“Kathy and Tim took care of Bodie over Thanksgiving week and our pooch had a great stay! We received daily updates and photos and we could tell he felt quite at home. Their dog, Bailey, is well-mannered and friendly to people and other dogs - not a concern at all for Bodie (who's a bit picky about other dogs). We are THRILLED we found a very comfortable and caring home-away-from-home for Bodie and already have plans to bring him back next month. Thank you!!”

“Samantha was absolutely wonderful. We were very nervous about leaving our senior dog and very soon in to taking our little dog in we were good. Samantha really did an excellent job making sure he ate and giving him his medicine. We will definitely recommend Samantha to take care of your dog. We will be using Samantha again.”

“Kate was great with our 2 dogs' second experience with Rover. Our smaller one is an anxious rescue who takes a while to get comfortable. Kate was patient and understanding with her. I definitely recommend boarding with her.”

About: Like many others, I am a dog lover and was raised taking care of family dogs. Unlike others, that passion led to training and classes, competing in dog sports, and now, competing in dog shows. I have experience with many breeds of all sizes, senior pet care, reactive dog care and training. I would love to help you with your pet care needs! I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I can accommodate most dogs’ needs. I currently have open availability for boarding, daycare, walks, and drop in visits. Dogs are treated like one of my own! I take your dog out for leashed potty breaks several times a day, according to their needs. While I am working, your dog can settle on the couch or one of the many dog beds, or relax and play with my dogs (a Golden Retriever and a Foxhound). If your dog likes the crate, I have an extra for them. When I run errands, your dog will be crated or gated in a separate room from my dogs for safety. I live on 4 acres next and next to a cemetery, so I can take your dog for relaxing walks in a peaceful environment.
“Samantha and her partner are just amazing! Took care of Kiwi’s very complex medical needs and even made sure she was comfortable walking with her arthritis by layout out rugs for her to walk on she she doesn’t slip. She even made her own chart to keep track of kiwis meds to make sure she never missed a dose. She’s amazing and will be our go to as long as we live in the area! Cant recommend enough!”

About: I have had a dog my entire life. Many in different shapes and sizes. My last fur baby was my baby before babies and I have experience with obedience training and good citizen training. I am missing the pitter patter of paws in my home and would love to spoil your sweetie! I am currently home full time. I have three children that are 5 and under. I would love to spoil your baby in my caring home. I have a large yard and two story house with a fenced in gated deck for fresh air. I am very active and love walks and hikes!
“Kim was absolutely fantastic with my dog, Daisy. I was worry-free on my trip as I received daily photos of Daisy playing, snoozing, and hanging out with Kim. Kim treated Daisy as her own and I will highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable home for their dog to stay while their away.”

“Our dog Casey had a wonderful time with this provider! She was welcomed into the family making friends with the host children and dogs. They went on nice long walks each day and had outdoor play time. I would definitely recommend using Ema!”

“Natty loved her time with Dianna. She loves to play with other dogs so having Rosie and Goldie around was icing on the cake. She came home happy and tuckered out.”

“Maxine was a fantastic sitter for my puppy! Took her on hikes almost daily and handled her meds and everything with no issue. She also took some fantastic photos and shared updates daily. Highly recommend!”

“Dixie clearly loves taking care of dogs, and was a great host to Sunny for an overnight. Her place is large, and though it's unfenced, she keeps an eagle eye on her guests while allowing them to patrol, with the aid of a 50 ft leash. If we come back this way again, I'll be happy to sign Sunny up with Dixie again.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better situation than the one we had with Beth. She made our dog (Alee) feel right at home. Alee had freedom to move around, a comfortable home and lots of attention. It was a wonderful few days for her. I highly recommend Beth- a great dog sitter!”

“My dog Honey loved her stay at Jeffery’s place- she didn’t want to leave the farm! He was extremely communicative and flexible. I was out of the country during Honey’s stay, and felt at ease knowing she was in excellent hands. Upon requesting the booking, Jeffery promptly called me to go over everything and make sure his place was the right fit. During Honey’s visits, I received daily updates along with videos and photos. She received daily exercise and lots of play time with the other pups. We will def be using Jeffery again in the future!”

