Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”

About: I’ve always had pets throughout my lifetime from kitties, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, squirrels that I hand fed and set free with my father- and many more. I worked in pet stores and help foster kittens when available. 💕 Look forward to meeting you soon. I work part time as a territory supervisor, and my work is flexible. I’m home every night and throughout the day leaving me with much time to care for your pets. I’ve given medications and feed depending on preference of pet and client. Each pet is unique to their way of being and I like to match the energy needed.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for friends and family for many years. I have experience living with 3 cats (currently no pets in the house). My partner and I would love to get a dog, but don’t want the responsibility of having a full time dog so thought this would be perfect for us. We will spoil your dog with lots of love and attention. I currently work 7:30am til no later than 3-4pm so I can walk your dog before I go to work, and after take them on a longer walk and to the park if allowed. They will also get a lot of attention throughout the day and playtime. When going on walks and to the park I like to keep dogs on the leash, unless the owner says they can reliably be off leash. I also have a backyard that is not fenced your pet can explore.

About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was about 10 yeads old. I had a lot of animals growing up and always made sure that they were top priority. I enjoy spending time with animals of all ages, so if they want to play fetch or cuddle a bit im happy to do both. Im used to setting up/following feeding routines, meds, walk schedules. I recently had a baby in August and im looking to get back out there with the animals. My daughter is still very young so im looking to hopefully be able to bring her along with me (as long as the pet parents/pets are okay with it). Im able to do check ins and walks for both cats and dogs and am available most days of the week and most times. I currently do not offer pet stays at my home, I have 2 dogs who are wonderful but can be picky with other animals. If this option does become available in the future I will update as soon as possible. 😊

“We had SUCH a wonderful experience with Meghan & Sean—and so did our pup! Our 3yo dog is nervous around new people and can be reactive. We were worried about how she would do staying with a family with young kids. Meghan & Sean listed to our worries and helped up brainstorm ways to put our dog at ease. And it worked like a charm! We were so grateful to the extra time Meghan & Sean spent to make both the humans and the doggo feel positive about the plan. We loved getting pics of the crew on their daily walks. About: I have spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all kind and have always had the love and drive to ensure they have the best life and experiences possible. This love and compassion has led me to volunteering at the SPCA for a number of months, which turned into working there for over 4 years as both an animal care attendant and as a veterinary assistant. In my time there, I have been given the most incredible opportunity to both care for and rehouse hundreds of animals and have even acquired a couple of cats along the way. I am currently in the process of opening my own dog daycare to provide a very loving, caring environment for the dogs to spend their day while their pet parents are away.

About: I’ve worked at animal hospitals for 28 yrs I’m reliable and good with peoples pets I can give meds if needed insulin as well I get lots of waging tails my way I prefer come to your home so your pet is more comfortable and has there familiar surroundings and all the things they’re used to toys their bowls, etc. I can stay the night if needed I like staying with pets at there home this helps also with stomach upsets and stress of being somewhere new and unfamiliar I like the pets to be able to keep there routine
