About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

During her stay Rory gave Gigi the opportunity to meet and forge a friendship with another cat. I was so pleased! Rory followed all care requests. Rory sent pictures and videos of Gigi throughout her stay. Gigi appeared very content and happy. Gigi was well cared for and healthy when I picked her up at the end of her stay. About: I had had cats my entire life, my first being was Julie who I got at 1 year old and she lived to be just shy of 19. Growing up we rescued and fostered so many cats I couldn’t even begin to count and found them all loving homes. I am very comfortable with all types of temperaments, no matter if they need to play to get some energy out or would rather be left alone and I am just there to do basic needs and leave them be. About: My whole life I was never able to have pets up until two years ago which is when I got my first girl, Jojo. She changed my life completely and so I had to get her a sister. My love for them is unmatched and even though I don’t have training what I do have is unconditional love and plenty of free time. I recently resigned from my job so I do not have a work schedule to work around so I am able to give my pets as well as yours all the attention and care that they need. I do have a fenced yard so if they need to go outside for potty or play there is no risk of them running off. I also two dogs at home as previously mentioned but I do have a dog gate inside if your pet needs some alone time. I separate my dogs during meal times and sometimes just to give individual attention. Both my dogs are girls and they are sweet and very playful.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs, since I was a kid. I understand they are your children. I am comfortable giving oral meds, comfortable learning other routes of medication administration if needed. Currently will only board cats from the same home or young puppies (message for more details) at a time due to other animals in the house. Your fur baby will have their very Owen room with a gate door that is about 6ft tall to keep them safe and comfortable when I am not watching them or letting them out for play time. I will follow your set schedule for feedings and play time. If I am boarding an animal they are my soul focus till pick up time. I offer daily or every other day pictures/video updates of your pet, my phone is always on so you can always reach me about any concerns. I have one cat and two dogs in the house. They will remain separated from your animal at all times for safety and comfort of your beloved pet. All animals in the house are fully vaccinated including kennel cough. We just got a new doggie pool for the heat, and have a pop up agility course to play in.Parks nearby is Knox farm, memorial Park, BurchField and more. My car/dog mobile is set up with dog seatbelts so we can safely drive to our next fun destination( if approved by owner). Currently I am retired from pet grooming and I own another business that is seasonal therefore my schedule is pretty flexible and my availability is pretty open too. Many of the animals I have cared for have had special health-care needs which has given me a deep understanding of how important pets are to a family. I have managed special health-care needs such as caring for a diabetic cat (Cupcake), a cat with FIV (Sylvester), a cat with kidney issues (Socks), and a senior German-Shepherd dog with dementia (Charlie). I am very comfortable around all sizes and breeds. I have had pets my entire life. I grew up on a small farm with cats, dogs, goats, chickens, and so much more! I have owned dogs from 12lbs to 115lbs and love everything in between. If you have other furry friends in the house that you need to be checked in on I am more than happy to do that too! I am experienced with puppies and elderly dogs. I have 2 dogs myself! A 5 year old pug, jack russell, chihuahua mix named Florence, and a 4 year old fox terrier, chihuahua mix named Tyson. About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