“Kathleen and Brian were fantastic!! They provided daily updates on how my dog was doing. They really care about the dogs they are watching and it is very evident. If I need my dog to be watched again I will gladly be requesting their services.”

“We have 2 rescues, both about 2 years old who have never been boarded. Garrison was a fantastic person to care for them their first time away. She was very patient as they're both nervous around new dogs. We couldn't be happier with the way she handled them.”

“Carol was absolutely incredible. My little dog Munchkin is a momma’s boy who really struggles being away from me. But with Carol he settled in and was eating, playing, and relaxing. She sent pictures and updates each day to let me know how he was doing and that really put my mind at ease since I’ve never used Rover or left Munchkin with anyone outside of family before. Munchkin is a cavapoo, so his fur can get tangled pretty easily as well but Carol brushed him every day and he came home tangle-free which really shows the care she puts into the dogs she boards. She made sure he was well cared for and loved, and I 100% recommend her for anyone wanting to board their dog and will definitely book with her in the future. She even had me fill out additional info regarding Munchkin just so she knew more about him and the best way to care for him while I was away. She was truly the best dog sitter I could have imagined leaving my little guy with. If you are looking for someone to treat your dog as their own, then Carol is definitely the way to go!”

“Elizabeth was fantastic with our boys. We (boys included) knew as soon as we met her, she was a perfect fit. This was our first time using Rover but Elizabeth really put our mind at ease. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Richard cared for our 16 year old cat that has chronic health issues. Our cat takes several medications twice a day and eats a prescription diet. He did a great job, was very responsive, responsible and would contact me if he had a question. We felt like we left our cat and home in good hands. I will hire Richard again in the future when we need someone to look after our cat.”

“Christian continues to be my "go to" for prompt, kind and affectionate attention and walks for Lucy Dog at lunchtime when I am at work. Christian takes unprompted and quick action when unexpected situations arise. He is intuitive, mature and responsive, and he genuinely cares for my dog. I highly recommend Christian without reservation.”

About: I am a reliable and caring pet sitter with over 13 years of experience caring for animals, including cats since childhood. Now 19, I have grown up around and cared for cats of all personalities, from shy and independent to playful and affectionate. I understand feline behavior, body language, and routines, and I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment. I treat every cat as if they were my own and make sure they feel secure, cared for, and loved while you’re away.

