“We can not rate Christalle and her husband Brek highly enough. From the beginning contact/meet n greet stage they were communicative and helpful, calming all our over-protective doggie-parent nerves. (Jack is nervous with new people but warmed to both of them immediately). They left us feeling tranquil about leaving our most precious love with them. something that has NEVER happened in our 5 years of various boarding/sitting experiences. During Jack's 5 day stay with them they sent us several pictures, several times, of our boy living it up with them! They even donated their own blankets and bedding for him to snuggle in as I forget to bring his bed in my rush to leave for the airport. Playtime and outside fun seemed to be in abundance. Christalle&Brek's apartment has a fenced-in back and front area perfect for dogs to roam. Jack was petted and loved as though he was family, of that I am sure. So much so, that much to my amazement, he didn't want to leave them when I came to pick him up! (and btw they were very understanding about our several-times delayed return flight home). This delightful, truly dog-loving couple exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you guys. We love you!”

“Janyl went above and beyond to provide amazing care to my two cats while I was away for two weeks. I was nervous to leave them for this amount of time especially because one is elderly and has some health issues. Janyl immediately put me at ease during our initial meet and greet. She was very thorough, asked great questions, and was clearly very knowledgable. Janyl had great intuition when it came to the cats' temperaments. She checked in with me daily, sent lots of pictures, and gave me a detailed run down of what she and the cats did each day. She even clipped their nails during her visit and vacuumed. About: I grew up with two cats, so I love cats as well as dogs. In 2019, I adopted an incredibly loving, gorgeous lab pit named Lucy, and she keeps me very active every day! She was a rescue dog, and although we were originally fostering her, I bonded with her too much to let her go. I’ve always been a natural introvert and have been drawn to the compassion of animals. I believe we can learn more about our own humanity through caring for animals. I look forward to meeting your amazing furry friends! In addition to Rover, I substitute teach right now, and this allows me to have a very flexible schedule. It's closer to part-time than full-time. About: I grew up with dogs and recently owned 2 rescued dogs. I have land around my home and access to a wooded area with trails for longer walks. I am comfortable with caring for dogs in any facet. I am a teacher and I am looking for summer work. I am free every day until late August. I am willing to walk your dog in your neighborhood or board a dog over night. I have a stake in my yard for when my daughter visits with her 35 lb. Dog. Previous bigger dogs were walked on a leash at all times. I usually walk my dogs 1-2x daily for up to a 1/2 hour.

Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

“She did amazing, I will be asking for her service again. When I got home about an hour after she had returned my furbabies from their walk they were excited to see me per usual but not jumping off the wall. I did get a movement alert from our camera facing the driveway, and it was her expertly handling both of my giant furbabies while leaving the house. Usually our younger one tries ripping people's shoulders out but he was walking very pleasantly next to her. She did great I would give 10 stars if it were possible.”

About: I am excited to join Rover because of my compassion for animals and their safety. I have been around animals my entire life and currently run a horse boarding facility and feral cat rescue! The health and safety of your animals is my top priority, and so is treating them with the kindness that I would want my own animals to be treated with. I am comfortable with dogs or all ages, and I am very attentive to puppies and kittens and elderly animals in need of medications or therapies. My hours surrounding my part time job, which is 3 to 4 hours in the afternoon, is very flexible. I am confident I can accommodate nearly every time or day and length of stay. In a client's home I will care for the pets however I am instructed. However, I will never allow an animal to free roam or allow the animal to be turned out in a fenced in area that I find unsuitable, regardless of instruction, as I do not want to be responsible for the animal's escape.

I was around many family members who had dogs such as Newfoundlands, Labradors, and little dogs such as Chihuahuas. I pet sit four cats and a dog several times for a family member while she was on vacation and that was a very good experience. They all slept in my bed. I have had dogs in every size from big black labs to small chihuahua. I have watched several dogs that have had to have medication. If I am away from my home it's mainly in the evenings or to take my kids to appts which varies. I have a fenced-in backyard on Travis AFB that looks out to the hills and trains along with several dog parks around me. I also have a big garage where if it rains they can be played within a big open space as in fetch or tug of war!! I love to send so many pictures and videos to the dog mommy and daddy also, so you won't have to worry about how they are doing! I have two children aged 3 & 1 that adore dogs and are great with them. Our little 8 lb Shih Tzu puppy will also be around, she sleeps in a play yard and is very well with other dogs. My husband also lives in the household but is gone during the day. We love to go on walks and runs every day!!! We LOVE the outdoors.

About: I have taken care of animals my entire life and know that they are more then just pets they are family. I will treat them as they such :) I work from home full time mo day threw Friday normally till 430 and can take breaks to let them outside in country for a walk. I live in country suburb and can walk dogs on break with leash. I can let out on my breaks from work or afterwork anytime.

“This was our first time leaving our sweet girl, and we went back and forth on different options. We ultimately decided to try an overnight sitter first, with the plan to move forward if it felt like a good fit—and we’re so glad we did. Kai is a rescue, so we’re always a bit concerned about how she’ll do around other dogs. But at Maya’s, Kai becomes a completely different dog! She plays with Maya’s little Milo and seems to love Maya just as much as she loves being with us. During her first stay, Kai was a little nervous, but the second time—when we brought her for a longer stay—it felt like a full-on reunion. She was so excited to see Maya and Milo, and that gave us all the reassurance we needed to truly relax while we were away. Maya went above and beyond by sending us tons of pictures and videos of Kai’s “vacation,” and it genuinely looked like she was having the best time. In fact, we even came home a day early and still let Kai stay the extra day because she was clearly having such a blast! We will absolutely continue to use Maya as our go-to sitter. She loves the furbabies like her own, and Milo is just as sweet and welcoming. We couldn’t ask for a better experience!”
