“We were probably more anxious than the dogs to leave them with a stranger! This was our first time needing boarding after adopting Tiko 4yrs ago, and Bella 10yrs ago. We usually have at least one family member who stays behind for the fur babies. Bill was quick to respond, and allowed us a meet and greet before booking the stay. Their property us beautiful, with a huge fenced back yard, surrounded by cows and horses. They provided photo updates during our stay, and our pups seemed to genuinely enjoy their vacation from home. They updated us when the pups appetites were low, which I really appreciated. Both of our dogs tend to be anxious without us because they aren’t used to used to being alone, so it was also a big plus that they work from home. In the past we have had to send our pups to kennels because we don’t have friends or family near by who can watch them. They would be locked in a kennel all day and we would literally have to pay extra for belly rubs or time out of the kennel. I usually feel uneasy the whole trip but not this time. We can’t wait to host your furry friend! I am a stay at home mom so I can be extremely flexible with schedule and be available for your pet most of the time and attend to the needs of your specific pet. I will be sure to feed your pet as often as they are used to at home and with the food you provide. I spend lots of time outside with the kids so you can also be assured that your pet will be given plenty of outside time! I am happy to leave pets inside if they prefer that as well. About: I've been taking care of dogs for about 5 years for friends and family. I walk, feed, and administer medication. I also love to play with your pups! We will play a lot of fetch, go to the dog park, make crafts, and get lots of belly rubs. I have also had to handle seizures on several occasions. I currently work full time in downtown Delaware from 8:00-4:30, give or take the commute to and from your home. However, my weekends typically consist of hanging out and giving pups lots of play time. I love getting out for a walk or the dog park when it’s nice. If it’s not nice outside, I love to cuddle with your pup and a movie. When at other homes, I keep the same level of respect I would expect from someone staying in my home. We only accept dogs that are good with children and that are potty trained. We have a large kennel if your dog is crate trained and you would like us to use it, but as long as it’s good with kids it’s free to explore. I have two dogs of my own: a 6-year-old female Bernese Mountain Dog and a medium male Goldendoodle. Both are gentle, submissive, and friendly with other dogs. My Bernese especially has a sweet “mama bear” personality and is very nurturing around other pets. My home is calm, dog-friendly, and comfortable. I’m an early riser, so if you need someone as early as 6:30am I’m your girl! Times gone: Monday 10-6 (work) Tuesday 8:30-4 (work Thursday 8:30-4 (work) Friday 8:00-4 (work) Sunday 10-12 (church) I will treat your pup just like my own! The more information you give me about them, the better! This way I can make sure i’m doing things/caring for them in a way that is the most familiar for them. You can expect quite a few photos of your pup when they are in my care, and quick communication from me as well. I’d love to walk your pup, however long they’re comfortable. Dogs when over our house can roam around wherever while we’re present. I have a guest room to keep them in, if I were not to be home. I can also crate them, as long as that’s provided with them! They are free to sleep on the couch, floor, or bed. We have no pets currently living with us, it is me and my husband. I have experience training dogs in public settings and taking them out and about to pet friendly places. If your dog is already trained and well mannered in public places, I’m more than happy to take them out to places that stimulate them and are pet friendly.
About: I grew up with a dog my age so I not only had experience with him as a puppy while I was young but taking care of him as an older dog while we grew up. As I have been an adult I have taken on the role for many family members and friends of pet sitter. I often care for multiple dogs and cats in their own home and I love it! About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for 14+years I’m an animal lover, I love going outdoors with them as well as cuddling them. I’m very reliable and great at communicating. I’ve even had my neighbors let me watch their pets :) I’m currently out of school so my schedule is very open. Even once school is back open I’m still pretty free and reliable and communicative.
