“Angela is a gem! I was planning a road trip with my 7.5 year old Norwegian Elkhound, Grayson (med. size) from Terre Haute, Indiana to Clinton, NY to visit family just recently in October of 2025. There were a lot of pieces of the of the puzzle to figure out and I started my internet and calling search in August. I was going to be staying at my mother's Senior apartment complex, celebrating her 87th birthday, but they do not allow visiting/staying dogs. My brother lives nearby but due to teenagers coming and going and having a small dog I needed to find other accommodations for Grayson. I called, emailed and options were few and far between. Some boarding kennels were too expensive or already booked, or had rules that the dog must stay until final pickup. Independent pet/home sitters not on Rover did not return emails. I needed to be able to take Grayson out a couple of times during the trip so that my mom could see Grayson as well as enjoy some of the Clinton fun spots with him while there. I also needed to pick Grayson up for the weekend to visit relatives in Massachusetts, then return him for another pet stay the next week. Angela was literally the last person I reached out to (having never used Rover and was unsure at first to use the service) and she got what I was trying to accomplish! We had seamless communication through Rover for initial Q & A and then had a couple of video chats to confirm that this was a match! The Rover app is similar to Airbnb where communication, reservations, and payment are done over the platform. When it was time for travel, Angela let us know she was ready for us! Grayson stayed with Angela Monday through Friday with a mid-week pick up for an afternoon, then picked up Grayson for the weekend getaway visiting relatives. Then Grayson spent Monday through Wednesday of the next week with Angela. Let me just say Grayson fell in love with Angela and Angela fell in love with Grayson! Angela is very attentive with all the details, and all the things you bring to make your pup comfortable (meds, crate, blankets, etc all was handled with care!) Grayson loved all the walks and attention she gave him! It was fun making the drive from Clinton to Angela's, about a 30 min. drive and her town is so pretty, especially with the fall colors and stopping at the local museum and produce stands was so enjoyable. I felt totally comfortable the whole trip that Grayson was well cared for. Angela went the extra mile with lots of attention, walks, brushing and getting an extra bone when I forgot mine. Without Angela, this road trip would not have happened as I really wanted to bring Grayson and have my mom see him as time marches on and wanted mom to see Grayson before any more time went by. Angela made my dream trip come true! Grayson and I even had a side trip to Niagara Falls and I will remember this trip forever! I plan to do this roundtrip again and will definitely book Angela again! I recommend Angela as an exceptional pet/home sitter! For any travelers out there with itineraries like mine, you will be in great hands with Angela! Thank you, Angela, your care for Grayson totally warmed my heart! Your service and care were impeccable! When I set up the next road trip, I will be in touch! Kris A, Terre Haute, Indiana”

“Holly is the kind of care you would hope to have with a 5 star review. Not only did she truly care about my pups, she treated them as one of her own and sent me frequent updates on how they were doing. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

“Tracy took extra special care to make sure that my puppy got plenty of exercise and attention while sticking to our normal routine. Our puppy came back happy and healthy and we couldn't have been happier.”

“Our plans fell through at the last minute for Rory and Rachel was very flexible for the stay. Rory was initially sad that we were leaving her but after just one night with Rachel and her family, Rory was sad to be leaving them. It was clear that Rachel took great care of Rory during the stay! Would recommend.”

“I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with Becky! From our first interaction, it was clear how genuinely caring, responsible, and attentive they were. She took the time to get to know our dog’s personality and little quirks, which immediately put us at ease. Throughout the stay, we received consistent updates, photos, and thoughtful check-ins that made it so easy to relax knowing our pup was in such great hands. It honestly felt like our dog was on their own little vacation. What really stood out was the level of detail and effort. Becky and her daughter went above and beyond in every way. Whether it was sticking to her feeding and supplement schedules, making sure our dog got plenty of love and attention, extra attention to her needs (it was a change of seasons aka shedding time and they gave her lots of extra care and brushing to keep her comfortable!), it was all so appreciated. It’s not easy to trust someone with your pet, but I would 100% book Becky again without hesitation and recommend her to absolutely anyone. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, you’ve found the one!”

“Jenna is amazing with animals. I have never been able to leave my pup and feel comfortable. He's a dog with many needs, medical, behavioral you name it. He gets into tons of trouble. She was able to keep him safe qnd happy and he got a ton if exercise and attention just like he was at home. We have even tried a doggy daycare and he was hurt while we were away. Jenna kept him safe. We will be using her again next month!”

