“Couldn't be more thrilled ...our 1 year old Shih Tzu who is still learning and is an overactive puppy can be a bit much to watch all day; so we were very concerned about leaving her with strangers overnight. However Theresa was fantastic not only did she allow us to bring all Peanut's stuff (pack and play crib/playpen and tons of toys, pillow, blanket, doggy dishes etc.) but she understood the fact that because this was all new to our young dog she especially took pains to know what Peanut's needs were. At first Peanut did not even want to enter the home and shied away from Theresa but Theresa took the time to win over Peanut and by the time we left her she was playing with her toys. Theresa sent us pictures of Peanut playing and having fun. We were especially happy knowing Theresa only takes one dog at a time in her home because our dog is small and young and doesn't know how to socialize with other pets (our vet wouldn't allow this until all her shots were completed) and Peanut is from a home with only adults and no small children we worried that other sitters who take in more than one dog or had their own pet might become a problem. However Theresa's policy of only one dog at a time who also doesn't have her own pet, and doesn't have numerous children which might be a concern for pets unused to active kids. Theresa's dog sitting arrangement was an ideal win win for us and Peanut. She will become our dogs sitter from now on as Peanut loved her and her family and now we can relax whenever we need to go out of town or just need a sitter for a day. Thank you Theresa and family you were the best!”

What a cool “kennel-esque” feel, well even more of a She Shed vibe, you know like a place you want to escape to with a good book & a glass of wine … except this one was designed perfectly for pups! Exactly what I was looking for, their own dedicated space full of warmth, the perfect cozy spot to curl up in, yet with plenty of room to roam & explore!! Naomi was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive to our two little dogs. It was clear from the beginning that she genuinely love animals and treated our pups with so much patience, affection, and care. We felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands. About: I love cats (but cannot have one due to spouse's allergies)! For the last 5 years, friends have trusted me to watch their cats, feed them and play with them. I've even taken care of a blind cat. As with dogs, I know all cats are different, and I follow all rules provided to me.
About: My background in cat care began in The League for Animal Protection of Huntington, NY in 2007. I volunteered there as an animal care associate, working with a variety of kittens and cats from many different walks of life. All of the cats were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with socialization, feeding, and even medication distribution. In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house- and cat-sitting job. After that, I entered the full-time workforce and adopted my first cat and love of my life Avery. Avery has since passed, but my home is now occupied by his feline brothers (in spirit): Handsome and Bubbles. They bring me more joy than I could ever imagine! I've always had a soft spot for cats, and find them to be such a delight, whether they're the affectionate type or even more aloof. I'd love to meet your cat or kitten and give you the peace of mind that they're cared for and loved while you're out on the weekend, working, or away on vacation!

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day. I live in a first-floor condo apartment in a neighborhood with lots of green areas — perfect for dogs who love quick potty breaks and longer sniffing walks. I let dogs free roam throughout my home and they're absolutely allowed on furniture. I treat every dog as if they were my own, which means lots of freedom, comfort, and attention. Since I do this part-time, I never have more than two unfamiliar dogs at once, so each dog gets a calm, focused environment. I'm extremely respectful of their space and routines — I follow all feeding, walking, and medication instructions to the letter, and I always leave things cleaner than I found them.

I work a hybrid job, from home Monday and Friday office tues-Thurs. all fur babies baby will love the attention and affection they will get. I worked at New York’s Best Pets on Dyckman 200 Street before it burned down unfortunately and there I took care of feeding, grooming and playing with the pets as well as customer service. “Couldn't be more thrilled ...our 1 year old Shih Tzu who is still learning and is an overactive puppy can be a bit much to watch all day; so we were very concerned about leaving her with strangers overnight. However Theresa was fantastic not only did she allow us to bring all Peanut's stuff (pack and play crib/playpen and tons of toys, pillow, blanket, doggy dishes etc.) but she understood the fact that because this was all new to our young dog she especially took pains to know what Peanut's needs were. At first Peanut did not even want to enter the home and shied away from Theresa but Theresa took the time to win over Peanut and by the time we left her she was playing with her toys. Theresa sent us pictures of Peanut playing and having fun. We were especially happy knowing Theresa only takes one dog at a time in her home because our dog is small and young and doesn't know how to socialize with other pets (our vet wouldn't allow this until all her shots were completed) and Peanut is from a home with only adults and no small children we worried that other sitters who take in more than one dog or had their own pet might become a problem. However Theresa's policy of only one dog at a time who also doesn't have her own pet, and doesn't have numerous children which might be a concern for pets unused to active kids. Theresa's dog sitting arrangement was an ideal win win for us and Peanut. She will become our dogs sitter from now on as Peanut loved her and her family and now we can relax whenever we need to go out of town or just need a sitter for a day. Thank you Theresa and family you were the best!”
