been volunteering here for past few months. I'm currently getting my certification for Interior Designer, I'm normally working on a flexible schedule. I don't take any pets on Sundays. I will make sure that any pet in my care is getting their daily needs, also if there is any certain task that needs to be done like dishes or small things that can make your day easier. About: I have taken care and loved animals for as long as I can remember walking. Young, old, on a diet? I can do it all! I am a full time student at Youngstown State University. I currently am on summer break, and free about all week except for weekends. There is lots of space for pets to run on our property, and I will be attentive at all times! I have watched dogs at others houses for years, along with taking care of my own animals at home! I have administered medication intake for animals, followed strict diets, and made sure they all get their energy out! About: I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't have pets. I truly love caring for pets of all kinds. Dogs, cats, fish, etc... My schedule is extremely flexible, so I'm able to fit into whatever time slot is needed to best care for your pet, and keep them on a schedule. I feel the best way to care for pets is to earn their trust. It's never a good idea to force yourself on a pet, but to read their body language and take it from there.
About: I grew up on a farm with a lot of animals, so I have been able to tend to animals both old and young, large and small my whole life. When I was 15, I started my own business back home dog watching nearly every weekend through highschool. I am currently taking classes during the week, which will take up no more than 3 hours of my time during the day. Whatever instruction you give me, I will make it work. I love cuddles from pets and will always stick to their schedule. I love going for walks, taking them for car rides and making sure they don’t just lay around all day. If allowed, I like to take dogs for car rides and to go for walks in various places (I.e. the beach, parks, etc.) For higher energy pets, I make sure to take them on longer walks, have more play time, and ensure to get some energy out if I have to leave for a small amount of time.

About: I grew up around cats, dogs, horses, and bunnies and have taken care of my friends and family's pets on and off for the past few years. I also have 4 pets of my own that I love so much!! I am definitely an animal person and love playing and snuggling up with all types of animals! I have a very flexible part-time job and only work 8-10 hours a week so I am home almost all of the time! If I have something small come up in my schedule it is usually only a couple of hours so your pets will never go longer than 4-5 hours without me there! At my home, we have a fenced in yard to keep our pets safe and a separate area of the house away from my children where they are free to get on the couches and play. Drop off and pickup will be anytime between 9:30am and 12:30pm or after 4:30 pm I have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in as much as he/she wants to. I also have outdoor kennels available for the pups to stay in during the day(weather permitting) or indoor crates when I am away for work(up to 4 hours). Tie outs can also be used if your pup is an escape artist. Boarding pets will be kept separate from my own pets unless otherwise agreed upon.