“Karibian was a lifesaver for our family! We had somewhat limited notice to needing our girls cared for and she stepped in and helped us. The girls were so happy to see her each visit, even though they had never met. All the photos of smiles and snuggles made this mommas heart happy. I highly recommend her service and will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Our cats can be pretty skittish with new people, but Luis was so patient and kind with them. He took the time to earn their trust instead of rushing them, and it really showed. By the final day, Kiki had completely warmed up to him and was loving on him! We really appreciated the updates and felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. We’d absolutely book with him again.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of attention, patience, and reliability I bring to every visit. I don’t treat pet sitting as a quick check in. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and adjust my care to what makes them feel most comfortable.
About: Note: 98% of my business is private clients because Rover does not send me much business. My prices reflect my time with your loved pets and we hope that you would pay us more than your cleaning lady/man because your fur kids are of most important to you. Right? I am booked probably 1/2-3/4 of the month on my own but I would love to help you thru Rover. My prices reflect my service and need to charge an amount which Rover will take 20% of my fee. Why you should pick me as your preferred petsitter: I am responsible. Love Pets and your pet(s) are where they belong - in your/their home - unless I am hosting your pet(s). I administer oral and injectable medication to pets as you prescribe. Dogs, cats, fish and birds love me. I stay because it is good for your pets too and I don't want to drive to your home everytime I feed your pet. I save you time by not having to drive to the dogggy/pet hotel. If you need more info, please let me know - plenty of references. Every client hires me again. Note: If you lie about the number of pets and kind in your home, I think that honesty is the best policy if you want my help and I want you to be honest with Rover and since I will be in your home. We need mutual respect. Hiring me is not about saving money, it is about keeping your pet in a familiar and happy environment. My first interview is by phone before I come to your house. Please send me your phone number upon request of my services plus your cross streets and zip code. I send pics if your wifi is working. Please let me know how often you want pics emailed to you. Please note: Pet Day Care: 8 hour sessions but you get a discount for a 4 hours request. * (e.g. for pets who are infermed, are escape artists, pets with anxiety issues etc) or you just want them to have company. I sometimes send pics from my phone and not ROVER app so my photo rate is lower than expected. On Christmas week - I may be hosting at a second home. Housesitting is an evening service to for me: My evening rate starts with the evening meal sometime after 6 pm and ends with the serving of breakfast dependent upon my schedule. If you want need more services or hours let me know and the cost will increase*. Housitting means that I am coming to your home to petsit vs you boarding your pet at my home. It means that I go in and out of your home based upon my schedule. If you want a midday walk or specify times of service, there is an extra visit fee which will be added. Likewise, an early arrival before dinner/service after I serve breakfast should be booked as a stop in or midday visit or additional day. Ask, if this is not clear. Your home should be clean including bed sheets and a towel for me. Please make sure your stove and oven are free of anything that can cause a fire or melt with heat. My fee does not include cleaning or snowplowing/shoveling of snow. Please make appropriate arrangements before and during my stay for snow removal. I am available for morning and night meals along with sleeping over. I would go in and out of the house like a normal pet parent. My visit time depends on the day requested. Periodic Potty Break/walk. care for pet in my lower part of my home. serving of Meals provided by pet owner. I'm able to provide great references for the pets I've cared for in the past! I am energetic, fun, and easy to get along with. I like to make the most out of our time together! I like to be outdoors as much as possible. If your dog is comfortable, I would love to take your dog to events, the dog park, and short hikes. Your dog will love the experience I will provide! I am respectful of my clients homes, as well as their desired schedules.
“Heather was super sweet, understanding and very responsive! She understood my circumstances for needing my kitty Poptart watched and had no complaints with how last minute my request was. When there was an interference with the pickup time, she was completely understanding and didn’t charge extra. I even told her about Poptart’s disliking of other cats, and she kept her in a room separate from her own and even offered to introduce my cat to hers to get her more accustomed to being around other cats in the future. Overall, she was a wonderful sitter and I’ll definitely consider her again in the future!”

About: I have raised and cared for my families dogs as well as my own personal pets since I was a child. From puppy days to senior life, I have experienced it all and have enjoyed every moment of it. For me, having dogs around is a must! I currently work 4 days a week at a brewery in Rochester. I am available for walks and check-ins Tuesday/Wed all day, Thursday-Friday 8am-11am. Sunday's are open and negotiable as well! I enjoy spending time outside (park, trails, yard) with the active dogs, and talked to/petting the lazy/sleepy ones while they lounge inside. I live close to some wonderful parks, and enjoy throwing a ball around or just taking a stroll.
“Samantha is wonderful. Booking was done last-minute, on a holiday, no less. Samantha was kind, responsible, on-time, and would have sent intormation about my dog every 20 minutes if I wanted it. Highly recommend.”

“Charlotte was amazing with my fluffy girl, Peach!! She was super communicative and took great pictures! Peach got along amazing with her pups and was an all-around great experience. Will definitely be booking with Charlotte again when I return to Geneva.”

“We can’t believe our luck that we found Ema and her beautiful kids and family to take care of our Coco. We felt that Coco was in perfect care and that is immeasurable assurance is everything. Thank you dear Ema we’re so glad we found you!”

“Kate is very kind and easy to communicate with. She took great care of my Bella and always asked important questions. I know Bella had so much fun — her daughter played with her, and I’m so happy that my pet had a wonderful time and was well cared for by Kate and her family.”