“Geoffrey is excellent to our dog Kobe he is very attentive and very caring! He always go above and beyond when our dog is in his hands I would recommend him to any one any time! I love that he takes the time to walk and play with Kobe.”

“Research & clinical shadowing outside of NY meant I had to find a pet boarder this summer for my cat. I wanted to make sure he was left in good hands; Tyler was an outstanding sitter for my Mango 🥭🐈 Tyler took care of Mango like his own: taking him to vet visits, making sure to play with him, & sending me frequent updates. Thank you so much Tyler!”

“Ashley and her family were absolutely wonderful! They sent lots of great pictures and updates and were so sweet to our pup. Wish we lived closer, we would send him there more! But will be sure to go back when we are nearby again.”

“Debbie is an amazing and attentive dog sitter. I felt absolutely at ease leaving Kona with her. I always have a hard time emotionally leaving my animals and this time I felt completely free to leave, knowing Kona was in the right place. I truly appreciate the schedule, with play and exercise time followed up by beautiful supportive pictures of Kona.”

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on professional dog care experience working in dog daycares, boarding kennels, and grooming facilities in both Colorado and New York. I’ve managed large daycare playgroups of 15–20 dogs, monitored interactions, redirected rough play, and maintained calm, structured environments. One of our daily staff challenges involved having an entire group line up and hold a sit at the same time—something I was proud to accomplish more than once. I also worked at a boarding and grooming kennel in Durango, CO owned by a competitive dog-show handler with extremely high standards. Because staff was small, I gained extensive one-on-one experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, including nail trims (even nervous dogs), coat-specific brushing, ear and dental care, bathing, drying, and boarding routines. I also handled front-desk responsibilities, scheduling, and check-ins. At home, I live with two very friendly dogs of my own—Cooper, a beagle, and Tucker, an Australian Shepherd–beagle mix. They are social, affectionate, and almost always carrying a ball around the house. We play daily enrichment games such as hide-and-seek: I’ll have them wait in another room while I hide their balls or bedtime treats, and when I let them out, them they make a mad dash to look for them. It’s one of their favorite parts of the day and a fun way to keep them moving and engaged when it's too cold outside or when I'm doing things around the house. Our home is fully set up for boarding with a large fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, plus a dedicated dog-care nook stocked with harnesses, leashes, winter jackets, brushes, and treats. Living with my own dogs full-time means I’m experienced with routines, energy management, introductions, and helping new pups feel comfortable quickly. Cooper and Tucker enjoy meeting new friends, and I carefully supervise all group play. What truly drives me is how much joy dogs bring into everyday life, which is why I chose to follow that passion into my career. Being around happy, healthy dogs is contagious in the best way, and creating an environment where they feel safe, loved, and excited to be here is what I aim for every day. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m home often and structure my days around indoor and outdoor playtime, enrichment activities, meals, and rest breaks. Dogs in my care receive plenty of attention, supervised yard time, and companionship throughout the day rather than being left alone for long stretches. I’m available for in-home boarding and extended stays, and I plan my schedule to make sure every dog gets consistent care, exercise, and individual attention. My home is fully set up for dogs, with a large fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play and plenty of space indoors to relax. I live with two friendly dogs, Cooper and Tucker, and always supervise interactions, and group play. I live with my mother, so she may be around occasionally but it is only me who will be looking after and taking care of the pups. She is aware of my services and is happy to open the home to more dogs for sitting and more pals for Cooper and Tucker! I follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, medication instructions, and preferred activity levels. Dogs can be separated for meals or downtime if needed, and I’m comfortable using crates or quiet spaces based on what makes them feel most secure. We also have a dedicated dog-care nook stocked with harnesses, leashes, winter jackets, brushes, and treats so guests are always prepared for Syracuse weather. Cleanliness, hygiene, and calm handling are priorities here. You’ll receive regular photo updates and messages so you can feel confident your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away(:
“If you are looking for an exceptional dog-sitter, look no further than Rutha K. She provided our Cavapoo, Tori, with excellent care and my wife and I were very confident in leaving Tori with her for the few days we were away. We will definitely utilize her services again!”

“A wonderfully sweet and caring sitter who did a magnificent job taking care of my senior dog. She is very mature and professional. She was conscientious of my senior dogs limitations but still kept her active and engaged. She expressed initiative in helping out with my furbaby's care that wasn't anticipated was sooo appreciated. Would recommend her to everyone, and will definitely use her every future needs.”

