About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, since I was a baby, they’ve always been part of my family. Over the years, I’ve taken care of two of my own, which gave me firsthand experience with everything from training energetic puppies to supporting older dogs with more gentle needs. Unfortunately, both of my dogs are no longer with me due to a past relationship, but the love and commitment I put into their care remains a huge part of who I am. What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of personal experience and compassion I bring. I understand how important it is to create a safe, loving environment where dogs feel comfortable and cared for just like they would at home. I’m attentive to routines, patient with training, and comfortable providing senior care when needed. Every dog I look after gets treated like family, because to me, they truly are. As a full-time teacher during the week, my schedule is structured and organized, which naturally carries over into how I approach pet care. I am very interested in walking dogs from hours 3-7pm on weekdays! While my weekdays are busy with the classroom, my evenings are flexible, and my weekends are completely open to devote my full attention to pets. On weekends, I can fully prioritize walks, playtime, training, and extra cuddles, making sure each pet gets the time, love, and care they deserve. Caring for animals isn’t just something I fit into my schedule, it’s something I look forward to and plan my time around. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my approach is always the same, providing a safe, loving, and structured environment that feels comfortable and familiar to each animal. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, from feeding and medication schedules to walks, playtime, and rest. In a client’s home, I make sure their space is respected and that their pet feels secure in their own environment. If a pet is in my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly atmosphere with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I also focus on communication with pet parents, sending updates and photos so they know their furry family member is happy and cared for. My goal is to make every pet feel loved and every owner feel reassured while they’re away.

About: I understand that the worst part of your day is leaving your dog. Saying goodbye when you go to work or go out of town doesn’t have to be so tough once you get to know me. I absolutely love dog’s and gaurentee that I will provide your pup with whatever he/she needs to be happy and feel at home. If it’s just a walk I still make sure your dog is satisfied and happy anyway that I can. I have tons of experience and love my job. I also enjoy going on hiking adventures so let’s get creative and make a plan that exactly fits your dogs needs! I understand that some dogs require more than others. I can’t wait to meet your dog! I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule. I’m a local fishing guide in the area. I will always make your pet my #1 priority. I have a large fenced in yard that the dogs can enjoy anytime they’d like. I do allow dogs on the furniture as they please unless advised otherwise. I try to have a good sense of how your pet is feeling throughout the day and do my best to make them happy as can be.

From creepy crawlies to furry friends, I'm here for any and every animal that comes my way! Additionally, I have a lot of experience meeting new families and learning new routines very quickly. While I hold a full time day job I am looking to fill some of my extra time caring for the pets in my community. I’m self-employed, which means very flexible hours. Weekends are not out of the question with notice. I always try to find ways to make scheduling work. I will make sure that your loving companions are safe, fed, walked (if applicable), loved and attended to for the entire duration of my visit.

Back in CO I house sat and watched dogs frequently and loved it , now I work at a Canine daycare and Training facility in Plattsburgh Tuesday-Friday. Brings me joy everyday to help people take care of their fur babies ❤️ I work Tuesday through Thursday throughout the day but have a lengthy lunch break that I can leave and assist others with their pets , Friday I have a half day so Im available all afternoon. Saturday- Monday I’m available for overnight boarding and checkins ( walks , feeding , etc ) . Let me care for your fur baby while you’re away ! I have a large yard with one well behaved girl dog and two cats, I can provide a run line if wanted or just frequent leashed walks if that’s preferred . There are plenty of toys and outdoor shade , as well as a baby pool for cooling off in summer . I have a XXL crate so I can crate your animals if wanted/necessary , and a “Pet room” where they can sleep on the bed or chair as they desire.

About: I’ve cared for cats my whole life and have experience looking after them in clients’ homes. I provide love, attention, playtime, and follow each cat’s routine to ensure they are happy, safe, and comfortable, including kittens, adult cats, and seniors.

“I would highly recommend Dawn to take care of your fur baby; she cared for my rambunctious Goldendoodle as if he were her own. She is conveniently located in a quaint neighborhood that has limited traffic and no unleashed dogs; so, in addition to getting exercise in Dawn’s fenced in backyard, my puppy got exercise when Dawn walked around the neighborhood. After playing with toys supplied by Dawn, my dog cozied up to her dog for a nap. I was so hesitant to leave my precious baby with a complete stranger (he’s my first ever dog and I love him so much), but after meeting Dawn, I felt completely at ease entrusting her to take the greatest care of him. About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was 17. I have had lots of experience walking active larger breeds and taking care of puppies, kittens and cats. When I’m not hanging out with animals, I stay active and creative. Over the years I’ve worked as a preschool teacher, full time nanny, swim coach/ instructor and security guard in New York as well as Northern California. I believe that understanding animals vocal and physical actions through sincere intuitive observation, is the most important quality to have when taking care of a pet and their needs. Safety, trust & environment; There are many safe trails throughout the Adirondacks that I’m comfortable walking dogs on and I always bring water to share with a on the go water bowl! When traveling with animals I always put on a gentle playlist I made for my own pets to ensure they don’t get any anxiety from the sounds of being on the road. I have a great amount of experience with bathing/ washing dogs and cats for either sensitive issues or just a routine bath for a muddy pup. I have lots of experience with handling and providing medication to animals, as well as bottle feeding with a gentle approach.