“Truly Professional and Caring After a terrible experience with another sitter, we brought Bunny to Jeffery—and the difference was night and day. Jeffery truly knows what he’s doing when it comes to caring for dogs and other animals. Bunny spent the day happily playing with four other dogs, and it was clear that Jeffery understands proper introductions, group dynamics, and how to make every dog feel comfortable. He is professional, attentive, and genuinely cares for the well-being of the pets in his care. I felt completely at ease knowing Bunny was safe, happy, and in a positive environment. I highly recommend Jeffery to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled dog sitter.”

“Christine was wonderful with my little poodle. My guy Marley loved her little boy and from the videos he was kind and had fun with Marley without being too rough for a little dog. I was nervous because marley had a heart murmur when he was younger and he gets overheated but he was fine with her. Thankyou Christine for taking care of my family member.”
“My dog came home happy and exhausted from a long day of playing! Dixie sent me a couple of updates throughout the day and I had no worries at all. Dixie was also very flexible with my crazy work schedule, and at the end of the long day she didn't want my dog to leave because they had such a good time. 10/10 and would definitely use again.”

“Dianna was amazing at communicating and share photos of my pup while at her place. Their home is perfect for dogs to run around at while your busy hiking or visiting the area.”

About: As a pet parent of 23 years I understand how much joy our fur friends bring us. Unfortunately sometimes our day to day life prevents us from giving them all the love and attention they deserve. Please allow me to become part of your pals routine. You won’t regret it. I have taken joy in walking, snuggling, feeding, and caring for my pets over the years. I enjoy being outside and walking daily and I would love new company! With your permission I can take your dogs to some of my favorite walking spots in the area. Work with me and you will see for yourself my punctuality, enthusiasm and commitment to keeping your fur baby happy and healthy. Feel free to message me anytime during the service for your pet pics, updates, and any other information. Whenever you need me give me a call! I’m currently working from home via computer so I have very flexible availability. However I am a mom so if you request a overnight stay I would have to bring her with me. Don’t hesitate to reach out anytime. At home my furry friends are kept in our fenced in yard and on the leash on walks. I would keep the same commit to your dogs.
“I cannot overstate what a lifesaver Jennifer was on our vacation. We had an air BNB that allowed dogs, but not unattended and were visiting friends with a cat who turned out to be dog phobic. We booked Jennifer the day before we left and she was so welcoming and flexible with pick up and drop off times and with her extensive kennel hours. My dog loved her own special vacation; with puppy playtime and hiking in the woods. She came home relaxed and super tired! The true marker of her own good review, was how happy she was to go back the next day! Thanks, Jennifer :)”

“Heather was fantastic! We came to town in our RV for weekend class reunion. Heather cheerfully came to the TV park to sit with our 12 pound Yorkipoo, Bear. She sent photos and loved on him. Heather was a great communicator too. We highly recommend Heather to watch your furry friends! Sarah and John”

“Fiona had her first day at Garrisons doggy daycare and she came back tired and happy! My pup is very nervous of new things at first and Garrison took time to let Fiona warm up and get comfortable instead of just throwing her into the mix of things which can be overwhelming. I received updates from garrison and pictures and videos. We will definitely be a repeat client! Thanks so much Garrison!”

“We were visiting the Rochester area and needed someone to watch our labs for a couple hours - Kerrie was so flexible, responsive, and overall wonderful with our two very active and enthusiastic labs. If we’re ever in the area again, I know who we’ll be contacting if we need someone to watch our pups!”

About: I have taken care of small and large breeds of dogs since the young age of seven. As soon as I was able to as an adult I rescued a dog and a cat because no home is complete without the pitter-patter of furry feet. My pets are more than pets, they're family, and yours will be treated just the same when they're in my care. I am currently working part time at the library two doors down from my home so have plenty of time to care for your furry friend. I have a beagle/poodle mix that is two years old that loves to have friends to play with. He sleeps in the bed, but if you prefer your doggie to be crated I can do that too. I also have a 9 year old cat that thinks she's the mommy of the house. She is always cuddling the dog and bathing him.
About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I work part time, only 3-5 hours a day at a shop a few minutes from my house. Other than work and quick errands from time to time I’m home full time otherwise! I have a huge backyard that is not fenced in, however your pet would have full on leash supervised access to the yard! I have an older cat who gets along very well with other animals.