“Angel is awesome! She is very caring and knowledgeable about dogs. She sent pictures and texts. I’ve never seen my dogs smile as big as they did with the pictures she sent. We will be back and Angel is our new sitter! She has a huge yard with many toys too! I really can’t say enough about her!”

“Lauren was great with my dog moose. He was very happy every picture update I received. Her home was very dog friendly and moose loved his stay. I highly recommend her for any of your future dog boarding needs. I will definitely be using her services in the future.”

“Tia was great! So communicative, friendly, and most importantly kind and caring to our needy lil dachshund lol. He’s got a touch of separation anxiety, and she knew just how to help him through it. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Katie has been amazing on keeping me up to date on how my puppers was doing/adjusting. She sent photos for a few updates as well!! We will be back again and I know Maple is already excited to get back there!”

“We are so thankful Stephanie could watch Marcy for us especially on last minute notice! It’s always good when Marcy comes home tired from playing, and I can tell she had a great time playing with Stephanie’s dogs. Thank you!!”

About: I have previously worked in a kennel, I dog sit for friends and family, and I have a very energetic Irish Setter who loves to be active. I work from home. I am around all day and night to cater to your pet's needs! I will be around to let your pet out any time of day. I usually let my pup out about three times a day and the walks span from 0.5 miles to 2 miles. I am typically the groomer for my dogs, so I am responsible for brushing, bathing, drying, and clipping my pups nails.
About: With 5 years of dedicated experience in pet care, I provide a comprehensive and compassionate service tailored to the unique needs of each animal. My expertise extends beyond basic care to include specialized skills such as positive reinforcement-based puppy training, helping to establish good habits from an early age. I also have a deep understanding of senior dog care, including administering medication, providing gentle exercise, and creating a comfortable, low-stress environment. I have experience managing a variety of medical conditions, ensuring your furry family member is safe and well-cared for at all times. My goal is to be a trusted partner in your pet's health and happiness, providing peace of mind while you're away. Each morning starts with feeding, watering, and a potty break for the pets in my care. This is followed by a morning walk or playtime to get their energy out and start the day on a positive note. Throughout the day, I follow individual schedules, which might include specific feeding times for puppies or senior dogs, medication administration, or scheduled walks and potty breaks. The afternoon often includes another round of playtime or enrichment activities, such as puzzle feeders or training sessions, to keep their minds engaged. Evenings are typically quieter, with a final feeding and potty break before a relaxing wind-down. My weekly routine involves a bit more planning. I coordinate with pet owners to schedule walks, check-ins, or overnight stays. I also use this time to restock on supplies and keep detailed records of each pet's behavior, eating habits, and health. If a pet is in my care for an extended period, I might schedule a grooming appointment to ensure they're in top shape. My schedule is built around the needs of the pet, ensuring they receive consistent, loving care and that their owners have peace of mind. Caring for pets, whether on my own or a client's, requires a responsible and attentive approach to ensure their well-being. A fundamental aspect is providing a consistent routine, including scheduled feeding times with high-quality, species-appropriate food and fresh water that is always accessible. Regular exercise is crucial for both physical and mental health; this can range from daily walks for dogs to interactive playtime. Environmental enrichment, such as toys, scratching posts, and comfortable bedding, helps prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. It's also vital to maintain a clean and safe living space by regularly cleaning food and water bowls, litter boxes, and bedding. Beyond daily care, a thorough pet care plan includes regular grooming, such as brushing and nail trims, and staying up-to-date on veterinary care, including vaccinations and preventative treatments for fleas, ticks, and worms. For client homes, clear communication is paramount. It is important for me to obtain detailed instructions regarding the pet's specific needs, routines, medications, and any behavioral quirks, as well as emergency contact information. This holistic approach, combining routine care with attention to individual needs and a focus on safety and hygiene, ensures a happy and healthy life for any pet under my care.
About: I love taking care of animals. I have always had dogs and cats and I love to spoil them but also train them right. I allow animals the freedom to have fun while also putting their safety and wellbeing as my first concern. I work from home full time monday through friday so I am able to take care of pets any day of the week. I have two dogs of my own that go out regularly all day. In my home, I feed pets twice a day, sometimes with a treat or two a day. My pets are allowed on the couch and in bed for extra cuddles. I have 2 acres for animals to run around or be leashed for walks/runs. I also live on a dead end road with very little traffic for major safety concerns.
About: Animals, especially canines, are my entire life. I'm a pack leader at a dog daycare and it's the best! I have a large amount of experience in the animal care field, and also training in dog and cat behavior. Being a pet parent, I understand that you need to have someone trustworthy while you're away, and I am that person. With my own dogs, we enjoy being outside, a lot. Hiking, walking, swimming...we do it all. Exercise is very important to have a happy and healthy pet. I am a very happy-go-lucky person and dedicate my life to the happiness and wellness of animals. I have 13 different critters in my home, and more often that not: more dogs! I would be more than happy to get together and talk! My daily schedule is flexible. I have 12 dogs of my own that require constant care that include potty breaks and play time. Our pack is only alone for about 4-5 hours a day. All of our dogs (personal, boarding or foster) are generally integrated with the pack. We try to accommodate all dog personalities. If they don't do well in the big pack, we tend to crate and rotate smaller play groups. Wake up is anywhere from 5:30-8:30 am and last potty is around 9-9:30 pm. Feedings are 2-3 times a day that happen in either a crate, pen, or separate area to prevent any issues. Water is always available inside and outside the house. We also have so many toys, like drowning in toys. Our home is structured, but in a chaotic way.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover. When I was a child I had all sorts of different pets. I had fish, hamsters, gerbils, lizards and rabbits. When I got older I had a family dog named Lulu who I helped house brake and train as a pup when I was in high school. When I became an adult I adopted my dog Weston who I’ve had and trained since he was an eight week old puppy. I’m very confident in my ability to help house train your young dog if need be. I understand how much stimulation and exercise they require. I’m happy to provide that through long walks, trips to the dog park and general outings. I have lots of chew toys around and ways to keep feisty puppies occupied. I’ve fostered cats as well as taken care of neighbors’ kittens including providing feedings and litter box cleaning when necessary. I’ve always wanted to have a parrot as a pet so if you have birds that need care I’d appreciate the opportunity to come help out and learn more about them :). I’m currently a full time pet sitter. I have a dog of my own as well. I will be available all hours of the day and night to care for your animal(s). I’m happy to spend the extra time taking puppies in training as well as senior dogs outside as much as they need. I have a friendly golden doodle named Weston to keep your pup company. I’m happy to help house brake puppies as well as provide care for senior animals.

