“Nicole took excellant care of Baxter and Oliver during our vacation. Daily updates and photos showed my pups happy and loved in my absence. Thank you so much for taking the worry away.”

“My dog had a great time with Jennifer, Thomas and their kids. They’ shared photos of her getting petted on the couch and going on walks. She was exhausted when she came home after having had a very fun day with this lovely family.”

“I found Jane on Rover last minute we were lucky she had space to take Kali for the weekend. First time for us to leave our dog with anyone so we were a bit nervous. Jane put us at ease and our dog Kali had a wonderful time playing with other pups all weekend long! Jane sent updates and photos and videos of Kali throughout her stay and it really put our mind at ease. Next time we can’t take Kali with us for some reason we will not hesitate to drop her off at Jane’s again.”

“Cipriana was great! This was Buddy's first time boarding after adopting him five weeks ago and it couldn't have gone better. The Meet and Greet beforehand was a great experience and the pictures and texts that Cipriana sent during Buddy's stay were very much appreciated. Buddy will be staying again in the near future. Thanks, Cipriana”

“Wonderful experience for me and my dog! Nicole is great at making you and your dog feel comfortable along with her exceptional doggie set up. You really cannot beat the personal attention and care she gives to your dog, it's worth every penny! We will definitely be a repeat costumer!”

“Deanne and Garrett did a great job and we’d happily use them again anytime. Our dog isn’t the easiest but I could quickly tell that they appreciated the individual she is and would do a wonderful job keeping her happy and safe.”

“Sean was absolutely great and I will definitely be using him again for future bookings! He was easy to communicate with both leading up to and during our boarding. My two dogs clearly were well cared for and came home happy and tired!”

“Janice was wonderful to our dog, Zephyr. He can be a bit apprehensive around other dogs and she took the time with him and managed all interactions perfectly. She sent lots of photos and updates and it was clear that Zephy was having a great time and loving the company. I was also completely at ease and felt that my dog was receiving the best possible care and oversight. We can’t wait to visit Janice and her family again soon!”

“We always ask Victoria to dog sit Hobbes when we go out of town. Our pup loves her and has such a great time and Victoria is so great at sending updates and photos and couldn’t be nicer! She’s the best!”

“We had a family medical issue and was able to book Jacqueline quickly. Our dogs are both rescues and it matters a great deal to us who we bring into their lives. Jacqueline immediately made us, and our dogs, feel comfortable and within 5 minutes of being with them, our eldest was resting in her lap. Jaqueline sent constant photos and updates and we are very grateful to have found her and will for sure book her again. TY again, Jaqueline. That last note was from the pups!”

“Once again, Rosalie came through wonderfully! This was Rumor's first experience with boarding overnight and she did fabulously with the dedicated and loving care of Rosalie. Thank you Rosalie!!”

“Seamus had a great overnight sleepover and loved playing with the other dogs. Gabe is great with dogs and there’s lots of room for them to run. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone.”

“Garrett & Deanne were really great! Ruby seemed to have a great time with them. They kept me updated on how she was doing (especially with the fireworks over July 4th). I'll definitely be having them watch my girl in the future!”

“I was so lucky to have found Volha! She is super sweet and has a great understand of dogs. Her and her family welcomed my large dog into their home as if it were there own family pet. She was quick to ask me about his routine and sent me pictures of my dog and let me know how he was doing - he looked extremely happy! I love that she offers pickup and drop offs it’s such a bonus. Will definitely be rebooking when I need a sitter again.”

“Joe is the best! Before my kitty met him, it was very difficult to leave town because I couldn't find someone she liked and who I trusted. Joe is kind, attentive, and a great communicator. He knows how to play with a cat, which is an art form. I am so happy that I can leave town again without worry.”

“Alina was amazing with my cat Izzy. Izzy doesn't come out for everyone but came out for Alina each time. Alina's reports were sothorough and made me feel like my cat was being so well cared for.”

“Andrea was so sweet with Benny 🐈⬛ and took great care of him while I was away. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals, and it made me feel really comfortable leaving him with her. Benny seemed happy and relaxed when I got back, which says a lot. I’d definitely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter!”