We have lots of experience with lots of animals, at all stages of life and with administering medications. Now that the kids are all in school. I have extra time to spend with my 4 legged babies and yours. We enjoy hiking, long and/or short walks around Canandaigua. I am a responsible and respectful professional. I will take care of your pet and home as if it were my own. I want to earn your trust and loyalty.
“Absolutely recommend Samantha!! She is super responsive, attentive to needs, and you can tell she just genuinely loves to be around dogs. My dog was in great hands for sure.”

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 13. I walk mine and my sisters dogs frequently. I have done overnights with dogs. I let dogs out during the day and feed them for meal times. I am a nursing student at Hartwick college and can easily work about my schedule to take care of pets. I am unavailable on Thursdays, but every other day works depending on my schedule. In my clients home I use any equipment that they recommend and use. I have taken dogs for rides in my car and roll the windows down for them to see out.

About: I have always had a love for animals since I can remember. I rescued and rehabbed two feral kittens that were living under a dumpster to my own rescued pup. I have had guest dogs in my home from tiny to extra large. They always received the same care as my own dog from sleeping in bed with us to plenty of walks and outdoor time. They will be in great, responsible hands with me! I currently have my own business so I make my schedule. I can be flexible with days of the week and times even with last minute notice. I always ensure the pets are secure via leash before leaving the home to go for walks or when they are "in" for the day (crates, baby gate - no matter their set up). I also gather all the information about the animal - any reactions to certain situations, recall cues etc prior to visits.
About: I’ve had a medium sized dog of my own for the past six years. I also have been asked by numerous friends and family members if I could watch their dogs for a few days to weeks at a time. I am currently working part time where I only work Tuesday, Fridays, and one Saturday in a month. I have a significant amount of time left to dedicate to taking care of your animals! I have a large yard with a crick running along the edge of it. I also have a fluffy 5 year old dog to keep your dog company
“Aracely let out and fed my puppy midday for 2 months until the end of my school year. She took great care of my little guy. There were two times that she canceled morning of and, with that late notice, I was not able to leave work or get anyone else to take him out. I understand life happens but my little guy did go to the bathroom in his crate both of those days. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would!”

I would love to spoil your baby in my caring home. I have a large yard and two story house with a fenced in gated deck for fresh air. I am very active and love walks and hikes!

“Tammy took great care of my little man! Her home is so welcoming and plenty of space for the pups to run around! I could tell he was very spoiled at her place! I'm so happy to have found a spot ill be able to take him all the time that I can trust!”

About: Hello! I grew up on a farm where we had plenty of dogs and cats and your basic farm animals. I have trained and taken care of all different types of breeds. I have had English bulldogs to labs to Dobermans. I have gone to dog training classes and have experience with puppies and older dogs. My senior English bulldog passed away and I am not in a position to have a puppy full time. So I would love some animals around the house to keep my company! The days I’m available are when I’m off work and spend most my time at home on these days. Therefore I can fully take care of them, play with them and train if needed. Well in my home I have a fenced in back yard, but I would still watch and hang out with them if that’s where they wanted to be. I would take the animals on walks as directed by the owner. I live in a very safe area with families and it’s a fun neighborhood to walk around in. At both the owners and my home I would make sure the dogs always have water unless otherwise directed- this is very important especially in hot climates like CA.
“Jennifer watched my dog for 4 days while I was out of then. We did a meet and greet ahead of time to make sure all dogs got along, which they did! They also have separate areas for dogs that would prefer not to overly socialize. My dog had a wonderful time playing, swimming and taking walks with Jennifer and crew. Jennifer was great at communicating daily and sent lots of pictures and videos. It was clear that nacho was having the best time. I definitely recommend Jennifer and will absolutely book again.”