About: I've always loved animals but didn't have the space to care for one of my own, until recently, so my interactions have mostly been through other's animals. Now I have my own puppies, 2 2 year olds and a 1 year old, so more experience everyday! I have decent space for my pups and have my own precautions. I will prioritize the safety and wellbeing of your fur baby as if they're my own, so I assure you that I will follow any and all instructions given to me by you.
About: I’ve lived and taken care of dogs and cats my whole life and have had multiple temporary dog sitting jobs. Jobs including; walking, feeding, bathing, etc. I’m working part time but am free many days of the week. I’m available mostly in the afternoon and night hours. If needed, I am able to work around some mornings. I have a fenced in yard in which my dogs run freely around. My clients dogs will be well cared of under my supervision and I will listen to any instructions necessary.
About: I grew up with two cats, so I love cats as well as dogs. In 2019, I adopted an incredibly loving, gorgeous lab pit named Lucy, and she keeps me very active every day! She was a rescue dog, and although we were originally fostering her, I bonded with her too much to let her go. I’ve always been a natural introvert and have been drawn to the compassion of animals. I believe we can learn more about our own humanity through caring for animals. I look forward to meeting your amazing furry friends! In addition to Rover, I substitute teach right now, and this allows me to have a very flexible schedule. It's closer to part-time than full-time. My priority is to listen and adapt to each client’s needs/preferences, so that both the client and their pets will be as happy as possible.
About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, ferrets, you name it and I've taken care of it! Animals are a passion of mine and through pet sitting I get to meet so many great animals. I have offered a verity of pet sitting services such as dog walking, house sitting and farm sitting. Through the 4 years I have been pet sitting I have watched and cared for both domestic pets, as well as farm animals, and I have a list of references to back up my work. I do have a local part time job so my schedule is very flexible when it comes to pet sitting. I am available to check in and care for your pets in the morning, afternoon, and at night. I am also available to watch pets overnight throughout the week and on weekends. I like to visit my clients home, and meet the animals I will be caring for prior to the service to ensure I am equipped to provide excellent care that makes the animal comfortable and healthy, as well as provide the client a piece of mind. I cater to how my clients want their animals cared for and treated, each home is different and I try my best to meet my clients standards.