About: I grew up with mid-size dogs and often cared for small dogs belonging to family friends in Pittsburgh. When I moved upstate, I became a proud cat dad to a black cat named Lola for three years, and since then I’ve cat-sat for several older cats with specific food and medication routines. I’m comfortable with cats of different sizes and temperaments, and I’m always attentive to any special needs or preferences they may have, including medications, play-times, or litter routines. As a freelancer who works remotely, I have a flexible schedule that lets me give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m also available for house sitting and overnights, and pride myself on being responsible, respectful, and kind—treating every home and animal as if they were my own.
“It's always clear from Sarah's photos and reports of my cat that Sarah really understands her. I'm so happy my cat has such a great friend, and that I can leave her in such great hands!”

“Jamie was fantastic and came over the day before we needed care. Jamie was communicative, sent pics, and loved on our cats. We are so grateful and relieved that we were able to work with Jamie last minute!”

About: I had a dog in my family for around 10 years. He was really the best. It was so fun to watch him grow up and take care of him through it all. I absolutely adore animals and love to give them attention, play with them and learn with them. I work full time but have different hours and sometimes will be available in the mornings, sometimes the middle of the day, and sometimes weekends! I will always have time for animals. I provide a safe and comforting environment for dogs and humans alike. I am very considerate and observant of everything around me so I will always make sure everyone is safe and having a great time with everything they need. I am very respectful of people’s space and always make sure to leave things the way I found them.
About: I have always had a special connection with dogs. I grew up with dogs and treated them like part of the family. I have been primarily working as a pet nanny for 5 years for someone who traveled to Europe on a monthly basis. They are staying in Europe indefinitely so I am looking to add some new clients. I can offer your dogs fun playtime and a sense of stability by caring for them in their own environment. I am also available for walks and drop in visits. I send pictures and updates daily. Your best friend will be spoiled and pampered with me. I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of availability as this is my main job. I can also do long term sitting up to 6 weeks if necessary. I am responsible and professional and respectful in your home. Besides caring for your pets, I am happy to pick up mail and water plants.

“Rose was wonderful with my house and with my patch. She left the house clean and neat, and she left the patch with big smiles on their little faces. I would highly recommend her.”

“Cipriana and Pamela were a great team that provided excellent service. They were very thorough in understanding my pets' needs, which put my mind at ease while I was away.”

About: I have had pets all my life. In the past, I had 2 golden retrievers, an American Eskimo, as well as a cat, bird, and Guinea pigs. I currently have a 1.5 year old female German Shepard/lab mix that’s about 75lbs. I also have 4 cats, 3 around 10 years old and 1 that’s 8 with neurological issues. During college I worked for a company called Sandy Paws providing dog walking services daily for pet owners. I have been around all sizes and breeds of dogs and have no issues with any size or breed! I currently have a pretty flexible schedule. I currently work from home 50% of the time so I can accommodate pets in my home on the days I’m home. I can also have a flexible schedule during the week depending on the service. I genuinely enjoyed my time as a dog walker for Sandy Paws and would love to continue caring for dogs (and other pets) during my free time! I currently work from home 50% of my week so I can accommodate pets in my home during those days as well as weekends. I can also have a flexible schedule depending on the service. I have a fenced in yard and a dog that loves to play with other dogs. I do have cats so your pet needs to be cat friendly. I have experience with respecting my clients homes and privacy while providing excellent care to their pet.
“Simon was very competent, reliable and devoted to the care of our cat, Opie. He stayed in our house for a week caring for our cat. Opie seemed happy and well cared for on our return. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon.”

