“Derek and Chelsea were nothing short of amazing in their care for our 2 dogs while we were away. They constantly sent pictures and updates which put us at ease. We also got in touch with them on short notice and they were able to accommodate us after I brought the dogs out for a meet-and-greet with them (and Piper)! They have a great property if you have active dogs, they went on long walks along/in the creek, through the woods and would also just let them play in the huge yard. Charlie, our 2yr old standard Goldendoodle, has to get 4 pills/day for seizures and they had no problems getting him his meds when he needed to take them. In the end, they were great and we’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for pet care!”

“My family and I went on a mini vacation for 3 nights. When I left my two dogs with Monica I felt very comfortable and felt there was no need to worry about anything, well boy was I right! She is fabulous! About 20 min into their stay with her, she messaged me pictures of them Playing and lounging around . The very last day one of my dogs was experiencing loose poops (we think it was just from the heat) which she also had messaged me about prior to pick up . About: I’ve grown up caring for dogs, cats, lizards, and hamsters! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly adore pets of all kinds. Whether they’re energetic, shy, scaly, fluffy, or somewhere in between, I treat every animal like my own best friend. I work remotely, which gives me a very flexible morning schedule and the ability to create my own hours. I love spending as much time as possible with the animals, making sure they feel loved, stay active and engaged through play, and are always safe and well cared for. I live in an apartment complex, so I generally take my dog out every few hours so he can get his exercise, use the bathroom, and enjoy the outdoors. I do the same with those I’m sitting for!

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 5, Ive owned 3 of my own over the years. My most current cat is my 10 year old girl that I got when she was a kitten. As much as I enjoy walking and going on adventures with my dog, i also love sitting and cuddling or petting my cat, playing with her little toys our just hanging out and giving her so me attention.

About: I’ve had a family dog forever! Family and friends are always asking to take care of their pets for a quick walk, potty or dinner. I have my own dog that I take care of so I know how much someone can love their dog as if it’s their child. Your pet will be in good hands! I teach so I am off for the summers. I can drop in over the summer and walk your dog if you’re on a day trip hiking or to the beach! Your dog can even play with mine at a dog park if they get along, she’s up to date on shots and is very friendly! My dog is solely on leash unless she’s in a fenced in area, so I have no problem walking your dog on leash. I have taken care of dogs from 10 pounds to 70 pounds and all sorts of energy levels.
About: I was raised on a small family farm, and have cared for goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and more while a part of that. As a child and teenager, I trained dogs through my local 4-H program, and later on started petsitting for family friends. I've cared for puppies, senior dogs, cats, chickens, cows, pigs, goats, turtles, geese, canaries, ducks, and so many others, and I'm always willing to learn something new! I work full-time, night shifts during the week and mornings on weekends, but I'm typically only gone 8 hours max, so there's still plenty of time for me to provide plenty of care and attention to the pets! I typically stay overnight, and will either crate the pets if needed, or let them sleep with me, I wake up with them and spend my day hanging out with them, playing or just relaxing. I do my best to care for each pet as their owner would, to help minimize stress.

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

She is very sweet, a big girl at 95lbs but extremely submissive in all situations! She would love a play mate and extra walks! Work from home M-F. Also have an above ground pool that your pup can swim in with my help if they like to. During the school year I am out of the house Mon-Fri from 7-4 so I can take dogs for boarding on Friday's starting at 4 or after. My favorite thing is to be home with my dogs on the weekend so most likely the shortest amount of time your pup(s) will be home without a human is 2-4 hours max. When I am home, the dogs are my first priority, with many walks, brushing, massage and pampering included in each visit! If your pup needs a bath and is well-behaved in the tub, I'd love to freshen them up! (I do not cut nails). All of my pups are on flea and tick prevention year round. Please reach out if you have any questions! I am home all day during the summer months so I can watch your pup 24/7! I have older pups who love to chill and a younger golden who loves to run around and play so whatever kind of dog you have they should fit right in. No aggressive dogs please! I am home 24/7 when watching your pup. I have a huge fenced in yard for them to play and a nice indoor area as well. Our dogs are allowed on furniture and prefer it over their expensive dog beds lol.

I am attentive to each dog's individual needs and ensure they are well cared for while their owners are away. Additionally, I have worked at Pet Supplies Plus for over 3 years which has further strengthened my knowledge of pet care and animal needs. I'm currently enrolled at Nazareth University and am available to care for pets around my schedule. I am available Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00 AM-9:30 AM, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM-5 PM. Weekend availability may vary, but I'm happy to discuss scheduling in advance. When caring for pets through walks and drop-in visits I work on keeping their routines consistent and stress-free. During walks, I make sure dogs are getting safe, enjoyable exercise, while paying close attention to surroundings and behavior. For drop-in visits I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, replenishing water, administering medication if needed, and giving pets plenty of attention and playtime. I also make sure pet's spaces are clean and comfortable before I leave, and provide updates and photos after each visit so owners feel confident and at ease.

“Derek and Chelsea were nothing short of amazing in their care for our 2 dogs while we were away. They constantly sent pictures and updates which put us at ease. We also got in touch with them on short notice and they were able to accommodate us after I brought the dogs out for a meet-and-greet with them (and Piper)! They have a great property if you have active dogs, they went on long walks along/in the creek, through the woods and would also just let them play in the huge yard. Charlie, our 2yr old standard Goldendoodle, has to get 4 pills/day for seizures and they had no problems getting him his meds when he needed to take them. In the end, they were great and we’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for pet care!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
