About: I’ve had a passion for dogs since I was young, and that love has only grown over the years. I recently spent a summer in Alaska working as a sled dog handler, caring for 35 Alaskan Huskies, which taught me so much about dedication, patience, and the unique personalities of dogs. Since then, I’ve had the joy of dog sitting all over the world, where I’ve used Rover all over, dog sitting in New Zealand, and most recently Austria for a year. I’ve gained experience with all kinds of breeds and temperaments. About: Cats have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, so caring for them feels very natural to me. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities from affectionate, social cats to shy or the ones who pretend they don’t need you… until they do. I understand cat body language and know when it’s time to interact and when it’s better to give them space. About: My petsitting career has always included cats. As such I have lots of experience working with a wide array of cats from kittens, ferals, extra friendly love bugs, and also special needs kitties. I've been the go to person for several diabetic cats and am trusted by my clients to keep their cats healthy and well. About: I’ve grown up with dogs, and have a lot of experience with training, guided leash walking, and reactivity. About: I was a hands on member in my own dogs professional training, and I have taken care of friends and family’s dogs of all ages and breeds so there’s really nothing I haven’t seen before. That being said, I am well-versed in the high demand and needs of puppies and can confidently say that I am trained to care for them and all the hurdles that they entail. I provide very personalized care and only board one guest dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. There are no children or other pets in my home, so your dog gets plenty of individual attention in a calm home environment. Your dog isn't just staying at my house, they become part of my everyday life while they're with me. At home, dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable. They can sleep in my bed, curl up on the couch, or choose a therapeutic dog bed if they prefer their own quiet space. For food motivated dogs, I have five different dog puzzles and enjoy playing "find the treats" and other enrichment games. We also have a fenced yard for supervised play and relaxing outside. Most days include 3–4 walks, ranging from a quick 10-minute potty walk to a 30–45 minute adventure. “First time boarding with Randi and it was an incredibly smooth experience. Randi is extremely flexible and was a life saver for when we were away on a multi city driving trip. We were watching the weather in case we needed to abandon our plans and come back home mid trip. Randi was extremely flexible and accommodating and I am so grateful for that. Our dog is a picky eater and is also on some tricky meds…and Randi kept in touch with regular updates. She persevered with attempts to get her to eat both food and meds, until our dog did finally start to eat! Our dog came home happy and healthy! We will definitely board with Randi again!”
