Her home is incredibly suited to doggie fun and safety with a fenced play yard and even a poo;l on her deck for hot days. Vera loved sitting in the pool while cooling off during our recent heat spell. Deb's extensive knowledge of dog behavior provided new insights to us; she helped us understand some of Vera's responses when we arrived and affirmed the findings of our pet shrink (yes we had one when she was a puppy). About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs nearly my entire life, and have served as one of the primary caretakers in my family for almost all of the dogs we’ve had. I’ve taken care of dogs of all types and ages from puppies to seniors and chihuahuas to huskies I work on a contract basis and have more free time than time I’m working. I often have full weeks off and can spend that whole time with your pets. I have a cozy apartment with plenty of space for a dog, big or small. I have room to put a crate or dog bed if needed. I’d also feel comfortable staying in your home if that’s what is best for you and your dog.

About: Relationship with animals has always been a passion of mine. I started grooming dogs with my grandmother at the age of 10, but was her assistant long before I earned the title. About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

If watching a pet in your home, I follow the provided instructions, while ensuring to keep everything clean and tidy. If boarding in my home, your pet is welcome to the entire apartment, when supervised, and will mostly hang out in the living room or my room. Pets are allowed on couches and beds. We do have a cat in the home that will ignore the dog as long as it is not aggressive towards her.

“Julia was AWESOME. In fact, I worried that our dog, Tucker, would end up preferring to stay with her rather than come home with us! She watched our very enthusiastic 1.5 year old golden retriever for the weekend, and took him on hikes, had him splashing in brooks and meeting goats. She was easy to get in touch with, accepted our last minute booking (including squeezing in a meet and greet prior) and sent great photos. 10/10 recommend!!”

About: I’ve grown up caring for pets and currently have a dog and two cats back home, so I understand the daily responsibility and love they require. Having cared for an animal with a disease, I also know the importance of proper treatment and attention. I bring this same level of dedication to every pet I look after, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well-cared for on every walk. I’m currently a university student doing research this summer. I have free time in the afternoons and evenings! The weekends are also pretty available for me! I have quite a bit of time to play with your pup/kitty! I will give your pets speciality care! I am a calm and caring person and will make sure that your animal is in the best hands. In my home I ensure that my dog has ample walks each day because I understand how important physical activity is for animals, and I will devote the upmost attention to your pets as well!