About: I love caring for cats of all ages, from kittens to seniors. I especially love playing with more rambunctious cats. I've lived in several situations with two or more cats in which they had to be slowly introduced or their interactions managed, and I'm confident in reading cats' body language. I think it is so important to be patient with cats and pay attention to their individual wants and needs. My own cat is very calm but cautious with other animals.
About: I've always loved animals and after years of convincing my parents, I got my first dog 11 years ago. He's a wonderful and healthy Pomeranian boy named Saige. Since he was my first pet I initially enrolled him in some classes to be trained where I'd of course accompany him and once the methods of training made sense, I was able to continue the training myself. I even learned to groom him after multiple negative groomer experiences which I'm sure a lot of pet owners can relate to. I actually really enjoy bathing, combing and cutting his hair to a point where I considered working as a pet groomer. I have experience caring for sick pets and providing medication as my dog has had two surgeries for the same genetic condition. I didn't have any significant interactions with cats until a year ago when I saw a stray in my backyard and decided to feed her. I thought she was a boy and named her Levi; little did I know Levi was pregnant and gave birth a couple weeks later to two kittens, Lila and Maya, who I absolutely adore and have adopted since. I knew I loved dogs but I didn't know how much I'd begin to adore cats. Their athleticism, wittiness, unending purrs, intelligence and comforting affection has fulfilled me in many ways. A woman who helped me spay the cats asked me to sit her senior cat named Tiger while she was away multiple times and I enjoyed it very much. From that experience I realized this is something I'd really enjoy doing more so I signed up for Rover. After signing up, I began walking a Great Pyrenees named Zack. I was his walker for over a year before I moved upstate. I loved walking Zack and learnt a lot about dog walking by walking such a big boy. He liked 2 hour walks in the morning and 1 hour walks in the evening so I’m used to long walks if your pet requires! I've had parakeets from the age of 7-16 so know how to provide basic care like food, water, and cage cleaning. I've also been vegan for 10 years now because of my love for all animals. I hope you can intrust me to help care for your pet and spend some great moments with them. I currently work over the weekends, including some Fridays. I'd be available on weekdays to petsit and/or provide walks for your pet! If you have any special request for Fridays you can contact me and I can let you know if I'd be available. I can provide your pet company, playtime, walks, of course meals, necessary medication and even some grooming like baths, ear cleaning, dental cleaning and am open to whatever other specifications you may have for what your pet needs.
About: Hi! My name is Andrea. I have lived in the Hudson Valley for almost 4 years now, and have been working in the area off and on since 2014. I live with my partner, Mike, and precious pup Kona. I have always lived with dogs. And recently, have been thinking about getting a cat! I am an Occupational Therapist in a school district full time and love to farm and bicycle during my off time. I’ve done house sitting and dog sitting previously and enjoyed the work. I have my own vehicle and am used to commuting around the Hudson Valley for work and for fun. I wanted to get back into dog sitting and pet sitting to assist in getting a new car and to get to spend time with pets! I have always been obsessed with dogs! I show that through meeting as many as I can when out in the community :). I am active person, so long walks and playing is something I can provide. I am open to any requests you might have and am great at keeping in touch with pet parents. I can always be available through text, call, or email. I’m so excited to meet you and your lovely pets!! I have a full time job, so weekends are my only availability. However, I am open to discuss any special circumstances! I might potentially be more available on a long weekend, when I am off from my school based job. I would want to care for your pets as you would or how you would want. I am great with a schedule and specific requests.
“Shelby took great care of our kitten while we were away. She’s so sweet and you can really tell how much she loves pets. We didn’t worry about our baby the whole time because we knew she was in good hands.”

“After a year and a half of pandemic home-time, it was harder than usual to leave our kitty Parker alone for a few days. Andreau completely eased our worries. He was communicative, sent us sweet updates every visit, and went the extra mile by grabbing our mail and turning our porch light on at night. We are so grateful to have found a sitter in Andreau and to have him as a neighbor!”

“Jane’s home is welcoming & relaxed. Our Sadie was nervous her first day of Doggie Daycare but was one of the pack by the I returned later in the day to pick her up. THANK YOU JANE!! Sadie will be back for another day with her doggie friends soon.”

“My dog had an AMAZING time with Nicole. He can be a bit anxious, but warmed right up to her and really enjoyed spending the day napping on the couch and taking walks. If I ever find myself needing a sitter in the area again I would rebook with Nicole in a heartbeat, especially since she even has fenced in areas outside that would be amazing when the weather warms up.”

