“Doreen was absolutely wonderful. We were very nervous to leave Chloe, but she had access to the bed (we let her sleep with us), the backyard, the run of the home and endless cuddles from Doreen. We left a piece of our heart with her for two weeks and she kept us updated everyday with videos and pictures and letting us know that Chloe was eating well and loved the other dogs she was with. Chloe is 12 and stopped playing with toys years ago, at Doreens she decided to play with toys again. It was so heartwarming to see, we will be using Doreen for all our petsitting needs with Chloe.”

About: I have over 20 years of experience taking care of dogs. I have owned dogs for the past 16 years straight, the last 10 years with two dogs. I have a lot of experience with all types of dogs (from chihuahua to Great Dane) and connect easily with them. After all, I am a dog myself (per the Chinese Zodiac!) Currently I have two rescue dogs: A special needs (epilepsy) Healer/Aussie Shepherd mix named Ace and a senior Supermutt named Maisie. We lost our senior Boston Terrier in early 2023 due to Cushings and Cancer. So, I have experience taking care of dogs from puppy through hospice. Medications and special food needs are no problem. NOTE: As I have two dogs of my own.....if your dog is not well socialized and does not get along with all other dogs, big and small, or has a history of aggressive behavior, please do not put in a "Boarding" booking request. Socialized, friendly dogs only, please. No excessive whiners or barkers and dogs must weigh 35 lbs or less. Thank you! Reliable, Responsible, Mature. I'm currently retired so am able to spend all of my time caring for my animals (and yours). The most i'll ever leave the house for is 2-3 hours for an appointment, but this is rare. We start our days with breakfast at 7am, take a morning hike in the woods or trails or town. Then some relax time at home before lunch and a 1pm neighborhood walk. Then more home time and play or naps until our 4pm hike. Then dinner at 5. All meal times adjustable for your dog's needs. I am able to be home 99% of the time so am always able to focus on the pets needs. I have been an animal lover my whole life and care deeply about the health and well being of animals in my care or under my stewardship. We live close to many hiking trails and nature preserves so the dogs always get plenty of sniff walks and exercise and socialization. Always on leash and always careful of meeting unknown dogs that may be receptive. I'm pretty good at sussing out a dog's behavior signals, if we should meet or not, after so many years.

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 17 years. Besides raising my own dogs, I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs for stays ranging from one week to two months. My Goldendoodle loves making new dog friends, and many of our guests have become his best buddies. I work from home most of the week, so I have plenty of time to care for dogs throughout the day. They get regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention, and are rarely left alone. I have fenced yard where my dog loves to play fetch. About: My parents got me my first dog Tokyo, when I was 9 , a beautiful short-haired black and brown mutt and I've been dog-crazy ever since. I recently moved to New York leaving my 10-year-old Great Dane, Maxine, with my parents, which breaks my heart . I mostly work from home, so I absolutely jumped at this opportunity to walk and look after other people's dogs. From dogs that are larger than life, and drag you from place to place (like my own), to the smallest and petite of canines (my sister had a Maltese terrier), I have a life-time of experience . I'm really feeling the absence of my friend and will happily take your dog for some fresh air. I'm an artist, I work from home, so I am fully flexible. I write at night as that's when I'm most inspired so I'd love to use to my days to do something I love. I have a lot of experience with larger dogs, I can crate them, walk them and give them their medication. When it comes to cats, I let them do their thing and give them attention should they ask.

Dogs staying in my home have access to a fully fenced backyard where they can safely go out for potty breaks, exercise, and supervised play. Inside, I have a finished basement that provides a clean, comfortable, and climate-controlled space for dogs to relax, train, and rest. Every dog follows a structured routine that includes regular outdoor breaks, feeding according to the owner’s schedule, enrichment, and plenty of individual attention.
