“Aspen was so great. I was nervous about using rover and leaving my dog with a stranger, but Aspen was amazing. She was very friendly and welcoming when I dropped my dog off; she told me that she would be to take Effie on a few walks throughout the day and that she might even take her up to the lake. She sent me daily pictures and updates about the walks she would take with my dog and just overall how my dog was doing. It was nice to get the updates/pictures while I was gone for the week and put me more at ease with leaving her. There was a portion of Effie’s stay that another dog was going to be there and Aspen was very accommodating and wanted to make sure it was ok with me that there was another dog there (it was), but she even offered to go to my home on those days to let Effie out if it was not. I would definitely recommend Aspen and would use her again in the future :)”

About: Labs have been in my life since I was born, but I got my kitten at age 6, so I'll say that's when my real pet care experience began! Animals are such a significant part of my life that I got my bachelor's degree in zoology. I've practiced dairy goat husbandry, studied monkeys in the Surinamese rainforest, and worked as an animal keeper at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Not only do I understand how to care for animals, but I'm a truly playful and active person. There's nothing better than romping around outside with a pup and wearing one another out! That being said, I helped care for my family dog Farrah in her senior years and during that time we shared some of the most tender and mellow moments. If my admiration of pets isn't yet clear, I also paint pet portraits and you can see some in my profile photos. I’m a morning person, up with the sun, so early walks and check-ins are no problem! About: There’s never been a time in my life where I haven’t been active. Realizing I could be both; active AND hang out with some furry friends - it was a no brainer for me. I’ve had two of my own dogs for the majority of my life (cat lover as well), so I’ve most definitely been acclimated to all that they may throw at me. I started rover mid 2025 as a side gig after hopping out of the 9-5 life - I now have a consistent clientele and pups/ kitties that I’ve watched grow up. “I am so pleased with my dog sitting experience with Karin! We were really comfortable during the meet and greet. Karin took the time to ask questions about Sonnie, and Sonnie and Chubb interacted and played like they had already met. This was my first time leaving Sonnie with her, and 2 minutes after I left she sent me a note and picture, putting me at ease immediately. She communicated and sent pictures a few times a day. She goes above and beyond and I will definitely use her services again (if/when she is available)!”
“Aspen was so great. I was nervous about using rover and leaving my dog with a stranger, but Aspen was amazing. She was very friendly and welcoming when I dropped my dog off; she told me that she would be to take Effie on a few walks throughout the day and that she might even take her up to the lake. She sent me daily pictures and updates about the walks she would take with my dog and just overall how my dog was doing. It was nice to get the updates/pictures while I was gone for the week and put me more at ease with leaving her. There was a portion of Effie’s stay that another dog was going to be there and Aspen was very accommodating and wanted to make sure it was ok with me that there was another dog there (it was), but she even offered to go to my home on those days to let Effie out if it was not. I would definitely recommend Aspen and would use her again in the future :)”
“Carla and her family are incredible! I was in Cleveland for work and unexpectedly needed a dog sitter She was super helpful and understanding. She took my dog for walks every day, even though she barks at every cat or dog she sees when she’s on walks She sent me videos and updates without me having to even ask. I’ve never had a dog sitter before so I was kind of nervous about texting everyday because I didn’t want to be annoying, she willingly sent me updates and even offered to allow me to come visit when I miss her. When I dropped off our dog there was an introduction to the other pets in her home so our pup could get acclimated. About: I currently have two dogs, an Australian Shepard and a Border Collie, and have cared for other dogs in the past! Whether that was taking them on walks, light grooming, letting then outside for bathroom breaks, feeding, giving some much needed love, or anything in between. I truly believe that dogs need time to burn some of their energy and get exercise through the day. So, by going on walks and having play time outside is a perfect outlet for this, and something I genuinely enjoy doing! I love spending time with them and being able to build a bond with them. For me, working with dogs never feels like a job, but more of a great opportunity to have fun with my favorite animals! Recently moved and I am working from home so I would love to have a furry companion throughout the day or to visit and play with your pets! I have an apartment that is pet friendly and there are great places to walk and awesome dog parks around the area. I am constantly taking cute pictures of the fur babies and I love sharing them.