About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. I've volunteered at dog shelters, spent hours walking dogs in all kinds of weather, and offered comfort to friends who've had to say goodbye to their best fur friends. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets plenty of attention - playing, feeding, and scratching behind the ears. I take my dog for swims in the river, off leash romps in the woods, and leashed walks around town. We also play fetch and tug-of-war in the house or on the deck. If your dog needs a playmate, my dog, Jackson, may be a good fit. My cats - depending on their mood - like to lounge in the sun, pounce on the occasional toy, run up stairs, and hunt for treats I've hidden for them.

“Amanda was an amazing sitter for our dog Honey! She was thoughtful, communicative, flexible on timing, and Honey seemed so happy and calm when we picked her up. I couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.
“Jacqueline was very friendly and communicative, and Bunsen took an instant liking. We received photos of her well-being during her stay and of her mile walk. Jacqueline’s home is conveniently located in a popular historic town, making drop-off/pickup easy on the way to/from Hunter Ski Resort from our hotel. Bunsen was well cared for and happy. She was also so tired, that she managed to rest during the long car ride back home! We would book Jacqueline again.”

“Marielle took great care of my little Zuzu! My puppy started the day sad about me leaving her there and by the end she was totally bonded with Marielle! She was also totally tuckered out so she clearly got plenty of exercise.”

“Janice is loving, attentive and kind. She communicated well during Addie's visit; we were given frequent updates to help reassure us that Addie was adapting well to her new environment. Addie seemed relaxed and in tune with Janice from the start. We had an introductory visit before our first drop-off where we could see that Addie felt comfortable and confident with Janice and her family. We could see from the photos that Janice sent that Addie was enjoying her time and getting to know the other animals (cats, dogs, sheep) that are part of Janice's home and farm. We could not have hoped for a better outcome. It meant a lot to us that Addie enjoyed her stay because she has a tendency to experience some separation anxiety, but she didn’t seem to have any that day. Janice has a gentle way with animals and is genuinely interested in how they feel and what they need. Addie received excellent care and loving attention during her visit.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience caring for animals of all kinds, not just dogs and cats. I currently care for my own dogs and I’ve spent years around animals with different personalities, needs, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with puppies who need patience and consistency, as well as senior pets who require a gentler pace, medication, or extra attention. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for a variety of my own animals, including my own dogs, horses, goats, and chickens. I work full-time Monday through Saturday, with Wednesdays off. I have a one-hour lunch break that allows me to stop in for potty breaks, walks, feedings, or check-ins during the day. Before and after work, I have plenty of time to provide attentive care, exercise, and companionship. Whether your pet needs a quick visit, overnight care, or a little extra attention while you’re away, I’m committed to treating them like my own. At this time, I provide care exclusively in my client’s homes, where pets are often the most comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each owner’s care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I also make sure your home is left just as I found it and will gladly provide photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. As a lifelong animal owner with experience caring for dogs, horses, goats, chickens, and other animals, I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities.

“Simon watched our little pup while we went away for the weekend. The two of them became fast buddies and we were grateful to know our little guy was with someone he was so comfortable with.”

“We had SUCH a wonderful experience with Meghan & Sean—and so did our pup! Our 3yo dog is nervous around new people and can be reactive. We were worried about how she would do staying with a family with young kids. Meghan & Sean listed to our worries and helped up brainstorm ways to put our dog at ease. And it worked like a charm! We were so grateful to the extra time Meghan & Sean spent to make both the humans and the doggo feel positive about the plan. We loved getting pics of the crew on their daily walks. It was also really really REALLY nice to see how much love Meghan and fam have for all animals, and how positive they were about our sometimes tricky dog. Our dog had a great week and we will definitely return to Meghan & Sean for future doggy needs, whether it is another week or a shorter visit. Highly recommend, zero notes!”

“We Love Caroline! She sent the sweetest update pics and was lovely to work with. Easy communication, good vibes all around. I’ll def be contacting her again for hangs with my pup.”

“Christine is fantastic. My dog is super happy at her place—he has some rescue-dog type separation anxiety, and the environment at Christine’s makes him very comfortable.”
